Customer service at Allure beauty box can definitely be better. As some have mentioned, they can be very friendly, they seem to give inaccurate or misleading information. I never received my January box, so around Jan 23 I began checking my email and account to see if there were issues. There were no email notifications, so I assumed the box was late. On Jan 26 I get an email saying I need to update my credit card, so I did, online. Then Jan 28 I get a letter in the mail saying my credit card would not process. I call CS to find out what’s going on and why I wasn’t notified sooner since I’m isuallybilled the second week of the month. , CS says she has no idea why I was never notified by email sooner, which always happens first. I could have resolved the issue sooner had I known.
I update my information again over the phone and Request my January box, which I as really excited about. CS says they sold out so I can’t get one. The rep said she would send me a full size masacara and lip gloss to make up for the Jan box Since they failed to notify me in a timely manner to avoid this issue. I was still disappointed about losing Jan box, but at least It wouldn’t be a total loss. I usually love their mascara brands. Today I got my “Free full size gifts” and it’s two full size Marc Jacobs lip glosses in colors I will never use (a purple tone and a creamy whitish pink tone), no mascara was included. I’m not even slightly impressed with the February box either. I have been a long time customer, but this experience is making me consider other beauty boxes.

I did the November deal with the 3 boxes + an Allure/Rue lala box. It arrived today.
The box lid said allure + Rue lala.
All samples except Laritzy lip pencil in Cabernet and Cargo Champagne stick.
The samples are: Klorane shampoo, Grande Lips plumper, Eyeko liner, Josie Maran body butter, Truffle Therapy toner, St. Topez tanner, LXMI creme, Sisley rose cream, dr. Brandt needles no more, Amika dry shampoo, Dermadoctor clay mask, Jurlique night cream, stress check breathe in roller, Wander lipstick mini in Barely There, and Orlando Pita play vinegar hair mask.
I received the regular December box about a week ago. I’m in WA State in case anyone was wondering.

Hi! I subscribed for Allures beauty thrills deal, can someone confirm we won’t receive the mystery gift because we’re getting the Beauty Thrills box?

SBR
I asked allure, and I got a “if the deal you signed up under has the mystery gift, you will get it”. Helpful? I don’t think so… i would contact them cause you should have at least gotten the December box. November sold out. I was a resub since they canceled my account to get the thrills deal, and I have only gotten the December box.

I’m asking because I haven’t received the Beauty box or my November box or any mystery gift.

Did you get the 3-month plan with a free thrills box? I did this offer, and while my monthly boxes have come fine, I still haven’t received the free thrills box.
It seems like depending on who you talk in CS either they don’t know the status of the thrills box, the boxes will be shipped in a week or two (but that’s been said each week for a few weeks now), or they’ve sold out which is why no boxes have been sent. Also, one CS reps appears to have offered a refund for the undelivered box or an alternative box. Who knows if the refund or alternative box will come through. While their CS is very friendly (on the phone anyway), it’s the follow-through that can be hard to come by sometimes.
I will probably unsubscribe after January. I like a couple products in the Feb/March, but not enough for the price. It’s not that it’s a bad value, but it’s just not in my budget every month to get products I don’t need or wouldn’t use. I still feel a little burnt from December, too, since it was less than the minimum promised value of $50. $15 over 12 months would be $180 dollars.

I haven’t either and feel pretty cheated as that’s the reason I resubbed with them. The 3 month sub is up and still no box.

Not me. I haven’t received the December Thrills box I ordered either.

I’m in the same boat as you. No thrills box from the BF deal, and no regular December thrills box either.

I don’t mind getting a foundation sample that doesn’t work for me because there will always be an item that’s not for me the samples of MUFE foundation are cheaper so it’s not like the whole box will be crap because they included a small sample of foundation. I’ve received a wet brush in a past Allure box and I’m sure it didn’t work for everyone too. It’s exactly what I’d expect from a beauty box that focuses on Allure’s editors choices and it works for me.
Subscription boxes are meant to bring joy and be fun but if their curation is stressing you out I bet you can find a box that suits your wants better and brings you a little joy when you open it. That’s just my opinion.

Liz can you reach out to Allure to find out how exactly they are including foundation products with absolutely no knowledge of the customers skin tone.

It seems like product waste for me. If the foundation range has like 20 shades hypothetically and they send 1 out, that means the product is just going to go into the trash for all the other people who fit in the 19 other shades.
I’m all for discovery and the gamble of getting items in subscription boxes, but that is a lot of unnecessary product waste.

