God! You want what for $21 a month? I am literally laughing my a$$ off right now. The expectations for $21 a month is crazy and unacceptable. You guys want something so bad, go buy it. This box isn’t a collection builder. It’s a try it or dobt try it box. I remember when this box first came out, nobody complained and demanded 200 worth of stuff for $21. I think its insane that people use this box as a makeup needs and wants box. Get it together.

I agree. I’m happy to get at least one item I love which is usually more than the cost of the box. People too ridiculous. There are fantastic months and some that aren’t too great. Roll with the punches. If you don’t like it unsubscribe

I agree ..it’s crazy !!! Every single beauty subscription so many people do nothing but complain. If you want to hand pick your beauty items then subscription boxes aren’t for you. So many comments complain of receiving mascara ,blush, eyeliner etc. There’s only so many actual beauty items to try. The point is to try new brands & variations ,or sometimes receive more of your favorites. If you have to many of the basics and have no need for anymore just cancel your subscription instead of complaining. These beauty subscription boxes really are amazing deals !! Even if a particular color isn’t for me , I enjoy trying the product … if I love it enough I’ll buy it.

I agree, I’m absolutely amazed at how some people act over a $21 Box.!!! I’m always happy with what I get for $21 a month from them.! I may not like everything but know I got my dollars worth and then some. I’m thinking, if you don’t like what they send, then go spend your $21 somewhere else.. I literally laugh at 3/4 of these comments on here.! So many people who think their so entitled… ugh smh

Kim

I think some of us get pissed when half get decent stuff like the ofra palette and 1 of the lip scrubs and the rest get bellepierre crap and neither scrub. I hope boxy charm learned by error to not have 5 different variants. If u dnt hv enough product then close the sign up down and handle the clients u do hv or at least give a product thats similiar in quality or kind of product. But i do agree with u that theres alot of complaining when it comes to color esp.with lip products ur getting the box to try new things colors included.

Rachel

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 THANK YOU! I’m seeing nothing but complaining and entitlement mentalities. Shameful! I may not like every item that I get, but you’ll never hear me complaining about getting things. I absolutely LOVE Boxycharm. And I love the concept and I’m grateful for being able to only pay $21/month to have the chance to try some high-end brands that I normally wouldn’t ever be able to purchase.

I love my Boxycharm box also. I can’t wait for it to get here every month and then I get so excited when I find out it’s here . I run to my mailbox. I did get two other boxes and canceled them for this one and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The only one thing that I get a little piterbed at is that it sometimes seems like people get different boxes. For example last month the highlighter palette and I saw it and really don’t understand how or why some get it and others don’t or the concealer palette and I missed that one also but then you find tons of Boxycharm trades ect. but I miss those also. But I would never give it up…I love my Boxycharm reguardless . I don’t see these complaints that you are all talking about but I sure agree…some nerve!!

Lucy

I’m not sure if everybody think before posting a coment on this website. Some demands and complaints are unreal. I have been LOL too!

Yes, thank you! Folks are unreal…

totally agree, i would like mire skincare.

I’m down with tool cleaners, and tools but I hope they keep it makeup. I sub to boxy for makeup and have other subs for skincare. I was realizing most of my 15 subs send a lot of skin care and I perfer makeup, and I don’t mind some good indie brands, but name brands always rock because you kinda know what to expect and know you can trust them, more then some other subs that send random cheaper makeup samples from China and such.

So please boxy!! Keep to the makeup, I love you for it

Reply ButtonReply

Candace

Agreed! I get this for makeup. If I wanted skincare with some makeup thrown in I would have gone with Glossybox or Allure.

I like boxy the way it is. I feel like it’s more inclusive this way. Skin and hair care arent as “one size fits many” as makeup is. At least with makeup generally everyone can try the formula, even if they arent thrilled with the color. It doesn’t always work that way with skin or hair items. Everybody’s skin is different and textured and/or curly hair requires different products which likely wouldn’t be included since boxy aims to please the vast majority. Realistically they can’t please everybody but at the same time people subbing this box for makeup don’t deserve to get stuck with items they may not even be able to use. It’s probably best for them to leave it out.
Boxycharm does makeup well. It would probably be a bad idea to change what they’re doing as they would probably lose business and would definatly be bombarded with complaints if they did change up the boxes. People are going to complain no matter what but at least this way they can please the vast majority.

