I just received an email that shipping is going to be delayed by a week or two. I understand that things happen and appreciate the communication but I am so bummed. I *never* get to travel. Finally going away for spring break this year and was so excited to have a travel themed box in my hands before I go, especially those earrings. 🙁

@HappyRebelBox

Hi, Anne. Send us an email and let us know when you are traveling. If there is any way to get a box to you before you leave, we will. Look forward to hearing from you!

I didn’t order a Mystery Box but I love every facet of my Happy Rebel Subscription. Their curation is outstanding, they don’t have a shipping delay every box, their Customer Service has been excellent for me, and the retail value is always fair for what I paid for the box. The charitable aspect is a great plus, AND I love that they went out of their way to be size-inclusive on the velvet robe. Thanks Happy Rebel 🙂

I totally agree! I can’t wait to get my box.

Thank you so much, Krista! <3 <3 <3

I’m hoping whatever is left in the box is something amazing that’s going to tie all these things together to fit the theme because right now I’m not getting it from the spoilers. Your Michael Kors Jetsetter crossbody on instagram is more fitting than these 3 items.

I too was an excited potential annual subber who bought the BTBF mystery box and was converted to a deeply unhappy ripped-off consumer by the experience. My box was one of the last to arrive and didn’t even have the promised RV in value. By the time my box arrived, I had watched on the forum and in tbe comments here on tne blog as many other folks reported their difficulty in getting Happy Rebel to really set things right. The most people were getting was attitude from the CS reps and a paltry refund of a few dollars for missing or broken items. It was not worth the headache and hassle to seek restitution just a few days before Christmas. It is kind of impressive how big a bellyflop that mystery box turned out to be.

@HappyRebelBox

Hi Shelby, I am so sorry you received an incomplete mystery box. We will still take care of it for you. Please contact us directly with the details. We look forward to hearing from you!

Love the earings and the key chain too. Sadly im in the same boat of never subbing to this box after the “mystery box debacle”. I wonder if HR realized how badly they screwed up and how many potential customers they lost? I was one of them…

Reply ButtonReply

Allison

Absolutely. From time-to-time, I like some of the spoilers, but then I have flashbacks of my mystery box purchase (I was double-stupid and bought two!) and my vow to never give them my hard earned money again.

Reply ButtonReply

Aarjullor

I’m another one of them. After that awful mystery box, this sub is an easy pass. I’m still bitter about that 50 bucks.

I have been happy with my subscription and like the obvious thought that is put into trying to offer an interesting box. I feel bad for those disappointed with the mystery boxes but feel that Happy Rebel is sincere in wanting to make things right if they can and to make people happy. Unlike other boxes, they at least respond to negative comments and try.

Anne

I second this! I missed out on the mystery box debacle, but I like that HR is here reading and responding to feedback from customers. I’ve seen other boxes that kind of shrug their shoulders and basically say, “tough.” THOSE are the boxes where people bail and lose potential new customers. This is my first HR box and I’m looking forward to it.

@HappyRebelBox

Thanks so much, Anne! I hope you really enjoy your first box 🙂

Karen

I hear you. I think if they truly wanted to make things right, they might consider sending an apology gift to everyone who received one of the supremely rotten and grossly overpriced mystery boxes. There is no way they aren’t fully aware of just how enormously dissatisfied nearly every mystery box customer was and how many of us have vowed to never sub to happy rebel because of it.

Reply ButtonReply

Ellen

Very tempted. Would be subscribing if not the horrible experience with last mystery box. Actually just one click away from subscribing to their Winter box, but then got the mystery box, and they have lost a customer, like, forever…

Reply ButtonReply

@HappyRebelBox

Hi Ellen! Please email us directly about your experience. We would love the opportunity to address your concerns. We hope to hear from you!

Michelle

I emailed you about the ridiculous “mystery” bundle that I received. You never responded and I am an annual member. Well… until my membership expires in June and I will NOT renew.

JA

I sent an email but I doubt it really matters. You got your $50 and I got matches, magnets, and blank thank you cards. Embarrassing.

Christy

I wish they would have a HR sale every once in a while. I’ve never bought a box, but I might pull the trigger if I could get one slightly less expensive to Judge quality for myself. After hearing so much negativity about HR after the mystery boxes, I’m gun shy about this box. I was all set to subscribe.

