Julep Nail Polish in Geri - Retail Value $14

This is a Blushing Beige Crème with a high shine finish - it matches my skin tone and is perfect for a nude nail look!

(Swatched in lower photo.)

Julep Nail Polish in Jenn - Retail Value $14

This polish is a "Mahogany Crème" with a high shine finish.

Here are both shades on:

I'm loving the browns this month!

Love Your Bare Face Detoxifying Cleansing Balm Stick – Retail Value $28

This is a gentle oil cleansing stick that is super easy to use - just apply it directly to your face, then massage with water to get a subtle lather. It did a pretty good job of removing makeup, too, but I'd still recommend using a makeup wipe first.

I'm a fan of the formula. First, it has a fabulous and natural grapefruit scent - I just love it! Second, it didn't dry my skin out at all, and the oil balm left my skin feeling softer, too.

Verdict: As usual, I'm happy with all my choices this month. I love my neutral nail polish picks, and the cleansing balm is perfect for my dry winter skin. This box has a retail value of $56, and I think that's a great deal for a $24.99 box you can completely customize.

I highly recommend this subscription if you love nail polish and/or you like having control over your beauty box items! (And I also recommend doing the 3-month subscription at $19.99 a month for better savings!)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You have to sign up by the 20th to get the next month's box. Then on the 24th, you'll be able to sign into your Julep Maven account and select the items you want for your box!

That cleanser is my HG – I love it! I get the best results by getting my face wet, pinching off a little bit of balm, and rubbing it on to my wet face using my fingers. That little stick lasts forever and is great for travel.

I have gotten several Julep boxes and they’ve all contained 3 items + a little piece of candy. This time I received two items – lipgloss and a primer. It’s possible that those two items are worth more than the usual three items, but it still seemed a bit off this month. And, it’s not like I get this box for the candy, but there wasn’t a piece of candy, either.

You get 2 polishes and 1 beauty item, 3 polishes, or 2 beauty items. Sometimes with the 3 polishes, you will get a sheet of nail decals or something. It has to do with the base prices of the items you’ve selected. The beauty items typically cost more than polishes, so you get fewer items in a box of all beauty items (which includes makeup AND skincare, or basically all the non-polish selections). It’s been that way for as long as I can remember.

My last couple of boxes haven’t included the candy, either!

I think the past 5-6 months or so of these Julep Maven boxes haven’t been very good. That is why I never subscribed. It just seems so expensive for small, boring items.

I loved this when I first subbed, about 5 months ago, and even bought some additional items. But now I’m growing bored of this box, which almost always happens with single-brand subs. I think I’m about done, but for anyone who’s never subbed to them before, you’ll have fun for a while.

I think Julep’s skincare items are great! My favorites are the cleansers, especially the cleansing stick reviewed above. If I have makeup on, I first use their oil cleanser to remove the MU, then follow with the cleansing stick. It works really well, leaving my face perfectly clean without drying my skin.

I am confused. Where is the free box coupon?

I see the rainbow 12 polish gift when you sign up with code the “polishgift”.

However, this 12 piece gift has been around for months. Has this sign bonus become a free box?