Kim

Thats why they need to concentrate on getting the quiz working so that they can customize somewhat.

McKenzie

I am ready to start getting actual lipsticks in a tube! I am SO tired of liquid to matte lipsticks! I also would love to start seeing more skincare! I would even be ok with body products like sunscreens, body oils, perfumes etc. Also translucent powder would be really nice! They send so many brushes (which I love) but it would be awesome if they sent us brush cleaning soap or tools along with it! I would love to get some Stilla magnificent metals too!! I am just really tired of blushes, bronzers eyeliners and mascaras. I love highlighter and I will never complain about getting one lol

Reply ButtonReply

annalily5

I would love tub lipstick or glosses (hopefully with summer coming up we’ll see some?). And more tools would be amazing. I’d love an eyelash curler or something like that. Same with cleaning products.

Reply ButtonReply

Tina

Agreed! Skincare would be great. I would love to see lip balms or lip gloss in addition to lipstick.

Reply ButtonReply

Tanya

Excellent suggestion. I have a bit left from a BF box but brush cleaner great box goodie. I hear you on highlighter .. last year never heard of and this year I even purchased some not given in boxes!!!) but my fav is Becca from Boxy.

Reply ButtonReply

Emma

Wow. Everyone sounds so uppity and entitled lately since sub boxes happened. Be grateful you get to try brands you wouldn’t have been able to spend on or try otherwise. Consumerism has ruined so many people now days.

Reply ButtonReply

Tanya

Repurchased the Mac brow pencil, bought the Coverfx matte setting spray, Becca highlighter is bomb (once I realized the top screwed off) and I was onto the Colourpop lippies before I got Boxy.. plus love their highlighter. Got first box right after you guys got that Tarte palette but glad Allure sent out a deluxe tarte mascara. I’m in for a year .. that will be enough for me. Boxy, BF, Allure and on wait list for Ricky’s Cult, and a one time POP SUGAR quarterly (gotta try one) and I am hoping to sit down from subbing.. Yeah, I know i said that before. lol

Reply ButtonReply

justmissjamey

Hahaha, I bought the Mac eye pencial as well. That is the BEST thing I’ve ever tried for my eyebrows, and also the cover fx spray I bought too, as well as the no more pores primer I believe from here too. I love this sub because we get makeup and tools. I’ve not found many “holy grail ” items in my 15 ish sub boxes, but boxy I’ve found quite a few.

Reply ButtonReply

Jb

Since some of us got an (almost) empty Ofra z-palette last month, I’d love it if we got some high end single eyeshadows to put in it. I’d love to see toner, eye cream, non-liquid lipstick, color eyeliners. Please no more highlighters or things to make me “glow.”

Reply ButtonReply

Cookie

I agree with what you have said.

Reply ButtonReply

Moonjock1

I have been with boxy consistently for what will be 2 years this summer. What I want to see LESS of (not none of, just less of):

Highlighters: please, I very rarely use them and I have SO MANY

Eyeshadows: I know everyone loves pallettes, I do too! But I have WAY too many. Like I could never buy eyeshadow again and be fine if eyeshadow didn’t eventually expire.

Blush: No more, too much blush!

Eyeshadow brushes: I know, again, I love them, but I have dozens and dozens and I only really use a few of my favorites.

What I want to see:

Wax kits, high end facial serums, mattifying setting sprays, that cover fx one was a straight up glitter bomb, high end mascara, eye liner that isn’t black! Give me a nice chocolate brown or a plum! Translucent setting powder, oil cleansers, some great eye or face sheet masks, beauty blenders, toners, hydrating facial sprays, hair serums, good body cream like sol de janeiro.

Reply ButtonReply

Tina

Agreed 100%!

Reply ButtonReply

Geena

Yeah, after a year on Boxy (and my own shopping habits, no lie) I’m just to the point of having to switch subs due to Boxy’s focus. It doesn’t mean it’s not a great subscription – it’s just not for me anymore. I’ll still buy items here and there from box subscribers though because they send out good stuff even though I next to never would want the whole box these days.

Reply ButtonReply

june

Totally agree! There are so many more makeup-related products we could be trying, just mix them in with all those gorgeous color products! Also, how about some hand and nail products — hand cream or oil, or seasonal polish colors. How about some kl polish??

Reply ButtonReply

Moonjock1

Omg I want KL polish so bad! I’m pretty shocked we haven’t gotten any yet!

