Switch is a jewelry rental service that lets you try out designer jewelry without the commitment. You pick your favorite pieces and try them out for as long as you want with a monthly fee. This is a review of the 3 pieces at a time plan.
Switch also offers the option to purchase jewelry pieces at a discounted member price.
Switch will always use USPS First Class mail to send your jewelry unless it weighs more than 1 pound. Each package comes with a prepaid USPS return label so you can leave your return for your mail carrier or drop it off at the post office if you're the nervous type.

Switch Review Featuring: Hermes
Without even trying, I picked ALL Hermes items this month! Let's check 'em out:
There are a few pieces of info in the box pertaining to the subscription and how it works.
Hermes Isthme Necklace - Retail Value $280.00, Cost to Keep $200.00
The first look is this oversized necklace with a giant O-shaped pendant on the end. It's about 18.25" long, and the pendant measures about 3.5" long and 2.75" wide. It's made of some kind of enamel, so it has a gentle shine. As you can tell from today's outfit, I usually wear black or gray or some other very simple color, so I like using accessories to add a burst of color into a look. The red orange of this pendant feels really modern, as does the minimalist design itself. And the leathery cord that it hangs off of is both comfortable and easy as pie to throw over my head.
Hermes Ano Cuff Bracelet - Retail Value $270.00, Cost to Keep $235.00
If it's not obvious, I love color blocking and minimalist design. The simple, sleek design of this enamel cuff is a perfect match for my closet. It feels fresh and modern and adds structure to my late-winter sweatshirt and jeans uniform. Plus, it's about 2" wide and rounded on the edges, so I found it comfortable to slip on and off of my wrist. The only bummer with this piece is that it's very clearly a rental—there are pretty significant chips on both the black and white parts of the piece. Not something I'd keep, but something I'll enjoy renting.
Hermes Annee De La Maine Cadena Necklace - Retail Value $395.00, Cost to Keep $295.00
This necklace is so cool! I like unexpected shapes and charms—this cross between a lock and a hand is definitely my vibe. It has a great weight to it, too, and I like how the 18" chain is a bit wider and heftier than typical necklace chains. It's a little bit industrial and just edgy enough for me.
The Verdict: All of these styles were so me! The looks this subscription offers are typically more brand/logo oriented, which isn't always my thing. These pieces, however, were the perfect match for my aesthetic. (I guess I'm an Hermes fan now!) I was disappointed by the chips on the cuff, though my expectations aren't the highest for rental subscriptions, so it didn't ruin the experience for me. It was just one of those "aw shoot, comes with the territory, I guess" kinds of feelings. Of course, if you were upset by the chips, you can easily swap it out for something new (using the free return label) or contact Switch for help!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Once I return these pieces, they'll be available again, but pieces can get snatched up quick! You can, however, always sign up and shop the oodles of other earrings, necklaces, and bracelets they offer!
Value Breakdown: These three pieces cost $69.00 to rent, which is a great deal if it works for your budget and needs. It's is pricier than Rocksbox (which offers mid-range designer jewelry) but less than Rent the Runway (which offers designer jewelry, accessories, and clothes, too). To rent just one piece per month is $29.00, so you're saving about $6.00 per piece. To buy them at retail, the items I got would cost $905.00 in total.
Also, the member price for all of the pieces is $730.00 in total. But remember, you get $10.00 off because you're a member! So that's $720.00 to buy everything.
