Collections by Joya April 2018 Review
Welcome to my favorite time of the month: the time when my Joya box arrives and I literally run into my house to open it! Lately, Joya has been including this little “thank you” card with some info about where to find them online. It’s a nice little intro to the box.
Just like last month, my jewelry this time around came in this canvas pouch. Having to open the pouch to find what’s waiting for me just furthers the anticipation, eeeep!
Cyprus Pendant Necklace — Retail Value $58.95
I think this is the first “princess length” necklace I’ve ever received in a Joya box—usually, they’re long. Actually, I wear long necklaces most often, with some chokers mixed in, but I’ve been exploring different lengths lately. This one is beautiful and went perfectly with the scoop neckline of the dress I happened to be wearing. It features a natural, faceted labradorite stone in a rectangular shape, displayed at the end of its adjustable, 18K gold-plated chain. I love when natural elements are included in delicate jewelry like this!
Stefania Earrings — Retail Value $78.95
Another Joya first for me is receiving a matching set of pieces. These gorgeous earrings also showcase labradorite stones under their brushed gold posts. Both the above necklace and these earrings also come in lapis (rich blue) and Moonstone (ivory) stones as well, and any one of them would have been equally treasured had I received a different type, but I’m also really into what I did get. It’s funny, I noticed with the sun shining through my window that they look almost identical to my cat’s eyes. Thought that was a fun connection! 🙂
Here are both pieces together, worn on the first really warm and sunny day of the season! Aren’t they just lovely? I was actually wearing the Jori Earrings I received in last month’s box on that day and popped this pair on for the sake of modeling them for you guys, but when I officially debut this set, I’ll probably pair them with a solid top so they can really shine. As is often the case, I may not have chosen these items for myself over some of the other gorgeous accessories Joya carries, but now that I have them to pair with my own wardrobe, I adore them and wouldn’t wish for anything else.
Also included is gift packaging for if you’d like to pass any of these pieces along. This little squeezebox is pretty much the norm, and it arrived with a pretty piece of peach raffia ribbon. I also always save a little bit of the sizzle from inside the shipping box to pad whatever I might put in this gift box down the line!
Verdict: This was another great month from Collections by Joya! Both pieces will be beautiful dressed up or down, worn together or separately. This box costs $49.95, including shipping, and the two items I received add up to $137.90. That’s an undeniably great value!
