We have FULL spoilers for the January 2018 Emma & Chloe box!

The featured designer this month is Vous Mademoiselle:

Born and raised in the North of France, this young and creative spirit is passionate about Architecture and Art Deco.

In her studio, she imagines and designs pieces full of character, imprinted with a French style.
Elegant and timeless jewelry pieces that seduce women of all ages.
Authentic as you, Miss!

1/ Hello Marine! Can you tell us a bit about the brand's roots? Where did you get the idea to create your brand?

When I was little, I spent my time exploring my mother's jewelry box. Each of her treasures gave a different look to her outfits. It fascinated me a lot. I made my first necklace with an old piece of 50 francs inherited from my great-grandfather. I did not want to have it lying at the bottom of a drawer ... It was my click and I started to become assiduous of the shops of pearls and other primers. My very first collections were born while I was still enrolled Environmental studies. I recently graduated in 2014 and decided that my professional life will finally be a creative adventure. So I created my own brand, You Mademoiselle, to fully embark in the world of jewelry.

2/ How would you describe the spirit of your creations?

The You Mademoiselle jewels have a very graphic spirit and a tinge of retro. They represent for me the final touch of a look. I imagine pieces full of character and French style, elegant and timeless.

3/ Is there a stone, a material, or a color that you prefer to work with?

For each piece of jewelry, I start with a raw brass base. It is then cut, engraved or shaped according to the drawings I imagined upstream. I also like to add touches of color to my collections which is done in resin materials. The search for color stories for new collections is always a stage where I have a lot of fun.

4/ Where do you get your inspiration?

I am very inspired by the Art Deco style and the architecture of old buildings. The glass roof of a museum, the structure of a station platform, the reliefs of a facade ... I watch the little details and reinterpret them in my own way to make them into graphic jewels with retro modern influences. Each collection is thought of as a story where the heroine invites you to travel. Which dress style do you think best enhance your creations?
Timeless, chic and feminine looks. A simple white blouse worn with high-waisted black pants, combined with a pretty jacket and a pair of powder-colored babies is the perfect look. French style!

5/ Your current jewel obsession?

The earrings below the lobe! Simple while bringing a touch of originality.7. The three pieces that you can’t live without?
My Alma lobe earrings, my darling necklace Ana that I put with all my outfits and a nice Ira ring to dress my fingers with style.

6/ You are based in Lille, but you can find your collections in several points of sale in France. Do you plan to open a shop exclusively for the You Mademoiselle brand?

This is a project that I hope to see happen one day! I would like to be able to create a space conceived as a modern cabinet of curiosity, with a retro decor inspired by the ‘20s. A creative place where you could discover other favorite brands, filled with books to refuel inspiration and also a small living room to meet and feel at home.

9/ What is your next challenge?

Develop new product lines with stationery and decoration. And why not, one day, a little line of ready-to-wear with classics from the women's wardrobe revisited with retro details.

10/ What jewelry advice would you give our customers?

Have fun! Mix pieces, accumulate them! Keep the same outfit but change your jewelry,  and you will feel like you have renewed your wardrobe

I got my box. Not that into it. Might be cute in the summer at the pool. I like the design but it really looks like a cheap, fake necklace. It’s strangely shiny.

I do not like this at all. My December box arrived EMPTY. I’m still waiting on the replacement because I liked the earrings.

Whew, it WAS pretty painful to read – maybe we are the only two that actually read it LOL

I like it. It is not the usual thing.

Ugh, again, something I would never wear. Time to cancel.

Usually I envy Emma and Chloe stuff, but this looks very similar to several other people they have, I just can’t get as excited as normal about it

Marion

I like this necklace, but it’s so similar to the October necklace that I’m disappointed.

Blake

That’s totally what I was thinking too! I think I like October better though.

Cute. This necklace is similiar in style and color to the earrings they offered in September.

sam

yeah it’s similar and unfortunately, I didn’t like it on as much as I thought I would.

Hmm, seems ok. I wonder when we will get rings though. It’s been mainly earrings and necklaces lately.

That interview insert is a jumbled mess. Maybe proofread before publishing?

Probably because she is from France and may not speak perfect for English for you. Sorry she doesn’t have the exact vocabulary you were looking for. If you don’t like , then unsubscribe!!! I’m so sick of these horrible comments on this site.

YES, IT’S AWFUL. HOW DO THEY GET AWAY WITH SELLING SUCH FLIMSY PIECES OF JEWELRY!!! Mine arrived today and it has kinks in it everywhere that won’t come out unless I break it, there are several spots that aren’t completely closed and so on.. The info card shows a value of $86… Umm, I think not!! It’s not even solid sterling silver.

Wendy

First of all I was not referring to the way she spoke. I literally meant it was jumbled up, as in numbering was off and some were inserted into another question. If you would have read it maybe you would have understood. And calm down, it’s not even that serious. Plus, that was not a horrible comment. I rarely comment on this site due to people like you who want to monitor and jump on people. Maybe you should think before you type, then maybe you would have know what I meant.

Jacki

I really like that the chain is unique and has some weight to it.

Thanks for pointing that out! The box was a big disappointment until I read your comment and realized I can just modify it and put something else in it.

Erica

How do u do that?

Rosemary

I want the necklace modeled by the designer!
