I skipped this month online as I love BF but this month was a miss for me. Unfortunately today I received shipping confirmation for the Feb box! I really can’t use any of this and am disappointed that their website failed me.

Looking forward to this box as I want to try the mask and am in need of something to help my weak nails.

Not excited for this box at all.
Think I’m gonna cancel for this month and rather resub in March.
Usually we get at least one big ticket item, but this box is just meh. And the January box was just the avene and the rest of the stuff was the free samples. Some of which even had not for sale printed on it so it’s the ones companies give out for free. I am not into paying for a box in which they put free samples in as fillers.
I don’t mind travel size or deluxe size, but straight up samples are killing me here…..

I usually like skincare stuff the best, but This month I’m most excited about trying the illuminator. I just looked at the ingredients for the AHA tonic and at first was pleased for another and lactic acid lotion, (great skincare ingredient), but then saw it’s full of citrus! Why? I’m an educated skin care consumer, and a nurse, citrus is Not good to leave on skin. This brand should know this. Why do they do it? Its mainly for fragrance despite what companies say, because there are far better antioxidants out there thast don’t have the risks (sensitivities: the more you use them, the more sensitive you can get, up ticking your immune response making you more disposed to develop things like contact and atopic dermatitis, irritation, inflammation, photosensitivity making free radicals worse, making hyperpigmentation worse, etc. Ask your dermatologist. I don’t know if I even want to gift this to someone. Anyway, enough about a pet peeve. the rest of the stuff is good, lol.

This will only be my second BF box. Nothing to make me start double guessing my choice just yet. I have only ever subscribed to boxycharm and that was for a year and a half. I now have a makeup collection that I really need to use up. I decided to switch it up and made the transition to BF. Hope this will be a year and a half love affair too. Coming here and reading comments on several beauty box threads I have learned what makes some people upset. I wish I could afford many monthly boxes. Not knocking anyone who can because I think that’s great if you can. Just lot’s of people on product overload and nothing excites them.

Jana

I’m with you! I get excited like it is a gift and be gracious! I would rather subscribe for the box and try new items than go out and buy 6 ‘larger than sample size’ items for $35. I love trying new stuff.

I like Manna Kadar, in fact I bought another one for my Mom. It’s a good product. I guess people just don’t want product overload but it’s definitely not bad

What’s wrong with Manna Kader? I hear people complain about MK and GlamGlow ALL the time. I subscribe to BoxyCharm, Ipsy, and Sephora for more than a year and have never received MK, and the two GlamGlow items were great. Can someone please explain the hate? I’m just curious.

Amanda

I don’t get it. I actually love the Manna Kadar liplocked lip stain. I bought the sampler pack from Ipsy. Love the nudes. I also really like the idea someone else said of mixing this with lotion in the summer on my legs and chest.

Nothing wrong with Manna Kadar. I personally like the product. The reason people sick of it because it was included in EVERY box multiple times. Enough is enough. I dont mine to receive it in $10 box, but when I pay $26, I want something different than MK.
Same thing happened to Smashbox primer. When it first came in boxes, people were eager to get it and swap for it. Now, it was included in every possible box, people just sick of it, even so it is a good primer. Nobody wants to pay money for the same product over and over.

Idk who in the world is complaining about glamglow, that’s a cult favorite in the beauty world (and very pricey).
Mk is seen A LOT in ipsy, birchbox, and other similar subs. I have gotten lots of mk products in the past and personally there isn’t a single one I have loved, or even kept.

This box is a miss for me. I’ll try most of it though. In over a year of subscribing, this is the first time in bummed about a beauty fix box.

Renee

I’ve subscribed for a couple years, and have had two subs for part of that time. I canceled February entirely. I’ll resub for March, but the mask is the only thing I would have used, the rest would have been swapped or gifted.

Ayesha

Exact same here. Thankfully I came here and saw the box so I cancelled for Feb. Will look and see how the march box shapes up and maybe resub based on that but I took beautyfix for the skin care, Boxy charm sorts me out with make up and having this sent to my country is a headache and a half, especially for products composed mainly of samples and stuff I won’t use and end up given away or used as a handcream in my purse.

Dana

Exactly what I’m feeling!

I totllay want this mask but NOW have to skip because of all the primers I use that Hourglass sample slays on my skin. This box or a full size primer so sadly skipping this month. I guess these boxes do what they should. I found a product that works and free full size primer in another box can not compensate. Bye BF for this month!

Reply ButtonReply

luckindeed

Which box has the full-size Hourglass primer?

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

I think that comment was referring to the full size Dr Brandt primer in Boxycharm and saying that because of the Hourglass sample that worked so well (I’ve gotten that in both my Allure and Sephora subs in the past 3 months), she chose to purchase a full size of it and skip BF for this month. At least that’s the way I read it………..

Tanya

I don’t see a hold or pause for this sub. Just optimize to cancel which seems so final! Dagnabbit budget!

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

I saw on my account the directions to skip or cancel but below that was only a box that toggled to cancel – it didn’t have a skip option. So I cancelled. Maybe they haven’t fully implemented the option on the site yet. I’ll probably subscribe again sometime.

Sheila

With my julep, fabfitfun and allure beauty thrills subscriptions coming soon, these spoilers made BeautyFix an easy skip this month. Hopefully, I will be back next month.

This box is consistently awesome for me because it fixates on skincare, I have received it for almost 6 months now. This has been the only box that I feel deflated on. Hopefully it gets better again next month, or I will cancel.

Reply ButtonReply

Angie

Same here! I agree with u 100% on the skincare! It used to be awesome just bc it was a skincare only box . Since December their boxes have started to have other stuff that isn’t skincare 😢 if it doesn’t improve imma do the same

Reply ButtonReply

Angie

WTH. Lol. Never heard of this brand. Since the theme is red carpet I guess it’s a great variety for red carpet ready. Only 3 skincare products, one nail, 1 hair and one makeup. Not bad variety 🤔

Candace

I’ve only ever subscribed to Boxycharm so thatnkfully I don’t have any crap from Manna Kadar, but I read a lot of reviews & I can see how people would be sick of getting this. I’ve never tried it nor do I want to. I won’t be subbing this box just because of that.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

All Mana Kadar products I’ve received in sample subs have been junk. I haven’t gotten a lip product yet, but their eye/face makeup is chalky and has zero pigment. There are only 2 liquid/cream highlighters I feel are any good (Cover FX drops and Hourglass Flash sticks). I was reading the comments to see if I’d like this box, but I think I’ll pass. Skincare is so specific and, in my experience, if you jump around too much you’re asking for problems. I’d rather just purchase my own and go for makeup subs………
