Every quarter, FabFitFun partners with a different charity, and for this box, the charity is Girl Rising.

Now, time for the items!

(There are a lot of pictures in this review because there are SO many items! And I’m going to show you all variants at the end of the review, too!)

Rachel Pally Reversible Clutch in Paradise – Retail Value $60

This item is available in 3 different colors. If you are a FabFitFun select member (annual subscriber) you were able to select your color choice. If you sign up for this box now, FabFitFun will pick the color for you.

This clutch measures 10.25″ across, 6.5″ tall when folded and 11.75″ tall when unfolded.

The teal side is made of vegan leather and the print is canvas.

It’s lined with polyester and is lead-free.

And there’s a pocket inside!

This clutch fits a phone, keys, hand sanitizer, and lip balm well without looking bulky.

And if you aren’t a fan of clutches, I think this would also work well as a makeup bag, or a bag with all your essentials in a larger beach bag, etc. I absolutely love the print and color of this bag, and plan on rocking it as a clutch!

Anderson Lilley Sunset Collection Candle in Fresh Linen – Retail Value $45

This item is available in three different scents. If you are a FabFitFun select member (annual subscriber) you were able to select your scent. If you sign up now, FabFitFun will select the fragrance for you.

My favorite part of this candle? The copper vessel! I love the modern lines – it’s already on display in my living room! (And when the candle is gone, it’s great to reuse as a pen/pencil holder, planter, etc.

The candle is 8 ounces, a soy wax blend, with a lead-free cotton wick. The fresh linen scent has notes of Mandarin Orange, Kaffir Lime, Clover, and White Tea. It’s fresh, clean, and slightly floral.

Free People Understated Leather Eyemask – Retail Value $40

All subscribers will receive one of three colors. Colors will be randomly selected. (I’ll show you all the options at the end of the review!)

This is a vegan leather sleep mask filled with a removable cooling insert. The opposite side is a soft fabric so it’s comfortable to wear:

And that strap is adjustable so you can get the perfect fit. Here is a closer look at the metallic stars:

And here is the removable cooling insert that you can pop in the fridge:

(Shown on the grey version.)

I like this mask as both an eye mask for sleeping and travel, and for a spa-at-home type of experience with the cooling insert. The mask is large, so it completely blocked out light for me, too. (Plus, the pastel colors with metallic stars are so cute!)

Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion – Retail Value $40

All subscribers will receive this item.

This is an oil-free moisturizer, designed to help refine the appearance of pores and help prevent blemishes. It’s paraben, phthalate, and sulfate free, too!

Normally when I try a skincare product, I can comment on if it is gentle on my skin, how quickly it absorbs, etc, but can’t say much about how it works beyond that. But in this case, it is different! I could actually feel that my skin felt softer and smoother immediately after applying it. (And it’s gentle on my skin and absorbed almost instantly, too!)

Physique 57 Massage Roller – Retail Value $20

All subscribers will receive one of four colors. Colors will be randomly selected. (I’ll show you all the options at the end of the review!)

This massage roller has foam flexible grips so it is easy to hold. I especially liked using this tool on my thighs. I have been using this cellulite massager on my legs every day, but this tool is definitely an upgrade. (I know this isn’t specifically designed for cellulite, but if I get benefits there while I’m working on muscles, that’s fine by me!)

Dermelect Makeover Concealing Ridge Filler – Retail Value $18

All subscribers will receive this item.

I know this is called “Makeover Concealing Ridge Filler,” but I think it deserves a more exciting name – this polish is awesome. It’s designed to help fix the appearance of nail ridges, yellow stains, and discoloration as a base coat. I say no other nail polish needed! I think this is perfect for anyone who wants a polished no-polish look.

It adds a glossy finish to your nails, and there’s this hint of a holographic shimmer. Here it is on:

This is my new go-to polish for nude look nails!

ISH Beauty Lip Statement Palette – Retail Value $42

All subscribers will receive this item.

The pigment is great throughout the palette, and the formulas are moisturizing and creamy.

I have to confess, I’m not one to usually change up my lip color, but I was happy to see that the far right, middle row color is very close to my regular lip color. But just different enough that I could tell myself I was trying new things!

Next step – trying out blending one or two of these colors together!

Here are all the shades swatched:

Next up, we have the Choice items. If you aren’t familiar, every season, FabFitFun allows subscribers to pick their choice between different items to customize their box!

Ettika Day Dreamer Tassel Earrings – Retail Value $58

This is the Jewelry Choice item. All subscribers had the opportunity to pick between these earrings or Maya Brenner Designs Love Bracelet ($65). If you sign up now, FabFitFun will select the jewelry item for you.

