Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box Review – February 2018

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Look Incredible in a UK beauty box subscription that sends you 5 full-sized beauty products each month.

FYI – although they sound very similar, this is a completely different subscription than the UK beauty box Look Fantastic.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The box has an attached flip lid, with a ribbon and heart on the top of the lid – very fancy!

There three different tiers of the beauty box: Standard, £25, Deluxe, £35 and My Secret Box, £65 (The Deluxe box is monthly, the other two options are bimonthly.)

This review is of the Deluxe box.

The Subscription Box: Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box

The Cost: £35 (There are other subscription options, too.Standard, £25, My Secret Box, £65. The Deluxe box is monthly, the other two options are bimonthly.)

Now, on to the items!

Meet Matt(e) Hughes in Dedicated – Retail Value $17

This is a highly pigmented, liquid lipstick with a matte finish. The staying power is impressive and it smells like Thin Mints!

The Dedicated shade is a rich berry color. (Swatched in lower photo.)

Cargo Getaway Eye Shadow Palette – Retail Value $34

This palette has a combination of 7 shimmer and 5 matte shades.

It comes with a dual-ended eyeshadow brush, too.

In general, I’m always pleased with CARGO palettes. The pigment is good throughout, and the shades are easy to blend, too.

Here they are swatched beneath the liquid lip:

UTAN & Tone Firming Coffee Scrub – Retail Value $20.40

This coffee scrub is designed to help remove tan residue and exfoliate skin for an even tan application. (I’m pretty sure all body scrubs can accomplish this – but this one is marketed specifically to address self tanning issues.)

It’s a dry scrub, and while there are some oils in the ingredients, it didn’t leave any moisture on my skin. (I know that’s a plus for some, but I like a scrub with at least a little hydration!)

In general, this coffee scrub was effective but didn’t really stand out from any of the other coffee scrubs I’ve sampled.

Shiseido Perfect Mascara Full Definition – Retail Value $24

This mascara formula was good for lash definition, but pretty light in terms of volume and length. I’ll use it on days when I just want to accent my eyes a bit and keep a natural look, but it’s not something I’ll purchase. (I like VOLUME when it comes to mascara!)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $95.40. With shipping, it cost me about $59.58. I’m pretty happy with that value considering this is a box from overseas. The items were a mixed bag for me though – I love the liquid lip and the palette, but the scrub and the mascara? Not so much.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of today, 2/20, your first box will be the February box. Make sure to check the sign up page to see which box is listed.

Coupon – No coupons at this time.

Value Breakdown: At $59.58 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • theBalm: $10.62
  • CARGO: $21.23
  • UTAN & Tone: $12.74
  • Shiseido: $14.99

  1. Not worth it. Customer service is actually horrible lost My box in the mail when I email them they say they are checking into it. I then have to email them to see what’s going on 4 days later and they still have no clue. I ask them if I can get a refund or sent another box being its 75$ in Canada they said they would get back to me that was two weeks ago lol

  2. Every one of these items are at Marshalls except for the Shiseido.

  3. I’ll admit that I can be pretty dense when it comes to makeup (I’m more of a skincare girl), so I was wondering what does it mean when a mascara is “good for lash definition, but pretty light in terms of volume and length”? I’m just curious what “lash definition” means. haha

Btw, I just got my shipping notifications today for both this box & the my secret box, and I can’t wait to get them. I can’t recall if I ever saw what will be in the my secret box, but out of this box, I know I’ll be gifting the lip product & eyeshadow palette. I can’t wait to try that mascara & coffee scrub though.

    • I think she means lash separation, and it doesn’t clump your lashes together into spider legs. I have really long lashes naturally, so I have no idea how lengthening mascaras work, but I definitely go for ones that provide separation and volume. My favorite so far has been Bobbi Brown smokey eye mascara

    • The my secret box has a Gucci 4 color eyeshadow palette. I just signed up for it a couple days ago and also got shipping notification. So excited!

  4. I bought this box, but when I saw spoilers I immediately emailed to get it cancelled. Thank God they have great customer service and cancelled right away, I went ahead and bought the “my secret box” instead and for once I will not be swapping or gifting anything from it, I love every single item. I wish My subscription addiction would review that box as well!

  5. The link at the bottom, where page is hyperlinked (to go to the sign up page), goes to a living proof product

  6. I love those kind of coffee scrubs! The eye palette looks pretty. Not sure if I would spend that much for a monthly box.

  7. I’m really surprised at the inclusion of that Cargo Getaway palette in a box that with shipping comes to around $60 USD. It’s beautiful but it is in TJ Maxx and Marshall’s for $9.99 right now.

    • Thanks Paige! I will look for it. That’s only thing I was interested in.

      • It’s also at Costco!

    • I saw that too! (Marshall’s often has ridiculously low prices on Cargo — I always check there first when I’m looking for something). It’s too bad because I wanted to like this box, but I just don’t think it’s a good deal, as far as beauty boxes go.

    • You can find it at Macy’s backstage (their discount outlet type store generally located within the regular macys) for 5.99. It is a cheap, cheap palette.
