Got Box 344 and it is the best box I have gotten from Sephora in a few months. Very happy with this one and I was about to cancel… looks like I will be staying on for a bit longer 🙂. The shade of the HD Perfector is a bit dark for my very pale skin but it does blend down quite nicely and maybe this summer I will actually need this shade if I get a bit of color (besides sunburn red).

Ended up getting 344. Why would Sephora even bother sending out samples of foundation if the lightest shade offered is medium? It seems like everyone who got this box is porcelain/light. If sending foundation samples, send appropriate colors, or don’t send them at all.

The gloss is great, and is my favorite product in the box.

I’m getting 690 and will use everything but the shampoo & conditioner, which will either go up for swap or gifted, or maybe kept in the “guest” bathroom so when my daughters come to town they don’t have to worry about bringing shampoo/conditioner with them. It’ll depend on the size of the samples

Box 609 here and I am super relieved. My last box wasn’t the best.

I was really hoping for the TDE product as I recently purchased two of their products and am loving them.
A little confused as to why we need two lip products. I don’t really care for gloss or the sephora cream lipsticks.
But skincare this month is on point. I really want to try the Purity mask and the Peter Thomas Roth primer looks amazing, plus it’s sold out on the website.
Living Proof is one of the best hair lines I have ever tried so I’m happy for the shampoo and conditioner.

Boxes look good this month!

For those getting 334 saying that shade 6 is probably too dark. I looked on Sephora’s website and the very lightest shade is actually “3”, so it’s not as dark as it sounds. Looking at the swatches on the wrist picture it actually looks light. I would definitely describe it as “fair” or “light” skin tone!!

However, if you’re super pale (like me) maybe consider changing your profile from “fair” to porcelain. I used to have mine as fair (because that’s what I would describe it as) but last year received a foundation that was way too dark so I switched it, and since switching it to to porcelain they pretty much completely stopped sending me shaded products! So if you’re frequently getting products that are too dark, consider that option.

The only foundation I have ever received since switching is the make up for ever one we got a couple months ago where every single box had one, which surprisingly was my shade!!! Any other time there’s been a skin tone based product in boxes, I’ve never ever gotten
those variations so I don’t have to worry!

Like this month when the spoiler said foundation or lip gloss, I was 99% sure I would be getting lip gloss. I was right, I’m getting 690 and I’m so excited!!

I changed to porcelain, I thought fair was the lightest, oops. I am usually the very first shade for foundation, so I should have been porcelain. However, I happy to hear that once you changed your shades where correct. I got a foundation last month too and it too was too dark, but now I know why! Thanks!

What the heck! I am box #344 and my profile has my skin tone fair… no way shade #6 is going to work. Why can’t they get it together!

I’m also getting #344 and am super confused. There is no way I can wear a foundation that dark. My color IQ match for that foundation is #3. Also, I thought we were supposed to get the foundation or the lippie not both? I’m also super bummed that not everyone is getting the DE, I thought we all were since it was one of the “exclusive” spoilers for MSA.

Which number do I look at?, My ‘Item #’ or ‘Order Detail Number?’, Because my item number ends with 344 but my order detail number ends with 311?! I’m confused!

I have been arguing this with them myself. Signed up on the 4th, after a week of my order not showing up on my account I messaged them and was told I would get May… Here’s the replies I got:

“We apologize for any confusion. All PLAY boxes are billed between the 1st and the 4th of each month. You must have signed up for PLAY prior to this billing cycle to receive this month’s box. The box is shipped in the 3rd week and typically arrives around the 20th.

You will receive the May box around the 20th, as you signed up on 4/4/2018 after the current months billing cycle.

As stated in our PLAY! policy, “Due to high demand, your first box will usually arrive the month after you sign up (I.e., if you sign up between January 1 and January 31, your first box will be February).” We have made no promises on whether you will receive the box this month or not, at this time we’re really not sure if you are receiving April’s box, being that you signed up during our billing cycle, you were placed on a waiting list. If you have any questions or concerns regarding PLAY! subscription you may Click Here to view them.

I really do apologize for the inconvenience, and our intentions are for you to love PLAY! as much as we love it as well. I advice you to wait until around the 15th which is when they’re shipped to see if you’re receiving it or not. ”

Today, on the 11th it finally updated and I am getting the April box. I don’t know if it’s because I argued with them, or if it’s because they just don’t know what is going on there.
To sum up, you probably won’t get this month’s box, as I had such a hard time getting it when I subbed on the 4th.

Last month I had signed up on March 7th, and after sending Sephora CS an email asking them about my box that I thought I should of been getting, I never received a response to this day. Luckily it seems like I’m getting April’s. The same thing happened in October. I signed up super early in the month but never received any shipping info. I was so upset I cancelled. This is my attempt at trying again, but just wanted to warn you of what happened to me

I just called their customer service to get my number, it’s 351…she couldn’t see what was in it though.
But- I casually mentioned I was curious since I was thinking of canceling due to nothing on my profile seems to be considered with the products I keep getting. She said that if I’m unhappy they’d send out a different box. Just wanted to throw that out there.
Dying to know what’s in this box tho!! I’d love the IT and hd!!

they are sample sizes and the more expensive brands are mini size I personally do not feel it is worth it

They are usually sample sizes. Depends on what you are looking for whether it’s worth it. If you want to try a variety of items without committing to full size prices then yes it’s worth it. I really like my bag this month (690).

This is my first Sephora Play box and I am getting #344. I am SUPER confused though with shade #6 of the foundation….. I am literally always the lightest possible shade of every foundation, so that’s WAY to deep for me. What’s the point of choosing my skin tone if they completely disregard it? Guess it’ll go up for swap along with the it bye bye pores. It’s my favorite powder but I already have the full size and 2 additional samples. Excited to try that perfume though and the U.S. gloss!

Do you have fair or porcelain marked in your profile? Just asking because it seems like most people commenting they are getting 344 have fair marked. I’m technically light (or fair/medium) but have fair chosen and everything I have been sent matches so I left it. If you are getting items too dark, make sure you have porcelain selected. Someone else commented above that they do and avoid all tinted products or foundations that way.

I actually do have porcelain marked. In the summer I’m the second lightest but most of the year I’m the lightest, so I made sure I had porcelain down.

I am usually very happy with my Play boxes, but I am getting box #344. If the Make Up 4Ever foundation is a shade 6, it is not going to work. I have my skin shade listed as fair. Why this color?