Here is Anna modeling these earrings for us:

These earrings are 18kt gold plated, with cotton thread, brass caps, alloy and surgical steel posts, and they are E-coated to prevent discoloration.

(I’ll model the bracelet for you at the end of the review.)

KNC Beauty Lip Masks – Set of 5 Value $25

This is the Beauty Choice item. All subscribers had the opportunity to pick between these lip masks or the KORRES Guava Body Cream ($24 Value). If you sign up now, FabFitFun will select the beauty item for you.

These collagen lip masks are all-natural and designed to help moisturize and plump your lips. (If you haven’t tried these before, imagine putting those undereye gel masks on your lips – it’s pretty similar.)

I found that these left my lips looking and feeling hydrated (and thus, a bit plumper), and the subtle tingly feeling I had while wearing it wasn’t irritating, but it was hard to keep the lip mask from sliding off. I’d recommend laying down while you are using these for the 20 minutes. (And maybe throw on the chilled eye mask, too!)

Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Polish – 1 oz. Sponsored Bonus Item

I sampled this before thanks to Target Beauty Box and I am a fan!

It’s a creamy scrub made with crushed Macadamia nuts, so it’s very gentle on your skin, and the scent was fresh, too. If you like a light and gentle scrub that doesn’t leave your skin oily, I recommend it.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $348! As always, I’m so impressed with how many items FabFitFun delivers for $49.99. And now that I have the whole box in front of me – not just the spoilers, I feel like this box has two themes: part treat-your-self spa day at home, part going-out and looking fab! I love the prints/designs on the clutch and eye mask, and there are so many great beauty items in this box, too. (The un-spoiled Murad + nail polish were two surprise major wins for me!)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? As of today, 2/20, yes!

CouponUse coupon code MSA10 to get this box for only $39.99!

Value Breakdown: At $49.99 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

And here I am modeling it to give you a better sense of scale:

Here are the other massage roller colors;

Here are the other eye mask colors:

And here are the other Choice options:

Korres Guava Body Butter – 125 ml Value $24

(Subscribers could pick between this and the lip masks.)

This is an ingredient-conscious, rich, body butter that smells like all things tropical. It isn’t greasy at all, and I’m just obsessed with the scent. I highly recommend this if you like tropical, beachy scents.

Maya Brenner Designs LOVE Bracelet – Retail Value $65

(Subscribers could pick between this and the earrings.)

This bracelet is made of Stainless steel and rose-plated. (Rose gold version below.) It’s 6 inches long, with an additional 1-inch extender. And like the earrings, the bracelet is E-coated to prevent discoloration.

I love delicate jewelry, so this bracelet is perfect for me. Here it is on:

If you spend most of your day at your computer like I do, a lot of bracelets can get in the way when you’re typing. But this one is so dainty I forgot I was wearing it! (It’s on the 6-inch length on my wrist.)

And here it is in rose gold:

Ok, that’s it! Thanks if you stuck with me the whole way through! Let me know what you think of all the options!

And new subscribers, use coupon code MSA10 to get this box for only $39.99!

  1. Hi. Thank you for the great review. I just went and subscribed! One note to mention I was allowed to select the jewelry option and beauty item. I chose the black tassel earrings and the lips masks.

  2. Great box! I love the clutch because I would never buy it and it pushes me to be cuter than I think I can be. I got the blue, red and cream one to go with many navy outfits. The pallet is amazing for a traveling woman, every color for every opportunity. I LOVE the candle and the holder, it will make a great little flower vase for my bar when its done burning. I can use everything else too. Great box as always for the money especially!

  3. Thanks for the review Liz! However, I have been subscribed for over a year and this is the first box I have been disappointed in. It doesn’t feel curated, doesn’t feel like a spring box, and it just feels like a hodge podge of stuff thrown together. FFF you can do better! Also, I love Murad products but getting a product designed for acne prone skin does not make sense. If we had been given a choice between two Murad products that would have been better. That’s a pricy item I will never use since I have dry skin. Also, ISH is their own brand. I would prefer to have a name brand or a new indy brand to try. Hoping for a better summer box.

    • I completely agree with you! I am so disappointed in this box! I have been subbed since 2015 and this is the first box that really has nothing of interest. I don’t mind some of the items, but paying $50 for things I don’t really want doesn’t seem worth it. It just sucks because I really want my add ons. I actually forgot to update my CC info and maybe I will just leave it so I don’t get charged for this box. Not feeling the contents.

      • Yes, I agree. This box is just not up to their normal standards. There is usually something I don’t particularly care about in each box, and I expect that. But normally I’m excited about several items in the box. Not this time though. I have an annual sub so I’m hoping the summer box will be better.

      • So far I agree, but I am going to wait to actually get the box. There have been times that I thought a box was going to be great or awful, and I’ve changed my mind both ways once I have the items in my hand. So, we’ll see!

