Switch is a jewelry rental service that lets you try out designer jewelry without the commitment. You pick your favorite pieces and try them out for as long as you want with a monthly fee. This is a review of the 3 pieces at a time plan.
Switch also offers the option to purchase jewelry pieces at a discounted member price.
Switch will always use USPS First Class mail to send your jewelry unless it weighs more than 1 pound. Each package comes with a prepaid USPS return label so you can leave your return for your mail carrier or drop it off at the post office if you're the nervous type.

Switch January 2018 Review Featuring Marni, Rebecca De Ravenel, and Chloe
The order is topped with a bunch of different info cards about how to refer friends and how the subscription works.
Every piece comes packaged inside a cute black drawstring bag. One large earring set I ordered ended up being split between two bags just to be extra safe (with one earring in each bag).
Chloe Loop Cuff - Retail Value $400.00, Cost to Keep $300.00
I love the simplicity of this piece. It almost looks like the shape of the end of a safety pin. The bright, yellowy metal is smooth and shiny and slid comfortably over my wrist. The bracelet has a circumference of about 6.75", so it's not huge on my wrist (which means it doesn't slide around a ton—something I appreciate). It's a little playful, a little sophisticated, and very me.
Rebecca de Ravenel Classic Silk Corded Clip Earrings in Yellow - Retail Value $295.00, Cost to Keep $265.00
I've been thinking about buying a pair of ball-shaped, dangly earrings like these after seeing them on a zillion Instagram peeps. I figured with this order, I'd try this style on for size before I bit the bullet on an actual purchase. The verdict? I love these earrings! I feel like the goldenrod hue is really fun and flattering on me. Plus it feels like a pop of sunshine. It's been a long, long time since I've worn clip-on earrings, and frankly, I was surprised to see clip-ons as an option on Switch. (For some reason, I thought clip-ons were the stuff of 80s costume jewelry sets—how wrong I was!) I don't think I could wear these for a whole day without my lobes getting achy, nor do I think I could wear them out dancing (where they might swing off). But for a fun birthday brunch or a wine night with my gal pals, they'd be perfect!
Marni Ivory and Brown Hoop Clip-On Earrings - Retail Value $300.00, Cost to Keep $265.00
This second pair of clip-ons immediately stole my heart. They're super minimalist in their color palette and shape, but the wood gives them an organic flair and texture. I love how graphic they are—they're kind of mod, but fresh and very now at the same time. Because they're clip-ons, they have the same limitations as the last pair (probably can't bop around to hard in them, nor can I expect to wear them for long hours at a time without them getting uncomfortable). But I'm so excited to try them in a bunch of different outfits and show 'em off to my stylish pals!
The Verdict: I loved my picks for this month! They were all so fun and funky. I've started to notice some new faces in the Switch catalog, too—it feels like there's something new to choose from every month. No way I would be able to afford to own all of these trendy pieces, let alone have enough special occasions in my schedule to justify wearing them more than once or twice. So I love that I can rent them for a fraction of the cost and swap 'em out with something new when I'm ready.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Once I return these pieces, they'll be available again, but pieces can get snatched up quick! You can, however, always sign up and shop the oodles of other earrings, necklaces, and bracelets they offer!
Value Breakdown: These three pieces cost $69.00 to rent, which is a great deal if it works for your budget and needs. It's is pricier than Rocksbox (which offers mid-range designer jewelry) but less than Rent the Runway (which offers designer jewelry, accessories, and clothes, too). To rent just one piece per month is $29.00, so you're saving about $6.00 per piece. To buy them at retail, the items I got would cost $995.00 in total.
Also, the member price for all of the pieces is $830.00 in total. But remember, you get $10.00 off because you're a member! So that's $820.00 to buy everything.