Jennifer

I was really worried about my winter box, the first box I’ve gotten from HR, after seeing the mystery box disaster take place. However, I was really pleased with my box and the quality of the products. It helps that it was a “relaxation/self-care” type box and I’m a huge skin-care junkie who takes bubble baths regularly (I’m a social worker and we are all about our self-care, lol). The toner, mask, and charcoal soap (especially the soap), are amazing and I’ve almost used them all up at this point. All the other items were awesome too, but I’m now a huge soprano labs fan and will be placing an order soon.
This box seems like it can be very hit or miss, on a personal level, though. I don’t think I’ll ever be an annual subscriber, as sometimes the themes just aren’t a fit for me. While my personal style is a bit more on the edgy side, my home décor is not. Unlike other boxes though, the theme actually is indicative of the products you receive. So if the theme seems like something you would enjoy, I’d encourage you to jump on board because the quality seems to always be there. If it’s not, I’d hold off. I’m holding off to see the full spoilers for this particular box. I do travel a fair amount, but I feel like I’ve already got the traveling basics covered. So I’m eager to see what this box includes.

Hi Christy! It’s true that we do not currently offer discount codes for our subscriptions. We do have a handful of mystery boxes available at this time if you would like to try out some of our items at a discounted price. Feel free to contact us directly if there are any items from past boxes in our shop that you would like to see in your mystery box. Hope to hear from you soon!

Reply ButtonReply

Christy

@HappyRebel I am never ever ever ordering one of your mystery boxes after what happened in November.

MicheleDeG

I would err on the side of caution. I felt the same way about trying this box out. I jumped at the chance to try them when they offered the mystery box. It was a big disappointment and a waste of $50. I did not get one thing on my wish list either. I’m still miffed about it.

@HappyRebelBox

Hi Michelle! We would have loved to have been able to fulfill every request of our Black Friday mystery box customers, but sadly not all of the items from our past collections were available to restock. Please feel free to email us directly if there is anything we can still do for you. And thank you for your feedback. We will be offering mystery boxes differently in the future.

Danielle

I’ve been thinking of subscribing to this one since I saw those awesome earings. LOVE them (only if I can get them in silver though). I like the keychain…but it’s a keychain. I really don’t need the jewelry case. Unless I see another gotta-have-it spoiler I just can’t spend $100.

Reply ButtonReply

@HappyRebelBox

Hi Danielle! Just to let you know, the earrings are still available in BOTH silver and gold. Thank you for your consideration!

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa B

Interestingly, the first two spoilers are not a big hit for me (not a fan of the earrings and while the travel jewelry case is nice, I have a good one and don’t need two), but I really like the key chain. Just can’t justify $100 for a key chain, so I will have to hold out for more spoilers and hope it’s not too late.

Reply ButtonReply

MMP

If you just want the key ring, you can buy it directly from the brand ($6). Or in the happy rebel online shop ($8).

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa B

Thanks for the heads up!!!

Sam

Actually I already checked. When I added it to my cart on the brand website they add $7.95 in shipping cost, but Happy Rebel doesn’t add additional shipping charges, so I got one from the Happy Rebel “shop”. I am already getting the box but I wanted an extra one of these for my sister!

Shannon

Aside from one controversial box that included two very unfortunate hero items, these lifestyle subs have really upped their games this year. This looks to be a great box so far.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

What were the items?

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

It wasn’t this company. And I’m afraid to say which it was because so many people had strong feelings one way or the other, it started wars. I didn’t care for that one, but these other lifestyle subs have been fantastic this year, in my opinion.

Laura

Too much gold so far. I chose the silver earrings (I would have preferred hematite), but the other two spoilers are also gold. Where is the gunmetal/hematite/silver!?

Reply ButtonReply

Deli

I wasn’t expecting a keyring but the lightening bolt design looks cool and minimal so I am on board. Can’t wait for full spoilers.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I was not expecting a key ring (like at all), so I’m not really sure what to think. Still excited about the box and hope the rest of the box kick a$$.

Boxes are shipping on the 21st, right? Then like 2 days later (thank you Priority Mail shipping) we’ll know the rest. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

amber

I love the key ring! I would love to get one from someone who doesn’t want theirs. I hate putting keys on, and the shape is pretty cool.

Reply ButtonReply

Anne

You’re welcome to mine. It looks cool but I try to keep my keychain pretty minimal and won’t make use of it. I tried linking my swap profile but not sure I did it correctly.

Anne

Yeah, not super excited about a key ring. Especially since it looks big… Signed up for the earrings though and hoping the rest of the items are great!

Reply ButtonReply

@HappyRebelBox

Hi Anne! The key ring measures approximately 3.9″ x 2.3″. I hope this helps 🙂

Sam

Ooh this is a fun little item. I am super excited for this box!