    • I agree with you. This is my first box and I don’t think there is anything in this box that I would have purchased on my own. The nail polish looks like it might be good, but this is my first box and I’m kind of let down. I feel like I paid $50 for a box of things I probably won’t use. I get what they were trying to do with the earrings, with the fringe trend and all but there are so many other fringe earrings that would have been cuter. The bracelets just aren’t cute. I can see where a lip palette sounded like a good idea, but if I’m going to use a basic lipstick I’m going to have to carry it around with me everywhere to reapply. I’d rather not carry an entire palette with me and have to reapply several times a day. The clutch patterns are cute but I can’t stand carrying around a clutch. I’ve already cancelled my subscription, I’m glad I didn’t pay for the annual.

Side note: Thanks for your review Liz, this is the best site to find info on subscription boxes.

    • I totally agree with you on that one!

    • I totally agree with you! I’ve been an annual sub for two years, and I canceled right before I was charged when most of the spoilers were released. The savings on the annual sub didn’t make sense when there’s at least one whole box I’d rather not receive. I was actually thinking over and over “how am I going to get rid of that.” Great sign I need to move on from FFF – at least for this quarter.

      • How do you cancel.

        • If you are an annual member you have to wait until your year is up, but if you are month to month it’s in your account section.

    • I agree.

    • I agree! This is the first box I am not excited about. I would rather have my money than any of the random junk in this box.

    • I agree! This is only my second box but in the last box I felt like I would have paid $50 alone for the poncho! This box has no “wow factor” and no big ticket items that make you feel like you’re happy to pay the price of the box even if it’s just for those one or two items. I had intended to go skip this box but I was one day too late. 🙁

      • Worried.now🧐

      • Word on the poncho from the last box, I wear it all the time. I was also procrastinating buying a winter coat, so the poncho along with some smart layering saved me for a while, LOL

    • I agree not the best choices.

    • I agree with this, I have also been a subscriber for a long time of the FFF box and this box is very disappointing. I feel like they are starting to just send the same things, I know I have received that candle before and too many ISH products. The earrings are cute but I just don’t see anything really special about this specific box.

      • I just cannot believe they thought either of the jewelry pieces were good ideas..just junk..I like the lip palette and actually needed a spring candle…but the clutch? Agh. There are only so many items you can gift..this box is MY Treat to Me!! Not a box full of things to give to my nieces!
If there is ANYTHING INFLATABLE in the summer box I am giving up after 3? Years!

    • I completely agree!! I loved the winter box but this one is a complete let down. I feel like I paid $50 for a box of stuff that I wont use. When I was able to choose my items, I had to pick the ones that I hated less. From that moment I was hoping that this box wasn’t going to be terrible. I expect for there to be an item or two that I don’t love but there isn’t anything that I love (or even really like) Being a mom of two boys, this is my only real treat to myself. Really disappointed!!

    • I am in total agreement! It isn’t an awful box, but definitely not “fab” either. First box I’ve been disappointed in. Everything just seems rather meh this time.

    • Totally agree!!! This is the first box that I just don’t like. This one feels
Like a waste of money. The candle smells awful, the earrings are ugly and came broken, the lip masks fall off the second you put it on. Big disappointment. Hopefully the Summer box will be better or I’m done.

    • :(((((((( super disappointed in the Spring box too! My first box was Winter, which I loved.
Spring box has so many CHEAPLY made items. What happened?
-The lip kit… poor qualty, most colors looked awful on me.
-Guava Butter…. can anyone smell guava??? Smells like old lady perfume to me. Or a lotion that had expired maybe?
-massager … this looks like a $7 made in china item that will fall apart soon.
-clutch… just ok, it looks better in the pictures. real life looks less expensive than the cost FFF claims.
-The eye/sleep mask. I had been wanting an eye cooling mask but when you freeze the gel part it is very stiff, hard to get in the leather holder and doesn’t comform to your face. works ok as sleep mask
-I got the “love” bracelet. its cute but just ok. the earring looked cheap
-nail polish yet…. haven’t tried yet.
-the candle smells ok, it is in a pretty copper container. I wouldn’t buy it again though.
Murad lotion, I’m dry skin but have used it as a base for under foundation. It is a nice lotion. but don’t love it. Won’t repurchase once it runs out.
Please FFF – do not do a repeat of this box. I feel jipped!