Kathie

It sounds like you need a different box to subscribe to. You should pick a box that focuses on skincare if you have too much makeup. I cancelled Boxy after two years and switched to more skincare boxes. I have way too much makeup now.

Reply ButtonReply

justmissjamey

I agree with you!!! I’d be so upset if boxy started doing hair and skincare every month or masks. I get those from other subs and use boxy for strictly makeup. There are so many sub boxes out here, and none that has just makeup and the quality of makeup/brands they send. Like they sent the one face exfoilator, I don’t mind just one a year, espically full sized, but I don’t want hair and skin stuff every month.

Moonjock1

Kathie, what subs do you have now?

Luna

Ya, it would be great if they started to include at least one product each month that was meant to either prep your skin for makeup (like a face/eye primer, moisturizer/primer, or even a priming sheet mask (I’ve seen those before!), set the makeup like a setting powder or mist, or a first cleansing product to remove the makeup like wipes, micellar water, cleansing oil, cleansing balm, or eye makeup remover… or even a makeup removing mitt/cloth. Including just one of these each month would still keep the focus on makeup, and prevent people from feeling bombarded by product overload on these types of products.

Reply ButtonReply

Moonjock1

Yes to what everyone said!! Make it more inclusive of the pre and post makeup application!

kim

I would definitely love if they mixed more skin care in! I do love brushes and eyeshadow of course but it’s starting to get out of control – I loved when we got the dr jart exfoliator would love more things like that or some masks mixed in!

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

I agree with you.

I am hoping for hair products as well. It would be great to see a shampoo and conditioner. A hair mask. A makeup case. Just to put all the makeup in.

Even though the sub is nicely priced, i cant justify spending even $21 if i am getting the same products i wont use month after month

I got 2 emails already from them about how there is no waitlist. Probably because the boxes have been boring with the same types of products month after month.

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

Totally agree!!

Reply ButtonReply

Juliya

Very excited about all mentioned brands. ColourPop super shock highlighters are the best.

Reply ButtonReply

Mel

I’m not jazzed about ColourPop. I received a brow pencil that broke almost immediately, and the eyeliner was so hard to put on, I trashed it. Same with Make Up Forever — their pencils suck. Perhaps CP will redeem the brand with something good. Otherwise, all future items will be swapped.

Reply ButtonReply

Snowhitetwin

No brand surprises here. Boring…

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

Mac doesn’t excite me as much as it excites others. But I’m super thrilled about all of it! It’s nice getting full sized items, and highend ones at that, for only $21/month. I’m honestly most excited for Colourpop. I know others will disagree with me, and that’s okay. But I find colourpop to be one of the BEST brands I’ve tried. I haven’t come across any of their products that I’m not in love with or obsessed with. The quality is AMAZING, and their price is out of this world. Seriously so excited to see Colourpop on that list!

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

I agree. I’ve had a lot of success with ColourPop. So much so, I order the products from Sephora regularly. And they have interesting new makeup and skincare items that I don’t see from other cosmetics companies.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

Yea, I absolutely love Colourpop. I’m borderline obsessed. Ha! I find so much success with their eyeshadows. They’re super pigmented and blend so easily for me. I have other brands, and I have to be honest, I find Colourpop palettes to be so much better than my Morphe palettes including the Jaclyn Hill palette. And they’re 1/4-1/2 of the price! Their lipsticks, lippies and lip colors are amazing. So many color choices and they stay on all day. And again, the price is amazing.
All of these complaints are shameful. Be grateful for $21/month you’re getting 5-6 high-end, full sized makeup items. Oh well. I’m estatic! Haha

Rhiannon

Super excited about more MAC, since it’s my favorite brand!! Would love to see some of their best sellers, as opposed to something obscure, like a brow pencil. The lip primer or a highlighter would be AMAZING!!! 😀

Rhenn Rainbow

Cover FX – meh.
Color Pop 🙁
Tarte – yay!
MAC – PLEASE give us a palette!! <3

I Love BoxyCharm, But lately it’s getting monotonous with the same brand names ~ needs to add new brands to try…. and I am kind of over the glitter shadows and shimmering highlights ~ I feel the boxes are more for the young ~ I do think there are a number of older women ( like me 49) that have this subscription and I honestly think that shimmers and glitter emphasizes Wrinkle (pls don’t hate , just my opinion) by no means am I a Makeup artist , I have no idea how to apply makeup normally and rarely wear makeup ~ just a normal wife/mother fighting Leiomyosarcoma Cancer and making the best of my wonderful life with my family and Furbabies. Thank you💜

Reply ButtonReply

lmhilly

same brands as last year……..kind of over the shimmery eyeshadows too!

