Kloverbox Natural Beauty Subscription Box February 2018 Review

info card for kloverbox february 2018

Here's the info card for this month's box!

we care card

There's also a card explaining their green packaging program.

pink exfoliating cream

Native Nectar Botanicals Rooibos and Pomegranate Cream Exfoliant, 1 oz. - Retail Value $27.00

My skin felt suuuuper nourished after trying this cream exfoliant! It's kind of a combination between a creamy cleanser and a gentle scrub—the earthy-sweet pink cream is dotted with itty bitty jojoba beads that provide a touch of abrasion while the natural oils add moisture and nourishment to the skin. I could see working this cream into my weekly beauty routine, especially coming out of the dry winter season (which has not been my skin's best pal).

pink lip gloss

Jaiden Madison All Natural Vegan Liquid Lipstick in Ladylike, 9 ml. - Retail Value $20.00

I love a lip gloss that I can rock every day. This warm rose hue is really subtle and natural looking on me, except for the touch of shimmer that makes me feel a bit more put together. Better yet, it feels soft, smooth, and not too sticky when it's on. At first, I was worried that not a whole lot comes out on the applicator, but you actually don't need that much. Plus, I didn't think the color built up very much, the more you put on. A little dab will do ya, as they say!

rose and lavender oil rollerball

Moody Sisters Essential Oil Scented Roller in Lavender Rose, 7 ml. - Listed Value $12.00

I saw this roller on the Moody Sisters site, but it seems to only be available as part of gift sets. I like the muted floral fragrance of this natural rollerball. Rose can be too overwhelmingly pretty for me sometimes, but the lavender aspect gives it an earthy note that I really like. The fragrance doesn't linger too long, so it's gentler than perfume. But I like the idea of using a natural fragrance and having to reapply now and then rather than using a mainstream product that's more artificially derived.

chocxo bar

pink and black chocolate bar package

dark chocolate bar

ChocXo Vegan Organic Dark Chocolate and Cacao Nibs Bar, 1.4 oz. - Retail Value $1.99

This little bar is soooo tasty! The 70% chocolate is rich and flavorful, and the little cacao nibs sprinkled throughout the bar add a bit of yummy crunch. It's one of those bars that I thought I'd break a piece off of and save the rest for later. Surprise surprise, I ate the whole thing in one sitting. I love finding new sweets brands with quality ingredients, especially when the sweets in question are chocolate!

Verdict: I really liked this month's Kloverbox finds! It's great that these products are all full-size, and that they've all got a natural slant to them. Everything was really lightweight, too—the peel, the lotion, even the oil. They felt really luxurious to use. And I'm digging this little brush, too! It's super easy to clean and making my morning and evening face wash routine feel even more thorough.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Sign up here to ensure you get the upcoming box!

COUPON: Use coupon code MSA10 to save 10% off your first box!

Value Breakdown: The box cost $25.00, but I estimate that I received $60.99 in value. That means I spent approximately the following on each item:

  • Exfoliant - $11.07
  • Lipstick - $8.20
  • Oil roller - $4.92
  • Chocolate - $0.82

Just call me Older but sometimes wiser

Am I the only person who does the Euro routine of a very warm ( over 104 degrees) long soaking bath followed by a shower for daily cleansing? It’s really great and the key to cleaning ALL delicate skin is to buy a cleanser with a pH of 5.5 to 6.0. This is considered to be a neutral pH for the skin. So, it’s not going to be either too acidic or too alkaline.. Won’t burn or fail to cleanse gently. It’s easier to get a pH balanced liquid than it is a bar soap, btw.

Before using a new product, test it with a litmus paper test strip. You can get a huge bottle on Amazon for just a few dollars and it will help protect face and body from harsh ingredients. I test everything before initial use.
Lots of us learned to do this with our non- subscription box K- skin care for the face, because the same product will be advertised for troubled acne and extremely dry skin. Testing, which takes about 10 seconds, is the best way to ensure that all cleansing products are neutral pH for the skin.

I have a few all- body niche cleansers on my ” go to” list that I buy over and over, but they are not subscription box items. One is a Kickstarter body wash developed by a person with severely burned skin.
It’s not expensive and the natural scent agent added is fabulous. Also comes in unscented.

I stopped using ” Feminine hygiene” products when I realized one day that most are either bright blue or bright pink. That’s not natural. Also, the pricing is higher because if someone wants to file a frivolous lawsuit for infertility or even a yeast infection due to use, the company has to build some insurance into their base profit margin.

I’m hesitant to read the other Kloverbox reviews after the vagina cleansing monologues posted here.

I received this box too and the only complaint I have is the lip gloss. It is so sheer and not buildable at all. I guess it will be a sparkly topper, but I honestly don’t use those too much. I wish this had been more deep in shade, similar to the tube coloring.

Sorry to hear you are unhappy with the gloss. We would love to correct this for you; please email us at [email protected]

I too was totally confused when I read about her liking “the little brush”?? I reread the review just to make sure that I didn’t miss something?!?

michele

I think they copied last month’s review as a template, replaced the item section but forgot to update the verdict wording. The little brush is the pore brush that was in last month’s box.

Lawden

Me too!!! I don’t see a brush either so glad I’m not crazy🙏🏻😬

I love Moody Sister products!!!! Their feminine wash and dusting powder is my favorite.

Snowhitetwin

I will have to check that brand out, thank you!

Amber

Feminine wash is BS. You’re not supposed to use anything more than clean water and a gentle hand.

michele

err no. you should use a good pH balanced soap – it doesn’t have to be marketed as a feminine wash – but you should be using some soap down there.

especially if you are on your period – clean water alone doesn’t quite cut it.

Redhed36

Amber,
I already posted a comment, but it apparently never went through.

That is really gross if you are not cleaning you undercarriage. Water is rinsing but not cleaning. It cannot smell good south of your border, you may not be able to smell it as your nose gets used to it.

Moody Sisters is an all natural and vegan company and their feminine products have been great, they have helped my PH levels tremendously.

Redhed36

That is really gross. I am sure you smell really fresh. Lol. I know for a fact that it works as it has helped my PH levels. I will not speak for all feminine cleansing products but Moody Sisters are all natural and that is the only cleansing product I’ll use in my sensitive areas. Again if you are not cleaning your undercarriage that is nasty. Bacteria and germs do not come off with water. 😲

Snowhitetwin

I don’t know. Feminine wash sometimes seems necessary….

Dea

Now I reaaaaaally want to try that cream exfoliant. It sounds heavenly. What a great box!

It’s nice. I use it in the bath to gently clean my chin and nose.
It adds to the spa feeling I attempt to have in my rented house with old, ugly bath tub. I’m trying to decide whether to renew my Kloverbox. They do send very sweet, elegant items.

FYI – I received an email from Kloverbox that the lipstick is not vegan and was mislabeled. It does contain carmine and lanolin.

Hi, Anna — The “Verdict” section of this post seems to be about the January Kloverbox? What did you think overall re: this box?

Reply ButtonReply

Snowhitetwin

I’m sure they will catch it soon.

Snowhitetwin

Or maybe not. And thank you redhead for the recommendation!

Luna

Good call. I was confused when a “little brush” was referenced in the final recap.

Sharon

Because they always copy from old posts instead of generating new, original ones. They really need to do more proofreading. 🙄

Bella01

Why don’t they do that? Seems to be just thrown together fast. It would be nice to get correct verdict.
