  1. For those of you that got the Indie box in the past, do you think is worth the money? For me with taxes and shipping, it comes up to 150. Not sure if I want to drop that much money for sample sizes.

  2. Purchased and am also debating on the Indie box. I have been hoping that Cult Beauty will have a gwp as I am still interested in the box by Caroline Hiron. Plus waiting for Barney’s gwp as a couple of boxes I would like there too. Perhaps I should use up some of my stock first or at least sort and donate some to the women’s shelter.

    • Hi Connie,

Barneys love yourself GWP is usually in February and so is SpaceNK Beauty Edit so unless you absolutely must buy now, maybe you can wait a little longer to get all the freebies.
I bought the Indie box because the products are unique so they aren’t typically in Barneys or SpaceNK and I love new discoveries. I’m saving some $$$ for Barney’s and SpaceNK.

I feel like it was just Black Friday and now, it’s February gifting time. How time flies!

      • Thank you Karen. I will definitely be able to hold out for the February specials. Skin care items are the items I treat myself to. Still on the fence on the Indie box but think I will be sorry if I do not get and it sells out. If I recall you also have guided me on Byredo candles. I just purchased Tom Dixon candles which I have not tried before but they were on sale on Net-a-Porter plus an additional 20% off.

      • Great! Now I have to buy Tom Dixon candles too! I can’t resist candles. I just found out that Byredo and Diptyque are sister brands. I was at the Diptyque store getting the new limited edition Rose candle for Valentine gifts and the sales person mentioned this. I guess it’s not a surprise. Cire Trudon is next on my list for a treat.
Neom candles are great for sleep time, the same candle they included in the October Mintd Box.

    • Hi Connie, last year Cult Beauty’s first GWP goodie bag for the year was in early March. 🙂

      • Thanks Luna. Hopefully the Caroline Hiron is still available. Feels like not such a splurge when you get something extra with it.

    • What is the Indie box?

  3. I don’t get the $85 dollars for this bag of samples. I understand a lot of these products are expensive but these are samples which means half a tube and the other half is air. Maybe you can do one side of your face once. Definite pass on this on seems like a rip off to me

    • Those sound like Birchbox samples to me!! 😀

  5. Already purchased. I know it looks crazy expensive for sample sizes but these products are ultra luxe and I’m excited to give them a try. I’m not sure what I’ll do if I fall in love with a $300 product. Also, Net A Porter has amazing service, packaging, and delivery.

    • I agree! I think they have the best packaging out of any place I purchase from. 🙂

      • Luna, thanks for letting all of us know via Liz. Somehow, I am not getting NAP’s emails..
Got my Ultimate Renew Beauty Kit. : ) Love the brands!!

      • Yay! I hope find a hidden gem in it. 🙂
It’s funny because I get the NAP emails, and I swear I *never* open them, but for some reason I just decided to open the one revealing the kit yesterday. I think it was fate. ha!

      • (I replied last night, but see it didn’t post, so sorry if there’s a double posting)

I always get Net-a-Porter’s emails, and I swear that I never open them, but for some reason when I got the email two days ago I just decided to click on it, and this was the first thing shown in the email! It must be fate. 🙂

I hope you find a nice treasure or two in this kit!

      • Thank you Luna!

      • My pleasure! 🙂

  6. There are some crazy expensive products in there! The 111Skin, at one third the full size, is worth over $115!! The Omorovicza is a little under one third full size but it’s one of, if not the, most expensive products they make, making this sample worth over $70! Kat Burki is also super expensive, but this is a little under 1/4 size so it’s worth about $32. And the Lilah b is full size ($48.)

Still, for ME, it looks like the products I’d be most likely to use are the less expensive ones. So I’m not sure it’s worth it for me.

  7. The 111 Skin Y Theorem Repair Serum sample alone is worth $117, these are all luxury skin care products.

  8. This should say free with $85 purchase, right? I mean, how is this (cheap looking) plastic bag full of sample sized product $85???! This should be at most $25. I’m confused. What am I missing? 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • You’re probably missing how insanely expensive most of these products are. I haven’t totalled them ALL up, but what I have comes to well over $300. And most of these are about 1/4 to 1/3 full size, so they’re good sizes.

      • Yeah, I just did the math too and it turned out to be just about $396! Like… whaaat?! The sizes are tiny though! Even if something turned out to be amazing, you’d only get like 2-3 uses out of it! That’s crazy for an $85 price tag!

      • With the exception of the one-time use products you should be able to get at least 1 to 2 weeks worth of use out of the deluxe samples. I can usually get about 1 to 3 weeks out of samples this size (depending on the type of product), and I don’t consider myself chinzy with how much I use. But, I do only use them on my face. I could see going through them fast if one were to use them on their neck & chest (I can never remember how to spell the fancy word for “chest” that people use. haha) as well. That 1 to 3 weeks is usually enough time for me to tell whether I like a product or not. 🙂

      • Luna, you crack me up. If you are using Vicks vaporub, you apply it to your chest. If you are however, using super expensive skin care, then you apply it to your decolletage. I’m missing the accent on the first “e” as I don’t have the French keyboard. 🙂

I will most likely be buying this but I miss the days when they actually included full size items.

On a totally different note, Indie Beauty Expo just released their limited edition box for the Best in Show winners. That’s $125 for over $600 worth of products. The list looks good!

      • I agree with Luna. Most deluxe size skincare samples will usually last me at least a week or more. Skincare is best used as “less is more.” If a deluxe size sample is gone in 1 or 2 uses, you may be using too much per application and wasting it. A thin layer is all that is needed especially if you are using multiple steps. Each step will need to absorb, so its best to use a light hand during application.

I usually like to research the value of these kits before jumping to conclusions about price. But I’ll be passing on this since I already have a lot of luxury skincare samples to go through before I get anymore.

      • Hey Karen! I was waiting for you to make an appearance here. 🙂 haha
That’s a funny (and great!) distinction between the two. haha Fortunately, I know how & when to use the fancy le chest version , but I don’t dare try to spell it. haha!
I saw that IBE box too! As always, I’m so excited for it. 🙂 I hope you find some great stuff in there! Have you ever thought about attending the LA IBE? (you’re somewhere near LA, right?)

      • Luna, im sooo bummed I’m going to miss IBE even though it’s in my hometown. I have to be away for work, this is why I had to grab that box ASAP. I’d be heartbroken if I missed everything. Can’t wait to see what Svetlana has to say about it. It sounds like she’s going to attend.

      • Décolleté.. it’s French! I only know cuz I’m French too! Bonjour et bonne soirée!

  9. Oooooh fancy.
But is it 85$ fancy when all the items are samples? Yet to be determined.
    But still fancy.