    • I agree with you, I did not like this box at all. I really love my first editors box winter 2018, that I continued my subscription I did a review on it at Trekking4treats.com my blog, This box has products that don’t seem as luxurious. I would have preferred more beauty items, and I absolutely hate cream lip kits as they are a pain to pack around and they become messy. I am a positive person, and I know I got to see the items before but I honestly wont use most of these products. Then I got double billed and received two of the same box.. I am now trying to sell them. I do like the fancy name brands that fabfitfun supplies for the price, I have been trying a lot of subscription boxes and I feel like I have to go back and edit my great review because this box was not great or exciting. P.S. Your website inspired me to go out and try lots of subscription boxes, and it is a really nice website, makes mine look like childs play.

  4. Thanks for the review, Liz!

I’m pretty “meh” about this box, to be honest. There’s nothing here that I’m that excited to receive, which is a first for me with FabFitFun. Normally even if I don’t like everything in the box, there’s at least one item that I love and has that “have to have it” factor… I feel like the curation is just off on this one — if I hadn’t already reupped my annual subscription, I probably would have skipped this box. It also doesn’t really have any spring vibes for me at all, but that might just be me 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • I couldn’t have worded it better Christy! This is my 6th FFF box and the only subscription box that I get myself as a splurge. I normally am excited for the majority (if not all) of the items, however not so much for this box. I will probably keep/use most of the items, but am hoping that the Summer box will “wow” me. P.S. It pains me to say anything disparaging about FFF because I have been a huge fan from day (box) 1! 😕

    • Exactly what I thought!

    • I actually got the Editors box and was super stoked with it, but then when I saw the first sneak peek I was like mmmmm, not looking too good. Then I saw the second and third choices ( I’m not annual ) and I was like oh no, not for me. I wavered back and forth for a day or two ( FOMO ) but I decided no, I doubt anything else is going to grab me. SOOO glad I stuck with my gut. Would have used the candle and maybe the love bracelet but probably nothing else.

    • Exactly, just felt super meh and nothing that excited me, no one really big item, the jewelry sadly looked cheap and as for the add-ons I paid for– they even gave me 2 exactly the same mystery bags that were both full of worthless items I can not use, a broken speaker—- so for me I really am looking for new sub to replace this when my sub is up

  5. I’m happy with this box even though I was on the verge of canceling. I think these are a lot of items I have or have something similar to so it doesn’t seem exciting but I will probably use all of this versus the bigger ticket (inflated retail) items they have sent in the past. I literally just took that roundie blanket thing out the other day so my kid could have a pretend picnic and that may have been the first time it was used so I’d much rather have a little clutch bag.

  6. I cancelled this box after the first couple spoilers came out. Honestly, everything in it looks like stuff I’d find on a clearance rack at Marshall’s. Maybe I’ll resubscribe for summer but I’m not feeling bad to be missing this one.

  7. The eye mask is nice. “vegan leather” is a fancy term for plastic.

They should just take the “fit” out of Fab Fit Fun.

    • I emailed them the other day on what happened to the fitness product in each box. They responded with ” everyone has their own likes”

    • My gel insert had a hole in the seam and leaked everywhere, didn’t even get to use it.

      • Did you contact FFF’s customer service? They are really good about replacing broken/damaged items.

  8. Anyone know if you can do a gift subscription on the box? I see an option for gift cards, but not to gift a subscription to the box. Maybe I’m missing it?

  9. The murad and the nail product make it worth it for me. I need both of these items and I’m excited to try new brands. Everything else is a bonus – almost like a GWP – since I would have spent $50+ on these two items anyway. Speaking of GWP, that’s what the eye mask reminds me of since it’s not something that Free People typically sells. But I’m excited about the candle (which I absolutely don’t need but will happily use) and the bracelet which I was on the fence about but looks really cute modeled in the review. Overall, not my fav FFF box but I’m not totally disappointed.

  10. I really like the earrings and the massage roller. If this box was $39, I’d buy it. FFF always has a spot in my heart but I have only splurged on 1 or 2 boxes from them.

  11. I think it is a solid box. I actually excited to see it. The thing is box includes items that I don’t need or would never buy it myself. BUT, I am looking forward to pink tassel earrings, they would be perfect with summer dress. I want to try Murad, I am kicking myself for about 6 months now that I did not buy Murad on summer add ons. I actually excited for the roller. I do not have one, but never convinced myself that I need one when I shop at TJ Max. Now I will definitely use it on my sore legs after body pump class or my tight shoulders. The lip palette would be convenient to take when I travel for business. Candle would be nice to aroma my house when I burn food. Overall, I will use up every single item, which I would never took effort to buy.

    • hahahaha! “When I burn food”

    • I was not excited about the roller at first but WOW!!! It is amazing and reaches tight muscles with ease. It can be used as a foot roller too for tired feet after a day of high healed torture. You will love the roller!

