Facetory SEVEN LUX December 2017 Review
The monthly information card outlines each mask from the box! There is a little description so you know what mask is best to use when and instructions on how to use as well. I have always found this to be super helpful!
This soothing gel mask is just what I needed this month! The mask is like jelly containing aloe vera, bamboo, and cucumber. I loved the scent of this mask, it was so fresh and calming. With so many cooling ingredients, this mask is meant to cool down any irritations from the sun or the cold winter weather. I am prone to dry skin, but it gets even worse in the winter. I used this mask at night for extra hydration, and the incredible smell of the mask helped me wind down for bed. I woke to glowing skin, and I experienced a great exfoliation when I washed with my usual face wash – a huge plus in my book!
Medius SOS Water Balm Brightening Mask – Listed Value $4.50
Give me all of the hydrating masks! Again, my skin gets so incredibly dry this time of year so I was excited to read that this mask provides a “quick hydra effect” from the “SOS water balm formula.” Other ingredients include glutathione, hyaluronic acid, damask rose extract and pearl extract which are all meant to hydrate and brighten. I used this mask before bed as recommended on the monthly card. The mask itself didn’t have a strong scent, and I must say it adhered really well to my face to the point that I almost forgot I had a mask on! I kept it on a bit longer just to really take in all of that hydration, and woke to glowing skin that I am still seeing days later.
DerFill Collagen Real Juice Ampoule Mask – Retail Value $3.99, Listed Value $4.00
If you have been following my Facetory reviews you will know that I sometimes will share my masks with my Mom or husband. Well, my Mom is constantly asking when my next box is coming so she can look through now! Once she saw this mask on the monthly card she claimed it as her own, and I am always happy to share of course. This is a collagen mask that is filled with grapefruit extract and hydrolyzed collagen, all meant to prevent wrinkles to give you youthful looking skin. My Mom said that this mask was a miracle worker! She used it at night and woke to some amazing hydration. She said her face felt fuller and her more wrinkled areas like under her eyes were tight in a good way. I might just have to try this one on my own!
The main ingredient in this mask is centella asiatica which is meant to treat scarring and hyperpigmentation and provides a protective layer to your skin that adds plumpness and moisture. So this is really great to use during the winter months to help protect it against the harsh winds and cold! The 3-Calming Complex that makes this mask so unique provides your skin with panthenol, madecassoside, and allantoin. This mask is the real deal everyone! I used it in the morning on a day I knew I wouldn’t really be leaving the house. I let the mask do its thing and then went makeup-free for the day. My skin did have some burning and slight redness, but overall I felt a tightness almost immediately. My skin looked refreshed and I noticed a difference that evening with how well my moisturizer went on. I would love to use this mask once a month to really soak in the protective ingredients.
Lyajin Yun Mask – Listed Value $4.00
Another hydrating mask, plus it has some lovely festive ingredients like peppermint, sage, and lavender. Chitosan is the main ingredient in this mask that works to let your skin absorb the watery serum, and then it cleanses the skin of any unwanted bacteria. I had a random string of breakouts over the past few weeks, too many cookies, and decided to use this mask the other evening when one was particularly bad. The mask was fresh and stuck to my skin very nicely. I noticed a tightness right away that tingled a bit which I hoped meant it was fighting off all of the build-up on my skin. Once I removed the mask, I rubbed the excess serum in and went straight to sleep. I woke up to incredibly hydrated skin that was super bright with only a slight redness. My skin felt moisturized and still a bit tight, but overall I felt like my skin looked more alive. This mask was incredible!
MediHeal Cica:Ming Mask – Listed Value $4.00
This gel mask is unique because it is made with hemp and has an herbal scent to it. I don’t think I have ever seen a hemp face mask before! The main ingredients for this one are tea tree, witch hazel, chamomile flower, and centella asiatica extract. All of the ingredients are extra calming and meant to focus on any trouble areas your skin might be having. My husband is prone to some light breakouts so I knew this mask was for him. He used it in the morning and loved the super fresh scent. He said it was like having lemonade on his face. The jelly-like mask was super easy to put on and stayed in place really well. I noticed that he has been dry lately, but once he removed the mask his skin was glowing! He looked super hydrated and bright, and he said it helped to calm some of the trouble areas on his chin.
BanoBagi Skin Renew Program Revitalizing Mask – Listed Value $7.00
Our last mask for the month is a multi-step, my favorite! The packet comes with two masks, one for your eye area and one for the lower half of your face. The upper mask contains adenosine which prevents wrinkles, great to put on your eyes, and nourishes your skin. The lower mask is meant to lift your skin through collagen. Ingredients for this part of the mask include hydrolyzed elastin, hydrolyzed collagen, corn protein, wheat protein, and soy protein which help to moisturize your skin. This was another mask that my Mom asked to use, and I was happy to share again! She said that the mask itself smelled incredibly fresh and made her extra relaxed. She said, again, she woke up in the morning to very full skin in her trouble areas. She noticed that her neck and chin area looked fuller as well and felt a strong tightness. Another miracle mask!
Verdict: This month’s Facetory was everything I needed! There were so many masks that were focused on extreme hydration, which I need this time of year. I am also loving how many masks lately have been focused on collagen. Even though my mom has been taking those, Hi Mom, it has been so much fun to share these masks with her each month. That is what is so great about receiving 7 masks, there are plenty to go around. I honestly don’t know what I would do without Facetory, each mask is the quick fix that I usually need week after week for my skin.

Value Breakdown: This box is $19.90 a month when factoring in the cost of shipping. The average price per item for the seven masks comes to $2.84. Each mask is so unique and provides such a great skin experience that for me, the value is in the quality of these masks and the ingredients. When you look at the price and purchasing online, you can also see that the value is totally worth the monthly cost of this box!