Oh you mean the MUFE foundation, yeah I don’t know how that will work out, seems like a mess!

It’s a highlighter.

This Cle Hilighter looks like it is going to be beautiful. Like a subtle well pigmented product. I’m super Excited. I always have loved @Allure Beauty Box. The packaging itself is very well put. No complaints here. Also I am pretty sure that the MUF foundation comes in a small tube. Which will allow you to use it for two or 3 times. I have received from Sephora playbox which is one of my other favorite beauty box. I always get to use the products. Goes well with my skin tone. Love ❤️ 😍😘

Ladies, it’s $15 flipping dollars. The foundation isn’t going to work for everyone any more so than every shade of lipstick, blush, and eyeshadow, or every formulation of serum, moisturizer, and eyebrow cream, is going to work for everything. There’s always risk with subscription boxes. You’re not going to like everything. It’s $15. $15.

Totally agree! It’s a subscription box & therefore an inherent gamble. Even the subscription boxes that claim to use your beauty profile can get it wrong.

Laurel
Hopefully they announce the shade beforehand that way people can opt out if they don’t like the shade.

Couldn’t agree more! I love being able to get great brands at such a cheap price. I’m happy if just one item works out because often it covers the price of the box!

Liz, the eyeliner and close up cream are now listed as variants on the Allure box site. Just fyi.
Do they often do variants? This is twice since I subbed in November…

These are great spoilers. I’ve never tried a cushion foundation before so this will be fun though a full size in one shade is a bit risky.

It’s not a foundation, it’s a highliter. The makeup forever is a foundation in marches box. I’m excited to try the foundation. I got a small sample a few months ago in play, and couldn’t tell if i liked it or not, because there was not a lot in the tube. So I like I get to try it again. Where I live there isn’t a store like ULTA or sephora to ask for samples, so I have to go in “blind” online on shades, and brands…its really hit or miss, so since I can’t go into a store to get a few samples here and there of a foundation, I’m sure excited to be getting some. Even if the shade is off, (which I hope it’s not by much) I can still try the brand and formula and see if it works with my skin, so I LOVE they are doing foundation samples and I really wish that more sub boxes would send them out just for this reason.
There has to be other people out in the world that are like me, that don’t have a store you can go into and ask for foundation samples to try out before deciding on buying full sized. I can go on reviews, but everyone’s skin has different needs, and likes. And some of these foundations are pricey these days…plus picking out shades online when you have to guess by a color on the screen is always an adventure as well. So I hope other boxes will follow suit and attempt this as well a couple times a year!!

I totally agree with you!

February looks amazing to me! Will use all 4 of the spoiled items, and excited to try whatever we get from Youth to the People, too. Looks like great value from a $15 box!

I assume the MUFE foundation won’t be full size, but will be one of those sampler packets that have four or so shades in it. Aka it wont match most people. Although if we got to pick a shade and got full sizes that would be incredible! Sigh. A girl can dream.
I’m a little disappointed that the highlight for February is full size, because I was hoping for a full size Youth to the People product and that highly reduces the likelihood.

I was hoping to cut down on my subs this year and cancel Allure after this month, but how can I possibly do that with all these spoilers. I ended up canceling Sephora Play because the samples are way to tiny. Thank you, Liz!

Yikes, when are subs going to ease up on the highlighters? I must have 10 by now. I love Makeup Forever HD foundation stick, too bad that’s not in the box. It would be hard to do though since they have no profile on us.

Maybe I just have bad luck but the highlighters I get NEVER work for my skin tone. I’m VERY fair/borderline translucent with dark hair and all the highlighters I get seem to be “bronze” highlighters or peachy. Even this one, “nude” makes me feel like Its not going to work and I don’t wanna open/try a $30 highlighter just to throw it away. Id LOVE a pearly/soft pink one of these days!
Laurel Brockenberry
Does anyone know if we’ll be told the color of the foundation before we are billed? I’m pretty dark toned so I’m guaranteed it’s not going to be anywhere close to my tone. If the Laneige mask isn’t a decent size I’ll probably skip that month. 🙁

I still don’t understand how they are going to do foundation. I don’t remember ever filling out a profile that would tell them my skin tone. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: Update, didn’t realize you meant the March box, nevermind!
Pretty sure she means the MUFE foundation coming in March. I gotta say I’m wondering myself.
MzKayleeJames
I think she means the MUF foundation in March. I’ve heard that they’ve told people everyone is getting the same shade. They’re gonna get a lot of crap. I don’t like that foundation anyways so it’s going in the give away pile.