Reply ButtonReply

Steph

Agreed. None of these are a surprise. Same old same old!!

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

These are standard brands they have already been featuring. When I see Huda, Anastasia, Kat Von D and Too faced then that will be something to get pumped over!

Reply ButtonReply

Bonnie

Huda and Too Faced are frequently in the UK high-end subs, along with Mac and Nars. Subs like CC Beauty, Cohorted, and Look Incredible Deluxe.

Also, Tribe just had a Huda product.

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

And Urban Decay. But yeah, I don’t believe we’ll see much Kat Von D outside of PLAY.

Reply ButtonReply

Tara

Would love a Kat Von D product

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Would love Huda, Anastasia, Kat Von D ! Fenty too.

Reply ButtonReply

Jess

I doubt we will ever see any Kendo beauty brands in these boxes like Kat Von D and Fenty. Those are pretty exclusive to Sephora and they have their own box so they hold those as exclusives.

Lucy

Amem. And please, lets keep the shimmers to a minimum!

Reply ButtonReply

Irene

overall boxy never disappoints you definetlh get your moneys worth from 1 item no complaints here get rid of colour pop and get some new brands I’m good

Reply ButtonReply

Irene

Exactly last year there was Becca also I don’t like colour pop and yes different brands like Too Faced Bobbi Brown Make up Forever ABH Huda Fenty would be nice and maybe lip kits Foundation I place of eyeshadow once in a while

Reply ButtonReply

Regina

Agreed!

Reply ButtonReply

Nikki

I was with them for like a year and a half and unsubscribed last fall. Well I’m back lol cancelling beautyfix I guess. They have been annoying me lately

Reply ButtonReply

Yan

I want to re-subscribe to boxycharm but i don’t want to receive this month’s box, any advice?

Reply ButtonReply

Angela Mintz

I cancelled my subscription this month because I didn’t like what was in the box. I wish boxy would start something so we could skip a month if we don’t want the box. I hoping not to be on a wait list for April.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel R.

I’d wait until March 31st after 7pm. You should still be fine with no waitlist, but get April’s box. Good luck!

Reply ButtonReply

MzBev

Then wait until April 1st to subscribe and pray the waitlist is still lifted.

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

Me too

Reply ButtonReply

Cornflake

I’m very heavily against ColourPop. I don’t know what they’re putting in their products that no one else is, but I’m extremely allergic to their eyeshadows, and haven’t encountered any issues with other brands of cosmetics, fragrances, or other beauty products, and I’ve tried many. It just makes me suspicious about what chemicals they’re using. I’m ready for these subscription box companies to stop including them, but they’re so cheap, I doubt that will happen any time soon.

Reply ButtonReply

nichole

there is qa very good skin line subscription …..comes out every month…it is called
Beauty Heros…maybe that subscrition would eh better for you

Reply ButtonReply

MinnePuffin

Me too! It’s such a bummer too. I loved the color I got, but I just can’t wear it. My eyelids got red and itchy. It felt like flecks of something scratching my skin. I’ve never had a problem with any other eyeshadow, just that one. Even with primer under it, I had a reaction.

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

I LOVE ColourPop!! They’re eyeshadows are gorgeous, and they blend so well. They’re super affordable, I LOVE them! Everyone is different and maybe they use a certain ingredient in their products that you’re allergic to. I had a horrible allergic reaction to a Smith & Cult lipgloss, so I steer clear of the whole brand; but apparently no one else has, it’s just me.

Reply ButtonReply

Cornflake

but I’m loving that PUR palette! The colors look like I could make quite a few good combinations…

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

That could mean a pencil sharpener, more black mascara or eyeliner, or a full size palette, great brushes… but there will definitely be more highlighters to come in 2018!

Reply ButtonReply

Elle

*Yawn* How many months do we have left in 2018? LOL – these brands would have to reappear during more than one month to live up to the hype.

Boxy hasn’t been the same since the Limited Edition box fiasco.

Reply ButtonReply

Caligirl

Agreed !! They are alright but not mind blowing…

Reply ButtonReply
