Navy Blue Peacoat on model

Brushed Peacoat, size S – Retail Price $77.95 (VIP Price: $54.95)

I’ve been searching for a navy blue peacoat and was intrigued by this style when I was perusing options for my November pick. This style is knee length with an A-line silhouette with double-breasted gold buttons and epaulets.

I really like the military-inspired look, but found this coat to run large. Unfortunately, it is completely sold out in sizes XS-3X otherwise I would exchange it for one size smaller. Normally when an item I love is sold out, I will just make the ill-fit work, but this time that’s not possible. I’m 5’4″ and the hem falls below my knees, coupled with the fact that the brushed polyester/nylon blended fabric is really thick with a stiff hand feel, so no matter what, it just feels really oversized. This would take some serious tailoring, but I think returning it altogether might be a better idea.

Here’s a look at the side and back of this coat to get an idea of the silhouette. In the correct size, this item would be a total winner!

Open Navy Blue Peacoat on model

Worn open, I don’t feel like I’m being swallowed by this coat! It is perfect for crisp fall nights, but since it’s only lined in a basic polyester fabric, I don’t suggest this as a heavy winter coat option.

Cozy Checkered Scarf – Retail Price $29.95 (VIP Price $19.95. Currently on sale for $13.97)

And what better to pair with the coat, is this plush oversized blanket scarf?! It is made from 50% polyester and 50% acrylic and is knitted with soft blues, tans, reds, and cream. I like the color-blocked plaid look, balanced with the navy coat. The scarf is approximately 72″ long and 18″ wide so I can definitely tie it a myriad of ways and feel super cozy wearing it. If this color palette is not your favorite, it also comes in mint green and cream plaid.

Verdict: I liked this month’s picks but a bit bummed the coat is too big and unable to be exchanged. I have found JustFab‘s tops and bottoms to run large, and it looks to be the same for outerwear. In the future, I will likely size down regardless of what clothing item I’m ordering (shoes seem to run true to size). Both items were good quality compared to their retail and VIP prices. I purchased this order during their Cyber Monday sale, so for $52.44 this month, I received two items, which average $26.22 per item. That’s on par for what I would pay for a blanket scarf, and a great deal for a quality coat!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The box you receive depends on what you pick! The coat is currently sold out in all sizes, but the scarf is stil available!

Coupon – Get your first style for $10.00! No code need, just use this link!

Value Breakdown: The retail prices for both options was $107.90, and a VIP total of $74.90, but I paid $52.44 during the Cyber Monday sale (including free shipping). That’s an average of $26.22 per item and a savings of about 51%! Normally, it would be a VIP savings of about 31%.

  1. That coat is incredible and looks great on you, even with the sizing issues! I can’t imagine how good it would look if it was the right length.

  2. In the beginning of the review you mention this top costs $30! Just a heads up! I got really excited lol
