Joya April 2018 Thank You

Welcome to my favorite time of the month: the time when my Joya box arrives and I literally run into my house to open it! Lately, Joya has been including this little “thank you” card with some info about where to find them online. It’s a nice little intro to the box.

Joya April 2018 Pouch

Just like last month, my jewelry this time around came in this canvas pouch. Having to open the pouch to find what’s waiting for me just furthers the anticipation, eeeep!

Joya April 2018 Cyprus Necklace

Cyprus Pendant Necklace — Retail Value $58.95

I think this is the first “princess length” necklace I’ve ever received in a Joya box—usually, they’re long. Actually, I wear long necklaces most often, with some chokers mixed in, but I’ve been exploring different lengths lately. This one is beautiful and went perfectly with the scoop neckline of the dress I happened to be wearing. It features a natural, faceted labradorite stone in a rectangular shape, displayed at the end of its adjustable, 18K gold-plated chain. I love when natural elements are included in delicate jewelry like this!

Joya April 2018 Earrings

Stefania Earrings — Retail Value $78.95

Another Joya first for me is receiving a matching set of pieces. These gorgeous earrings also showcase labradorite stones under their brushed gold posts. Both the above necklace and these earrings also come in lapis (rich blue) and Moonstone (ivory) stones as well, and any one of them would have been equally treasured had I received a different type, but I’m also really into what I did get. It’s funny, I noticed with the sun shining through my window that they look almost identical to my cat’s eyes. Thought that was a fun connection! 🙂

Here are both pieces together, worn on the first really warm and sunny day of the season! Aren’t they just lovely? I was actually wearing the Jori Earrings I received in last month’s box on that day and popped this pair on for the sake of modeling them for you guys, but when I officially debut this set, I’ll probably pair them with a solid top so they can really shine. As is often the case, I may not have chosen these items for myself over some of the other gorgeous accessories Joya carries, but now that I have them to pair with my own wardrobe, I adore them and wouldn’t wish for anything else.

Joya April 2018 Gift Wrap

Also included is gift packaging for if you’d like to pass any of these pieces along. This little squeezebox is pretty much the norm, and it arrived with a pretty piece of peach raffia ribbon. I also always save a little bit of the sizzle from inside the shipping box to pad whatever I might put in this gift box down the line!

Verdict: This was another great month from Collections by Joya! Both pieces will be beautiful dressed up or down, worn together or separately. This box costs $49.95, including shipping, and the two items I received add up to $137.90. That’s an undeniably great value!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Order by 5/8 to get the May box!

Value Breakdown: At $49.95 for this box, you’re paying approximately $24.98 per item. For such high-quality accessories with beautiful natural stones in them, that’s a great deal. Here’s about how it would break down per item:

  • Cyprus Pendant Necklace: $21.35
  • Stefania Earrings: $28.60

  1. OK. As much as I’m trying to simplify and pare down boxes, I think I have to at least try this. I am so impressed every month. The pieces are beautiful and such high quality. I’m in!

    • Well, I just tried to sub and no matter what I did, it kept defaulting my order to overnight shipping for $21.95. That can’t be right, can it?

      • Hey Amy! Oh gosh, you will love this box! I’m sorry you’re facing issues with shipping—$21.95 should be the international shipping price. If you live in the US, that isn’t right. I’ve had positive experiences with Joya’s customer service team if you want to reach out: [email protected]. I’d also be happy to reach out to them for you if you like!

  2. I got a matching pair of dark blue turquoise necklace and earrings. I can’t find the earrings on their website to figure out the stones, there were a couple of smaller stones offsetting the main blue one, but the quality is amazing on these. By far my favorite box!

    • Oooh sounds gorgeous! Could it be lapis (like these https://www.collectionsbyjoya.com/products/stefania-earrings)? I couldn’t find the earrings I received on their site until I typed “labradorite” into the search bar. Maybe try searching for lapis and see if your earrings come up!

      • I got a reply from CS about my earrings, though I still can’t find them on their website:

“This month’s earrings are inspired by an original Etruscan piece. The center stone is Lapis and the small accent stones are CZs. The earring is set in solid brass with 18K gold micron plating. The earring posts are sterling silver. ”

        This is the necklace: https://www.collectionsbyjoya.com/products/east-west-pendant

Such high quality!! I recommend this box to everyone!

  3. Gorgeous!

  4. I received a different necklace and earrings this month, the Maya necklace and the Lizzy earrings, both with moonstones. I really love them! The set you received is beautiful as well!

    • I like the theme of matching sets this month! I’m glad you love yours. 🙂

  5. Christen,
I took your recommendation and ordered this box. I received the same items and am really looking forward to wearing them! Such classy pieces!
    Thanks!
    Liz

    • Hey Liz! Omg it makes me SO HAPPY that you’re into what you received (and that you ended up with these same beautiful pieces)! YAY!

  6. Love!!

  7. Those are beautiful. I love labradorite.

    • Aren’t they, though? It’s one of those amazing stones that looks so different in every light!

  8. The jewelry looks lovely on you. I like labradorite as well. I just bought a labradorite and silver ring a couple months ago and I end up wearing it almost every day. I also have moonstone jewelry I wear often. I find both stones to be neutral and go with almost everything.

    • Thank you, Laura! Sounds like you have good taste in stones. 😉
