EBY is a new monthly intimates subscription service that delivers affordable & luxurious seamless undies to your door while empowering women through microfinance. 10% of EBY’s new sales provide small loans to women to start their own businesses. This subscription is founded by Renata Black (a microfinance guru trained under Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus) and Sofia Vergara (an actress, business powerhouse, & seamless undie devotee).

As I said in my last review, I love the empowering message and the mission behind these panties!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This review is for the $16 monthly subscription with the following preferences:

  • Step 1 [size]: Large

EBY March 2018 review

About EBY Box

The Subscription Box: EBY

The Cost: $16.00 per month for 1 pair, $45.00 per quarter for 3 pairs

The Products: one pair of underwear monthly, or three pairs of underwear quarterly

Shipping: Free shipping to all states and territories the United States, including Puerto Rico.

Good to Know: This is the 2nd pair of panties that I received for March because the first shipment included the exact same teal briefs from my last review. I reached out and explained I was bummed that I got a duplicate – and they told me to keep those panties, and shipped these out about 2 weeks later. My experience with this customer service has been good, but some of the comments on my last review have indicated different experiences.

While EBY does not send a packing slip, they do include a standard insert card detailing their mission.

EBY Brief Panty in Black– Retail Value $16.00 (available by subscription only)

The “Brief” Description from EBY:

A woman has no boundaries, but panty lines do. Flocking technology keeps these briefs where they should be, and seamless construction means there’s zero panty line to show.”

EBY doesn’t use elastic or seams, instead they use a special fabric that seamlessly shapes your EBY undies to your body, and eliminates all traces of panty lines.

Here’s a closer photo of what a seamless seam looks like:

These undies are made in Sri Lanka out of 85% polyamide and 15% Elastane and have 100% cotton lining.

EBY recommends hand washing in cold water, air drying flat to dry to preserve the integrity of the panty. But, honestly, that’s not how I roll (hand wash whaaaaaaaaaat?). I’m totally ignoring the care instructions – and washing with my other undergarments on a normal cycle, with warm water, in a washing machine. I am also tossing them in the dryer on normal, and they’re holding up just fine.

I was hoping that I would receive a different style panty this month, but it is the exact same cut as I had last month. Instead of Teal, I received Black. I love the fit of these panties and can always use a new pair of black undies, so I am still pleased with the item.

Verdict: I still maintain that I really like these panties, and for me, they do stay in place and I’ve never had a bunching or rolling issue. They are soft, comfortable, silky, and I never have to worry about panty lines, even at the gym. While $16 is on the high end of what I’d typically pay for a single pair of panties, I like the practical convenience of having new undies delivered to my door monthly, the quality of the product, and the fact that a portion of that money is going to help other women achieve their goals.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Since you will likely have different profile answers, it’s unlikely that you will get this exact pair. However, you should receive your box about a week after you sign up – so you definitely could still get a first delivery in April.

Value Breakdown: At $16.00 for this box, you’re paying $16.00 for a pair of undies, but helping to fund someone’s dream.

I got the buy 3 get 1 free for 50% off deal last month. I love these underwear! To me, they feel like I’m not wearing any, but I’m covered. I won’t continue, because $15 per underwear is too high for me. I’m a size 22ish, and ordered the xxlg, and they fit well. At first, I thought they were too big, I’m used to undies with elastic around the top/legs. These are so comfy, no pinching, pantylines or wedgies.

Glad you like them!

$16 for a special care panty and they have the guts to send you the same exact one in a different color the next month. Sounds like a bad infomercial.

Eh, it wasn’t great. I do like the panties though. I think they prob don’t have a ton of inventory yet – I’m giving the benefit of the doubt right now.

These are among the worst panties and worst customer service I’ve ever tried. I got three pair plus one free after glowing reviews here and in the forums. They rolled down at the top and rode up at bottom. EBY asked for photos of me wearing the underwear but at 48 with four kids… there is no way I’m comfortable sending pictures in my underwear over the internet. I wear a 12/14 and ordered the XL. Since I refused to send them photos they are only willing to cancel future mailings. Had they fit I would of course like them, but no recourse other than photos when they didn’t fit is not okay.

I was checking past reviews and this made me stop in my tracks! I can’t believe that they asked for a picture of you in the panties. Not okay at all.

Colette

That is beyond horrible. I’m so sorry you had that experience. Definitely not OK!

Missy

They’ll never get my money!! Creepy!

Beth

Eww. That is horrendous!! I’m so sorry you had to deal with such gross and inappropriate behavior!!

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

That’s so horrible! What kind of company would ask that?

Reply ButtonReply

Stefanie

Are you serious this company actually asked you for a pic of you wearing said undies?!?!?! That is unbelievable and rather skeevy…not gonna lie. Very unprofessional.

Jennifer

They absolutely asked for pictures of me in the underwear so that they could determine a correct size or refund me. I posted a screenshot on the forums in the EBY thread. When I refused and said it was icky and I don’t send selfies of me in my underwear to even my husband they asked if I would like to cancel the account but wouldn’t make any other effort toward resolution. Again, screenshot is on the forums.

Amber

That’s disgusting that they would ask you for a photo while wearing the undies. Young or old, skinny or heavy, or anywhere in between and around, that is NEVER ok.

Katie

So sketchy lol

omg! No they didn’t ask for a picture of you wearing their undies!!!!! I can’t even.

I’ve had this sub for 2 months. And while $16 is high (for me) for one panty – these are totally worth it! Once I put them on, I totally forget I’m wearing underwear. They NEVER creep up! That, plus a COTTON lining?!! I’m sold. Best panties ever!!

@Colette – there was a banner on their website when I signed up (its still there today) that new subscribers will get TWO panties (1 free) in their first box. You might want to mention that in your review.

Also, FYI – The first box I received had one teal and one black panty. This month’s box has one black one. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that the black panty was the free one last month.

Thanks Beth! I’m wondering if maybe since it’s a new company they just don’t have a ton of inventory yet – which is why we’re seeing repeats? I love the fit though, so I too am still giving the benefit of the doubt!

A seamless seam makes no sense. That is a definite seam. Just saying…..

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

There is a picture I just added to the forums of a pair from Yummie that I got in the mail today that are truly seamless. It is in fact possible.

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy

Seamless is possible. A seamless seam is not.

Colette

I understand what you’re saying – but it does end up being pretty flat against your skin, minimizing lines.

Reply ButtonReply

sara

You are correct! They gotta get sewn together somehow ; )

But I believe the term used here designates seams being on the inside, and often covered over in a smooth fashion, so that there are no seam lines on the outside to interfere with how your clothes lay (no bumpy lines showing through your clothes). Also, some people are sensitive to feeling seams on the inside, so covering over the seems with a soft fabric addresses that problem.

I tried these out and at first they felt really comfortable but the second I started to move and bent down to pick something up the rolled down. I was so hopeful but they are definitely not for me.

Colette

Ah, wish they would have worked out for you.
