Clarins Instant Light Comfort Lip Oil Clarins Instant Light Comfort Lip Oil, opened

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Candy, 0.09 oz. - Listed Retail Value $10.40 (Buy 0.1 oz. bottle for $26)

I was pleased to receive this since I saw that Jessica had it listed as her February favorite (from another box). This is a pretty unique product since it's a moisturizing oil, yet has subtle color as well. However, I personally would say it's more like a lip gloss due to its consistency. It's not particularly sticky, but like a gloss, my hair would def stick to it on a windy day and I normally shy away. The pale pink shade is nice though and it smells very much like candy. Since I'm not a fan of the way it feels, I just leave it on for a while and then take it off and it still helps keep my lips really soft and prep them for a matte lipstick.

Love and Toast Honey Nectar Body Wash directions for Love and Toast Honey Nectar Body Wash

Love & Toast Body Wash in Honey Nectar, 8.2 oz. - Retail Value $8.49

This body wash wasn't listed in the info booklet, so I'm going to assume it's a replacement for the Maybelline Eyeshadow palette that was listed, but not included. It smells really nice and is made without a bunch of harsh ingredients that you don't want in something you use all over your body. My skin felt clean and soft afterward.

Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick, opened

Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in Lover - Retail Value $9.49 (found here for $7.89)

This was another item not listed, but Sazan mentions sending a "surprise item from a past box", so this may be it because I received this same lipstick but in a different color in the December Bless Box. As I mentioned then, they are NOT kidding about this being SUPERstay. You better like this color because it is not. coming. off. I again wore this all day, through eating a quesadilla (as one tends to do), drinking a margarita, and generally living my life. This color seemed to start to get a little dry and gross though after all that time, so I would suggest reapplying just to keep it from feeling cakey. The color though? It will never actually leave you. Swatches are at the bottom of the review.

Ella and Mila Berry Much in Love Nail Polish Ella and Mila Berry Much in Love Nail Polish, opened Ella and Mila Berry Much in Love Nail Polish on model

Ella + Mila Nail Polish in Berry Much in Love - Retail Value $10.50

I recently got rid of ALL of my nail color (which was a lot) because I rarely paint my own nails anymore. Since having acrylics, I always wait until I need a fill to get a color change. I do love this color though and it matches the Superstay Lipstick really well. This is a nice deep dark mauve/berry color and two coats were super solid. I didn't even bother to use a top coat and it didn't chip for the week I had it on.

They've included a code for 20% off as well.

HUM Nutrition Raw Beauty Super Food packet back of HUM Nutrition Raw Beauty Super Food packet

HUM Nutrition Raw Beauty Green Superfood Powder in Tahitian Vanilla and Berry, 0.28 oz packet - Buy an 8.5 oz container for $39.00

I don't usually mess with powder supplements, but they've sent a sample packet of the HUM Nutrition Raw Beauty Superfood that is meant to help boost your metabolism and make your skin radiant. My metabolism isn't what it used to be, but I am lucky to be blessed with naturally great skin. This is recommended to add to a smoothie, so I may keep it around until my next Home Chef arrives (with said smoothies). The photo in the booklet shows 2 packets, but I only received one so I'm unsure how they arrived at the $5.00 listed for this.

Pur-Lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 eye adore serum back of Pur-Lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 eye adore serum

Pur-lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum, 0.24 oz -Listed Retail Value $33.00 (Buy a 0.5 oz bottle for $58.00)

Getting older can make your skin start to not look as fresh as it once did, especially around your eyes. This little tube boasts that it will help with not 1, but 4 things that will help your eyes look more amazing. It has intensive hydration, it firms, it brightens, and it decreases puffiness. My main problem is my dark under eye circles, but I could use more hydration as well. I look forward to seeing some results from this!

