November 2017 Marvel Gear + Goods Review
The November shipment featured all things Thor – which was intended to line up with the November release of Thor: Ragnarok, but all boxes were delayed until December.
It comes with an information card that detail the items in the box.
On the reverse side, you’ll notice that you’ll be getting digital issue #1 of Thor: God of Thunder from Comixolgy as part of the shipment as well!
This box inverted if you were looking to gift it – smart idea!
Thor: God of Thunder #1 Enamel Pin – Value $5-10?
To go along with that digital comic that will be coming to your inbox – you’ll also get an enamel pin version of the front cover. These are really high-quality enamel pins – and are bigger than pins you’ll receive in the core crate – this one is 2 inches tall and super glossy.
Asgardians Holiday Long-Sleeved Shirt – Value $20?
If you subscribed to the November Loot Socks shipment, then you’ll have a matching shirt for the holidays as well!
This is a 100% cotton long-sleeved shirt featuring Hela, Thor, and Loki in that holiday sweater-like design – and I love the use of the Bifrost Bridge!
Mjolnir Glass – Value $10-15?
One of the spoiled items was this Mjolnir mug with a pewter hammer.
Mine, unfortunately, arrived detached from the glass and was unable to be fully stuck back on without falling off. Customer service is happily replacing it – but it’s a 4-6 week wait time.
It will be one of my favorite items from the box once I get one that isn’t a defect.
Snack Tray Set – Value $20+?
Most of the item in this delivery pair nicely with hosting a holiday party – none more than this snack tray set.
The large tray measures 12.5 x 6 inches and the bowl measures about 6 x 5.5 inches for snacking. These are dishwasher safe, but not microwave safe.
I’m happy that they’ve got one item featuring Jane Foster’s Thor as well!
Thor/Loki/Hela Cookie Cutter Set – Value $15?
The final item in this shipment gets you ready for some geeky cookies to include on your tray with Thor-themed cookie cutters.
These are neither dishwasher or microwave safe – but come with good care instructions and fun decoration details on the packaging!
Verdict: Once again, I really like the items and designs in the box, but am left frustrated by all of the shipping delays that seem to consistently pop up! There’s definite value for Thor fans in the November box, but I have my fingers crossed that they’ll sort out the shipping issues in 2018 – like I’ve said before, I can only recommend subscribing if you’re ok with the possibility that it will arrive later than the original date.