  12. Not a fan of this box at all. I didn’t realize the LOVE was a bracelet, now I’m wishing I had picked the earrings instead because they are more giftable. I picked the orange pouch as a gift for my sister. I will use the facial lotion, that’s about it it.
This frustrates me, because I am a Popsugar subscriber, and I’m realizing that a bad box from them is going to be a huge disappointment now that they’re quarterly.
Anyway, FFF is cheaper, so $50 for this weird collection of items isn’t too bad.

    • I’d love to swap you for the love bracelet!

      Swap user/8646/profile

  13. This happens to be my last box with FFF. I had an annual subscription, and I don’t plan to resub. I might come back in the future, but I’m taking a break to save some $$$. My tastes tend to run closer to a box like Happy Rebel, but I’m not willing to shell out the price tag on that one. Overall, its not a super thrilling final box, but its nice. I was also able to snag all the add-ons I wanted (though I was sad to see no Bum Bum Cream or those fuzzy socks available). I like the box almost more for the add-ons than the actual content, but its definitely been fun! I’ll get use out of all the items, excluding maybe the lip palette.

    • I totally agree re: the add-ones! If I had more disposable income I totally would have gotten this box solely to be able to access the them! I snagged loads of great ones w/ the winter box that really helped round out some Christmas gifts (& of course for me too!)
I’m passing on this one but was so bummed to miss out on the add-ons!
I don’t ever commit to a box until/ unless I’ve seen all spoilers come out…both b/c I will only purchase a box that is cruelty free beauty/ skincare brands, no leather or animal hair brushes, etc) & b/c I don’t have the room in my budget to be getting boxes “just for fun” that I can’t truly use. I’ve gotten probably 4 or 5 boxes in the past 3 or 4 years & have never had an issue or been unable to snag a box I truly want.

  14. I rarely like every item in a FFF box, but I almost always like enough to get my money’s worth, and then some. I’m very excited for the candle, Korres, and Murad. And the mask with cooling insert and roller are two items I’ve never seen in a sub box. The rest is okay/meh, but I’m pleased overall.

    • I totally agree. The Murad and lip palette are not really my thing, but I am psyched about the rest and that’s pretty great!

  15. I am really excited to get this box! (And my add-ons, too). I think Fabfitfun does a FANTASTIC job curating their boxes. For the price we pay, we really get a lot of fun items. Thank you FFF! Thanks MSA for the review! Remember everyone, they only charge us 49.99. It’s not like they have unlimited resources to go and buy this stuff. They want to stick around awhile, pay their staff, and grow their business. And most of us want them to succeed and be around for a long time, too!

    • Completely agree with you Janet! My general feeling is if I can find $50 of value in the box then it is a win. Between the candle, the lip mask and the Murad. I scored! Everything else is a fun bonus.

  16. The pics she included of the eyemasks at the end all look identical? Those are supposed to be the different color choices? The pics make them all look the same?

    • Its pink OR blue….

    • One is mint and the other is grey. Subtle difference

    • Yea they were all the same color masks and it wasn’t ” just b/c of our phones”

  17. I was just thinking this morning how I wished there were more Murad products in the add-ons and I’m SO happy to see this moisturizer included this month! I love their products. That online is more the $45 I pay a quarter. I have another Murad moisturizer with SPF that I like, but the one without is good for winter. I’ve been wanting a massage roller too, but couldn’t get myself to pull the trigger to buy one, so another score for FFF. Aside from the lip colors (I don’t like lip palettes, not an easy on the go product which is what I need from lip products), think everything is this box will get a lot of use from me!

  18. so excited! I am going on a 2-week trip to Japan at the end of March, and those black tassel earrings will go so well with my kimono! they look light, and easy to travel with. also, they will jazz up all different outfits:) I chose the orange and yellow clutch-because it is gorgeous! and will totally take me into the summer. I love Rachel Pally, so this clutch was a score! You can pretty much up the ante on any outfit with a cool bag like this. that lip palette is super cool, and such a space saver! You can also create your perfect lip color for any outfit- instead of going out and buying a new lipstick. The free people sleep mask is soo cute! and the murad cream looks awesome sauce. I have canceled my popsugar box, and currently have boxycharm, FFF and the BOS. The combo of these three keep me fully stocked on little fun gifts, makeup, skincare and accessories. Such a money saver!

  19. I will use everything in this box! My only disappointment is that the Murad doesn’t have spf and I need something with sun protection for summer.

  20. Doesn’t stand up compare to winter which was a huge win for me, I canceled with early spoilers howvever I might resub if only to use $10 off. I’m not sure why it’s not worth $49.99 to be but $39.99 sounds better lol… case of the FOMO.

  21. All the eye masks look the same color to me. What are they supposed to be?

    • I just said the same thing lol. Did she include the wrong pictures or are they all identical? I don’t see any color differences at all here

    • I thought the same. They come in cream, pink and mint. I think the cream and mint just looked really similar in the photos.

