Trunk Club is a clothing styling service for both men and women. Subscribers work closely with their stylist to find a selection of pieces to try on at home, and they receive a trunk shortly thereafter. Trunks can be ordered as often as you like, so you can try it once, or have a trunk sent to you quarterly or monthly. Or even more frequently!
Trunk Club is a Nordstrom company, and they send similar brands that range in the $75-300 range. In the style profile, you can choose your preferred price range for each category (ie. $50-100, $100-200, or $200+)

So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works: when I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected several items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items! This month I decided to try everything she selected.
This packet was included in my trunk. The printed materials got a makeover!
The new front of the enclosed booklet now has instructions!
Inside is a note from my stylist, Rebecca. She is so friendly and accessible! She explains a bit about why she chose the items she picked for me.
This is my invoice. It lists the items I was sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep.
These items were also in the packet. When I've finished repackaging the items I don't want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!
Long Link Necklace by Treasure & Bond - Cost to keep $39
This is a first! I have never received jewelry in my Trunk before! Fun! This necklace is totally my style, too. I have necklaces that have "fringe" pendants, but none in silver, and none on such a long chain! I love the chain link pattern, too. (Please see below for pictures of me wearing this with the other items I received.)
V-Neck Asymmetrical Dress by Michel Studio - Cost to keep $95
What a funky dress! I love all things funky. This viscose blend dress has a little shimmer thanks to the hip patch, and the ruching on the sleeves is also a fun detail. It makes it stand out from regular black dresses. I think the cut is cool, too. It would be perfect for New Year's Eve!
Glamorous Velvet Midi Wrap Dress by Glamorous - Cost to keep $119
I love the color of this dress! I wish I was taller so this would actually be a midi dress, but as it stands (or as I stand), it's an awkward length. It's also a little big in general and ends up looking a bit like a bathrobe on me. It has a super luxe feel, though, and would be worth the price if it fit better.
Mixed Print Peasant Top by NYJD - Cost to keep $98
For the first time ever, I received a piece from NYJD that fits well and that I really like! I like the colors and pattern, and I LOVE the neckline! I am not usually a fan of tops with "yokes," but this one really works. I just wish it wasn't polyester, and I wish it wasn't so spendy!
Crafted Floral Fringe Scarf by Treasure & Bond - Cost to keep $55 (not on Nordstrom's website)
This is a really pretty acrylic scarf, and it seems well made and of a high quality. It also works well with my overall style, but for some reason, I'm just not in love with it. I guess it's just not my favorite palette.
Empire Waist Floral Print Dress by Glamorous - Cost to keep $89
It seems odd to get a short sleeved dress this time of year, but I think the print is perfect for winter! It's so unusual! This dress is a 100% lightweight crepe polyester, and I really like the cut and the fit a lot! It also seems well made. I like the way it feels and looks on me, too.
Long Cozy Two Pocket Side Slit Cardigan by Sejour - Cost to keep $59 (not on Nordstrom's website)
The cardigan totally makes the dress! These two pieces were made for each other! I absolutely LOVE this cardigan! I have about a million different things to wear it with, too. It's a very soft but thick jersey knit, and I love the way it feels. It's nice and cozy, and I also like the way it looks!
Embroidered Bell Sleeve Top by Caslon - Cost to keep $79
I do love unusual pieces, but I think this one might be a little outside my comfort zone. I don't think I can get behind stripes and embroidery together with attached bell sleeves. I appreciate what they were going for with this cotton blouse, but it's just not for me.
Lace Yoke Blouse by Sejour - Cost to keep $79 (on sale for $52.93!)
This top is so pretty! I love delicate, feminine white blouses, and this one is super delicate! I also love bell sleeves that just gradually flare (as opposed to being attached). The stylish details on this polyester blouse are understated and gorgeous, like the tie at the neck. I love it!
The Verdict: I am a big fan of Trunk Club! This month there were a lot of hits! I think my new stylist is finally getting a good grasp of my style. I love the lace blouse and the printed dress with the cardigan, those were definitely my favorites. I think Trunk Club is a little on the spendy side, but it's still loads of fun to try all the pieces!