Maybelline Python Metallic Lip Kit back of Maybelline Python Metallic Lip Kit Maybelline Python Metallic Lip Kit compact open Maybelline Python Metallic Lip Kit compact

Maybelline Python Metallic Lip Kit in Passionate - Retail Value $9.99 (Buy it here for $7.99)

Ooh, a lip kit you say. This little compact has two different colors for your lips to use together to give them a metallic look that adds depth. The first one is a deep saturated red cream that I rather like on its own. The next one is a metallic red powder that you dab over top with your fingertip to achieve a more enhanced look.

Maybelline Python Metallic Lip Kit on model

It's honestly kind of hard to see on my lips here, and I had a bit of trouble applying it properly without the help of an applicator. Next time, I'll have to grab a lip brush to help! Check out the swatches on my arm below to see it up close.

makeup swatches

Here are swatches for each of the two lip kit colors, then the two together. Next is the lip oil, then the superstay lipstick.

True Lemon in Raspberry Lemonade 5 packets of True Lemon in Raspberry Lemonade nutritional info for True Lemon in Raspberry Lemonade

True Lemon in Raspberry Lemonade, Pack of 5 - Buy a pack of 10 for $1.99

Ugh- I want to like little "on-the-go" flavor packets like this but they almost always have sugar substitutes in them, which I can't handle. This tasted good for a few seconds while drinking it, but then the Stevia aftertaste ruined it for me. I just can't do it! I'll note that the listed price for this one is waaaaay off.

info for true lemon

They sent a coupon as well.

NuFace Prep n glow cloths sample back of NuFace Prep n glow cloths sample

NuFace Prep-N-Glow Cloths, 1 Cloth - Retail Value $2.00 (Buy a pack of 5 for $10.00)

I'll be honest, at night I rarely do a full routine like I do in the morning to cleanse and fully moisturize my face. I normally just use makeup wipes (if anything) before my head hits the pillow. This is great for travel, or when you're feeling lazy so you can make sure you're cleansing without going all out.

Melinda Maria Jewelry Pouch Melinda Maria Rose Gold Amari Mini Necklace close up of Melinda Maria Rose Gold Amari Mini Necklace

Melinda Maria Rose Gold Amari Mini Necklace on model

Melinda Maria Amari Mini Necklace in Rose Gold - Retail Value $48.00 (Gold color linked in name)

I actually like this little necklace! It's simple and delicate so it can be worn with a camisole or even over a chunky sweater. I also quite like the rose gold color (which sadly isn't available on their site). The chain is a perfect length that isn't too short but not incredibly long. I can wear this alone or layer it if I want more going on.

That Rosy Feeling Print back of That Rosy Feeling Print

That Rosy Feeling Print - Listed Retail Value $10.00

Another print. Personally, unless it's by an actual artist that I like, I'm never going to put a small glossy print like this up anywhere. They list the value as $10.00, but I'm not really seeing that price in this. Just seems like filler to me.

Verdict: For $37.49 after shipping, Bless Box sent me 11 items with a retail value they say has a total of over $150.00, but the values here are kind of all over the place. Overall, it has a great value seeing as though the necklace alone more than pays for the box, but it just seems like a reoccurring thing for the listed values of this box to be inflated. That being said, I liked the beauty products, and the necklace, so this box is still worth it for me.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but subscribe before the 17th to receive March.

Bless Box ships once per month, usually between the 19th and 22nd. If you subscribed on or before the 17th, you will receive a box that month. If you subscribed after the 17th, your first box will ship the following month unless otherwise stated.

Value Breakdown: At $37.49 for this box, you're only paying $3.40 per item.

This box is a scam..

OK, so my comment of 3 hours ago did not post– will try again.
This was the last box in my sub. I have received a years worth of these boxes. Some had really nice items (not including some of the truly awful “snack bars”) but there were many repeats– this Feb Box had at least 4 repeat items for me. The ascribed valuation on many of the items is just crazy– who in their right mind would pay $10 for that so-called “print”? For that amount it should at least be framed. They value the Clarins Lip Oil at $10.40 but my packaging had Sample- Not For Sale in small letters. Their CS is great but the curation is just all over the place. I notice that they have been offering a lot of deals and they have already sent me a discount to come back for the March Box.