  22. So, there’s nothing incredibly exciting here but I think most of it is quite useful and not bad for 50 bucks! Considering the add on component as well, I’m feeling alright about this. The bar is so high for FFF that I guess we’re all bound to feel a bit meh from time to time. Overall its still a win

    • I feel much the same. I don’t see a “wow” item, it has a level of practical. My daughter wants the bracelet and I added the crazy tassel earrings, but only because I’m attending a couple salsa dance parties and think I’ll get more than $10 of use from them.
I look forward to opening the box.

    • 100% agree.

  23. I wasn’t thrilled with the spoilers(clutch, jewelry, eye mask) but I’m actually really excited to receive my box. I really like the nail product and massage roller. The Dove product is great! I was planning to buy it after I tried it in the Target box. I’m probably more excited for my add ons. With a little persistence I got everything I wanted!

  24. Excited might be an over statement but I am looking forward to using many of these items. I am actually excited for the massage roller for some reason. I will be happy with any color but the lavender would be my 1st choice and grey, my last.
I was a little worried about the Murad for my dry skin by it see someone else commented on that and it seems it will be ok.
I actually like the black earrings and added the silver bracelet which I plan to stack.
I have the perfect strap to add to the Bloom clutch so I am somewhat excited about that.
I love playing with makeup so I will try out the lip palette. It isn’t something I would ever buy myself but I will make the best of it.
The ridge filler… I don’t have ridges to he filled so…
The candle… Very excited about this! Also excited to have a new pencil cup I a few weeks!
I chose body cream. Whatever, it’s body cream. I will get around to using it eventually. Saves me from buying some any time soon.
I live out of the country and my dad leaves March 5th to visit me and the box ships to his house. I so hope it arrives in time. Otherwise, I have to wait until May when I visit the States 😞.

  25. Really excited about this box! Any info on the “surprise” bundles?

  26. Oh my goodness, why did my comment post so many times????

  27. I’m not a subscriber, just a looky-lou at this point. That’s quite a lot of product and variety for the $$$. You def getting your money’s worth. IMHO

  28. I agree it does seem a bit underwhelming for a 5 year anniversary box with no real ‘hero’ item and ‘theme’ is a bit all over the place, but all in all, I’m excited for this box. As others have said, the jewelry choices weren’t good, but other than that and the sleep mask, I’m looking forward to everything in the box especially the candle!! I’ve wanted to try Murad products and one of those roller things for a while now, can always use help with my brittle nails, plan to use the clutch for travel (and love Liz’s the beach bag idea), gift the lip palette to my niece, and can always use another paraben free body cream. So I’m pretty happy.

    • I won’t use that mask to sleep, but definitely as a cooling treatment.

      • Oh I totally forgot about the cooling insert! I just blazed past that part of the review since I’d seen the spoiler post. I’m more excited about it now. Thanks!

      • I am looking forward to it for allergy and migraine relief. Cooling eye packs are a dream come true!!

  29. I might depot my pallet and add to my single carry pot or small magnetic pallet fot travel…i know ill use allllll of it bc i can mix and match for a perfectly paired lip and cheek look since i love “cream blush” …this and the murad are what im most excited about.
BUT, the silver bracelet and kores are cool too….i know ill use the eye mask bc o use them every night, i hope i like my clutch but i had such a hard time picking and will kick myself if i regret my choice when i see it. And ive been wanting a foam roller, this will do in the mean time.

  30. This is a terrible box! I only like the candle. Boo hiss!!

  31. I see a lot of people are not happy with the upcoming box, well I am not surprised. I am excited for my box not because I love every item in it, but because what I don’t want can be gifted and the value IMO does exceed the cost of the box. I am not even talking about retail value but how useful the items are to me. I also like being exposed to something new. I think the clutches are gaudy, but you know what I am going to make the best of it and find something to do with my LA Vise 80’s clutch (preferably slap the designer in the face with it and ask what were you thinking). Will likely gift the dainty bracelet to my daughter for Christmas. I think people are going to be really peeved when they realize it’s too small.
I wish the dove product was full size I received this exact sample in my target box.
I am excited for my candle, lotion, Murad, and add-ons.

  32. This box looks and is amazing! I’m so excited to get mine because I really would love to get all these items , so this I’m glad I got! This has a lot of stuff I’ve been needing and haven’t yet purchased bc of busy work so thanks fff

  33. I’m about to disagree with a lot of people: With the exception of the jewelry selection (all four of these options are TRAGIC), I LIKE THIS BOX A LOT!

