Every month, your candle comes wrapped in a square of fabric, but for December we get these adorable snowflake bags!

Each box comes with an info card detailing the candles featured that month:

Now, on to the candles!

Broken Top Candle Company Blue Spruce Candle - Value $20?

This exact candle size, (8 ounces in a glass jar), isn't available on their site, so I'm estimating value.

This is a 8-ounce soy candle, with a burn time of 50 hours. The fragrance is a mix of Spruce, citrus, natural cedar wood and pine essential oils. It smells like winter and pine trees - I love it!

And with this subscription, you also get a 4-ounce mini candle:

Broken Top Candle Company Mt. Bachelor Candle - Value $10?

This candle is described as a "more gender-neutral scent." The fragrance is a blend of cardamom seed oil, clove leaf oil, amber, and vanilla. It doesn't strike me as a holiday scent but does seem perfect for winter.

And each Vella Box also comes with a little treat like a food or beauty item:

Godiva Milk Chocolate Caramel Candies (2) - Value $1.25

You can't go wrong including Godiva chocolate in a December box!

Verdict: This month's VellaBox has a value of about $31.25. I think the pricing is fair, and I like that the $30 option of this subscription gives you two different candle scents from a line so you can really get a sense of the company/brand.

Ok the blue spruce smelled great until you burn it!! No scent was in my room at all, you would not even know a candle was burning. This was the first month I was kind of disappointed :/

If I had to pay $30 and get $31.25 in value, I would just go to the store to get a scent I know I like.