My one and only experience with this company was their past box mystery promotion and I was more than disappointing. I received August 2017 and it wasn’t close to being worth the discounted price (free shipping), I couldn’t imagine paying full price plus shipping. Now for this box I can say I am happy they didn’t include a nasty bag of chip or some other snack that most people don’t care for. There are too many lip products in this box. The body wash I find interesting, but it’s not part of the box so I am sure most people didn’t receive it.

I would like to see them revamp these boxes. I think it has potential but currently not worth the price.

Agreed, I think they overinflate the prices of items in the box, such as the $10 card, Hum packet (I think all subscribers received 1), and lemon samples. I signed up to get the necklace and I really like the Clarins oil, but most of my box was just paper filler. I would have preferred the body wash- I received a duplicate palette, which honestly is just left over from a previous fall box where they included 5 palettes in one box. And my bonus was a paper pad (instead of the lip color) which is neat, but also from a previous box. To me, it’s not worth the price plus shipping of $38 to get repeats and overinflated items unless you really like the spoiler- such as the necklace. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree with basically all of this. For the $19 or so I spent with the first-time discount I’m happy. I love the lip oil and the necklace, and the Nuface cloth will be useful. But I was surprised when most of the box was just filled with that paper stuff. And I would’ve preferred the body wash as well.

I cancelled soon after getting the box. Maybe I’ll try again one day, but the regular cost doesn’t seem worth it unless you really like the spoilers that come out.

Nicole

I cancelled too after this box. It would be worth it to me if the price was lower such as $20-30.

Snowhitetwin

Seems like they should spend less on the fancy booklet and more on the products themselves. Three lip products is overkill and there is nothing that sets this subscription apart from all the others.

The necklace was one of the spoilers.

Edgy.
Chic.
18k gold.

I guess adding Plated. would have ruined it lol

I bought a months worth of this sub, and it was a really odd mix of things as well. I gave the majority of it to my daughter, nothing was memorable.

This was my last box after one year of subbing. Throughout the year I have received some useful items (although the “edible” bars were almost always losers for me). They have sent out many duplicate items– this box alone has at least 4 that were in previous boxes. The ascribed values do make me crazy– to value that “print” at $10 is lunacy– for that price it should at least be framed. I don’t understand why they give a $10.40 value to the Clarins– on its packaging it states that it is a Sample- Not for resale. They do seem to be offering a lot of discounts lately if someone wanted to try it out.

I really want to try this box BUT would have wanted the palette and not that body wash. Three lip products??? Happy you mentioned that the lip oil is more “gloss” than oil because I hate that feeling when my hair gets stuck in it. I do like the necklace and polish but the “prints” are pretty much useless to me. Will wait and see what future months hold. Great review Marne, you covered all the products really well.

Dollar store make up fillers…or supermarket brands (that constantly go on sale BOGO or have manufacturers coupons). Highlight MAYBE is chevron necklace…but it too looked low value to me.
Etsy has some cuter styles, most are 14k or higher plated starting at $14. Just search “chevron necklace”

I swear this box exists so this blogger can have more photo shoots…I always feel conned by the blatant exaggeration of RVs and the salesmanship behind Makeup products for tweens.

The hero for me is the NuFace Prep and Go. I LOVE the device and the products I’ve tried are high quality. I have become religious about my routine like the results!

Dani

I am always perplexed by this box. Three lip products?? So odd.

Reply ButtonReply

Ash

Same. The curation is so weird, and I think the value is extremely inflated. Shady for sure.

Reply ButtonReply

Janet

I don’t think it’s shady at all. The items I like, the necklace, lip oil, hum, body wash, eye serum, and nail polish are over the price of the box, making it well worth it for me. I always, no matter the sub, find stuff that’s not for me. That doesn’t make them shady. It just means we are all different.

Janet

Well, I’m happy with the necklace, it’s really nice, the body wash, eye cream, nail polish, the lip oil and the hum sample. Those items alone are well worth the cost of the box. No complaints here. I look at what I like and use, and how much they are of value to me, and this box was a winner with that perspective.