I think the lip palette is a great, creative idea! FFF always includes a beauty item and if they didn’t, people would be upset over the missing beauty item. If they had included an eye shadow palette, lots of people would have complained that they have too many palettes and eye shadow is boring. You can’t please everyone.

The clutch will definitely push me outside of my fashion comfort zone and I’m happy to go there! I selected the Bloom print and already traded for the Paradise as well!

I’m always happy to have candles, body butters, and facial moisturizer, those are complete wins for me.

Everyone seems to love the eye mask, but I already have one I like, so that item *miiiiiight* go up for swaps. I think the massage thingie is a unique item to have, and I’m even excited about the ridge filler because I have prematurely ridgey nails (a genetic gift from my mother).

I don’t know, guys, from where I sit, this is a great box for 50 bones! (But I cannot overstate how much I loooooathe that jewelry selection!)

    • I am with you on the jewelry. I only chose the black earrings because worse case scenario, they’d be good for a Navy Ball or cruise Formal night. I am withholding judgement on the mask and massager until I get them . everything else I was happy with, although I would have loved if the candle was one of the options to add an extra for $10. I would have gotten all three probably.

      • the jewelry IS tragic. first, because those tassel earrings would have been better for a box a few seasons ago when the tassel earring trend started coming on strong. but also because that love bracelet is so middle school.

  34. This box is kinda meh for me… Even after the revealing the rest of the items, I could definitely say that none of the items are truly exciting. Dermelect Makeover Concealing Ridge Filler? Really? In the age of gel and other awesome long-lasting nail products , they included something from the last century.. Hope this year’s upcoming boxes are going to be better, otherwise I will be canceling my annual subscription by the end of the year.

    • I’m with you. Not one item I’m excited about.

    • I am fine with a ridge filler as I have them due to a medical issue. I won’t use gels nor do fake nails, so this is probably one of the few items in here I like!!

I dislike a lot about this box, but the ridge filler is not one of them – lol. I wish the dove sample was a full size, that is how pathetic this box is for me.

      • Michelle, I was thinking the same thing about the Dove item lol

      • That Dove body scrub is pretty awesome! I bought a full size one after sampling it in a Target box. Great value!

      • Ditto about the ridge filler/ polish. I also have nail ridges due to a medical issue. I will not use artificial nails either. I’m really happy with this nail product modeled by Liz and the fact that it’s like a nude pink polish, which is my preferred manicure look.

I REALLY think I’m going to use and like everything in this box, and there are a ton of things. Wish there was some chocolate….. and that’s my only ” wish” item.

      • I think the nail ridge filler polish is a GREAT item. 😀 We all know someone who needs it. I don’t, but my mom has had so much trouble with her nails over the years: splitting, breaking, the dreaded ridges…she’s always in need of nail TLC products to protect her nails. The struggle is REAL. I’d say for anyone with problem nails, this is the hero item of this box.

I may get this box after all so I can gift the nail ridge filler polish to her and for the Murad cream and tassel earrings.

  35. I like everything and am glad that the tassel earrings were a choice item instead of mandatory for all. I will never understand the tassel craze. Tassels belong on furniture, if anything!

    • They aren’t tassels they are fish lures. 🙂 My husband seen those and the first thing he said “are those fish lures?” So you know that is where many men are going to go in their heads when they see woman walking around with them. Now that is all I see. Ha!

      • Then maybe I’ll get lucky and catch a man…
        ( jokes of course) 🙂

  36. I’m glad I cancelled this box. There were some items that were ok, but with nothing that I actually wanted it seemed a waste. I’ve tried all of the Murad acne line and the skin perfecting lotion is the only item of the line I don’t like.

  37. I’m really excited for this box now!

  38. I am surprised by all of these disappointed comments. I actually think this seems like a great box. Maybe it is because I am in love with the orange clutch? However, most of the other items seem more than just “ok” to me. Even the few items I won’t use (candle bc of my arson cats, eye mask bc I have one I like) will gift well. I also like that the brands seem different than most boxes-Free People and Murad are two brands I love but have never received in a subscription box.

    • I’m about to disagree with a lot of people: With the exception of the jewelry selection (all four of these options are TRAGIC), I LIKE THIS BOX A LOT!

    • OMG arson cats just made me lol!

    • The giftability of the items is half the fun to me! Will I wear that bracelet? No, but it will make a wonderful gift for my soon to be ten year old niece. The clutch is going to be my new makeup bag; I’ve been needing a larger one. And the candle will be part of my husband’s birthday; he loves candles! And then there’s the lip palette!that will be all mine!!! Yes, I’m super excited to get this box!!

      • Totally agree! I save items all year long from my subs so stockings are overflowing on Christmas day.

    • No matter how many times you spam the thread with this post, I’m not changing my mind. This is a super disappointing box.

