Korean Snacks Box December 2017 Review
This card describes the products in your box, super helpful when navigating each snack. This December box is all about staying warm and cozy with delicious snacks for the season!
Now let’s take a look at what’s inside!
Lotte Ghana Cacao Chocolate – Retail Value $9.18
This chocolate bar is made with cacao, best known for providing energy and boosting your immune system. There was nothing about this bar that screamed healthy to me, it was rich and delicious! The chocolate just melted in your mouth and had a light sweetness. This bar was extra big so it was great to share the joy!
Chicchoc Chocolate Chip Cookie – Buy a box for $3.79
Nothing fancy here, just a truly delicious chocolate chip cookie. The cookie itself was soft yet crumbly. The chocolate provided that yummy sweetness that makes a chocolate chip cookie so special. I could have eaten a whole box of these!
Chaltteok Pie – Buy a box for $3.10, currently out of stock
If you can believe it, this is a rice cake! The rice cake is made into what tasted like jelly and had a sweet yet chewy texture. The outer coating of chocolate was very thin and paired nicely with the overall sweetness of the rice cake. This was a very interesting snack to try, but I just couldn’t get over the texture of the center.
Hotbreak Mini – Retail Value $0.50?
This little chocolate bar reminded me of Halloween candy! It was the perfect bite size that is great if you just want something sweet fast. The center was creamy with bits of nuts, similar to a Snickers. So yummy!
Hotbreak Mini – Retail Value $0.50?
This was another mini chocolate bar that was somewhat like a Snickers bar, but more like a PayDay. There were a lot more nuts in this one! I loved tasting this deliciously sweet chocolate bar, but I could have eaten a whole bag of these!
Green Tea, 4 bags – Buy 100 bags for $7.69
With the cold weather, you want to stay warm and cozy! What better way to do so than with a warm cup of tea. This green tea blend was so great to enjoy after coming inside from playing in the snow with my son. I added a bit of honey for some extra sweetness. This is always great to drink on its own though to get all of the health benefits that green tea has to offer!
Lotte Margaret Cookie – Buy an 8.04 oz. box for $10.99
These cookies were incredible! I got two bags that were chocolate and then coconut. Each cookie is so soft with a hollow center that is filled with a yummy cream. The chocolate cookie filling was my favorite with a sweet icing like center. I am not a fan of coconut so I decided to share the second bag with my Mom who absolutely loved this little treat!
Hooraenchi Pie – Retail Value $2.00?
This little cookie was so light and crumbly! It tasted very similar to a danish without any filling. There was an incredible coating of sugar over the top that made this so sweet. This is the type of pastry that I love and it was great to eat with a warm cup of coffee. I think this was my favorite snack of the month!
Lotte Farm On The Road – Buy a box for $2.77
This little cookie was so cute with its drizzling of chocolate. The cookie itself was on the harder side that crumbled with every bite. The bottom chocolate layer was very sweet and creamy which was a nice combination of the texture of the cookie. Nothing too crazy with this snack, just a really yummy cookie!
Hooraenchi Pie, 2 flavors – Retail Value $4.00?
The December box came with a few extras of certain snacks including the Hooraenchi Pies! These two packets were strawberry and apple flavors. Again, these resemble a danish, which I loved! I ate one of these for breakfast and it was perfection. I loved this snack so it was great to receive extras this month!
Milkeu Caramel – Retail Value $4.45? (Price estimate based on similar item)
I love caramel bites so much, which is funny because I would never try one when I was a kid. This box came with individually wrapped caramels that are perfect to share with friends or to grab a few on the go. Each caramel is so milky and sweet. A lovely snack to enjoy this season!
Chocoheim, 3 packets – Buy a 10 oz. box for $6.45
These wafer cookies were so delicious! Each little cookie is rounded to fill a yummy cream filling. After looking into this brand, it looks like there are so many different flavors you can purchase. My favorite was the white hazelnut because it was so rich and creamy with that yummy nut flavor. This is a treat I could see myself snacking on with a cup of coffee in the morning.
Verdict: This December Korean Snacks Box was such a delight! There were a lot of items this month which allowed me to taste different flavors of certain snacks. This box was meant to help you ring in the cold weather, and I can safely say that each snack was something that I could enjoy with a warm cup of coffee or tea. Since I received so many snacks this month, I was able to share many with some friends that love taste testing unique snacks as much as I do!
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, you will get the January box.
Value Breakdown: The monthly cost of this box comes in at $25.95, which averages out to around $1.80 per item (counting the tea bags as one item). This December box had a good amount of items so there were a few duplicates that you don’t get every month. Many of the snacks were harder to find online to purchase as a single item, but overall from what I was able to find, I think the value is totally worth the monthly cost!