      • How many times do you need to post the same comment on the same review ? We all get it you like the box for it’s overall value, but aren’t a fan of the jewelry choices.

        • She says she doesn’t know why it posted to many times. I think glitch.

          • @Liz Cadman Can you ask Eric to see if there’s an issue causing a comments to appear several times as a comment and reply?

      • Sometimes FFF posts comments more than one time. It is probably not deliberate.

  40. it’s meh. The only redeeming factor for me is that it is all useful stuff (the lip palette may be the one exception, for a makeup item that has to be constantly reapplied, a palette isn’t practical for on-the-go). I’m probably most excited about the roller (i would love it in grey or orange). Glad i decided to only get 1 tiger tail add-on. I debated getting one for me in addition to the one for hubby.

  41. I have super dry skin, sorry but no acne, zits one me. Is this Murad appropriate for my skin type?

    • Hi. This particular Murad product is great for all skin types and can be used even if you don’t have acne. It’s just an all around fab product. If you do have extremely dry skin, I would make sure that you are using a hydrating treatment in addition as this may not provide enough.

  42. I love every item in the box! It seems well rounded box to me! I almost bought a roller this week and Glad I waited!

    • I’m with you. I love this box. I get several boxes but this one is the one I always look forward to and I’m excited to receive it. I love the annual subscription so I can pick what I want. I did quite a few add on so that ups it even more!!!! Nobody can compete with Fabfitfun!!!!

  43. Not impressed with this box at all.

    • I am not either just cancelled my box

    • I agree. I cancelled my box.

  44. I think the clutch is supposed to be the big item,, but since, for most, it’s disappointing, this box just feels like it’s missing something.

  45. I cancelled my annual sub right before this box and I’m not having any fomo. The item I’m really coveting is the clutch and I’m sure I can pick that up in swaps!

    • I’m super excited for this box! Lots of new things to try that I would likely not purchase on my own-all for $50. This is why FFF is one of my favorite subscriptions. Thanks for your detailed reviews, Liz!

    • I cancelled mine right before this box, too, after seeing the spoilers here. Literally not one thing I was excited for, and now having seen everything that was in it I think I made the right choice. I’m bummed, though, because this was such a treat and something to look forward to! :/

      • It’s not even like it’s a bad box… I would definitely use everything in there. I just wasn’t excited about anything in it and I have most of this stuff already anyway. With the winter box being my last box, it seemed like fate stepping in!

    • What are “swaps”?

  46. I think I’ve changed my mind on this box. I love the Murad and Korres and, although I already have one, the massage roller is a great product. Just a heads-up that you may get bruises when you start using it. I also like the nail product.

Hmmm…I cancelled after the spoilers but this box is a decent box. I cannot image how hard it is to choose box after box of varied items the general subscriber might like.

The lip palette is growing on me as I recently started a YouTube channel and it may be fun to apply a new lip color before filming. The jewelry will go to my 8 year old niece as it looks cheap. And you are right – the clutch will be cute in my beach bag. I will use the candle or gift it and pass along the eye mask to my sister.

I really appreciate these reviews and the cost break down. It helps me to see the value!

  47. Being able to skip a box is the only perk of being a seasonal member. I’m glad I cancelled the spring box. Hoping for a better box next season.

    • This will be my fourth box and I did not realize I could skip one? Good to know.

      • you can’t cancel if you are an annual – if you are seasonal, you can cancel (skip)

        • Got it, thanks. I realized I misunderstood the original comment. I wish we could be annual and skip a box, but I guess that would defeat the purpose of having an annual subscription.

        • Not true, I am seasonal and was able to skip this box. I simply asked one of their customer service reps and they did it for me.

  48. I like the Add ons I chose more than the box itself lol

    • Same! Lol. Only items I’m looking forward to are the body butter, Murad and candle, but nothing in particular is blowing me away. I enjoyed the winter box a lot though -every item, so the bar was set high.

  49. Can’t wait to get my box and my add-ons!!

  50. Most underwhelming 5th anniversary box EVER.

I wish FFF had a skip the box option for annual members. Since they don’t, I am riding out my sub.

    • I couldn’t agree more, Michelle. I have a home for the candle, clutch, and eye mask. Other than that, l just don’t know.

    • Same… Riding out the annual and then I may go seasonal so I can choose to skip boxes.

      • I just signed up for seasonal. Glad you posted about being able to skip boxes because I was wondering if that was an option after reading all of the comments! 🙂

    • Same…

    • I agree completely!

    • If I was seasonal I would have skipped this box. So disappointed and don’t even understand this box. It is definitely not geared towards the majority I would say my 12 year old daughter who actually ended up with most of it LOL! FFF really? What was this box? Why? BUMMER
