I hope I get off the waiting list! I got a message saying I should have come off in Dec but they couldn’t bill my account. All my info was correct so I don’t know what the issue was. Grrrrr.

Anna

I was on the waitlist for about 2 months…You will receive an order receipt once you are off…

Yes that just happened to me, they said to update my account and hopefully it will go through the next time but they cant promise I will get off. See email below: So ridiculous, they used to try each day until it went through, now if it doesn’t they skip you and it starts again.

Thank you for contacting Boxycharm! Please note, if your payment ever fails on the 2nd of the month when your renewal is due, the system will continue to charge you for your renewal each day until a payment is made, we no longer have stock of this month’s box, or you cancel your account. Therefore, if you wish to receive a box all you would need to do is add funds to your card so that the automated renewal system can charge you for your recurring subscription. We hope this helps! Have a charming day! <3

That happened to my friend too. She was a subscriber and then she canceled and re subscribed in November and they sent her an email saying they couldn’t bill her and they would try again in 24-48 hours and then they sent her an email saying they canceled her subscription and she has to go through the whole process again. I don’t know what’s going on with boxycharm lately. I hope that doesn’t happen to you.

Vita

Same with me! I was off the wait list in October, but they could charge me just now!

Jay

The 2 blue shades and the 2 greenish gold shades look awful similar.. But its NOT a neutral palette so I’m excited!! Cant wait for January! Between the 2 palettes and the Dr Brandts primer, I’m so stoked!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Kushi

Isn’t crown just morphe? Isn’t that the brand that does the cheap private labeling? Not excited

Reply ButtonReply

I believe Beaute Basics is Crown. If I remember correctly, Ipsy sent out Crown brushes one month but some ppl’s brushes had Beaute Basics on it. There was a big stink about it on their FB page and Ipsy said that they are made by Crown.

Jackie

I think we are also getting a Dr Brandt pores no more illuminating primer next month. Yosef posted a picture on IG and a girl commented that it looks like that product and he commented back “you’re good” so I’m thinking thats what it is!

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

If that is true, I will not be cancelling my Boxycharm next month. That primer is amazing! I got a sample of it once from Sephora and it illuminates the skin and makes my makeup wear beautifully. Not really a great pore filler, but its a beautiful illuminating primer! I was going to cancel since I am not excited about that eyeshadow palette, but I am going to hang on now lol.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

I was going to cancel as well, but I’m hanging on for that primer because I’ve heard a lot of great reviews on it! Hoping the rest of the box is going to bring in the new year with a bang!

Kim

Cool – not normally colors I would wear but there’s something really interesting about it, I don’t have anything else like it!

As for the face palette I really hope its the recent cover fx one! when they were doing the limited box and coverfx has posted about their collab they prominently showed their face palette but then it ended up being the enhancer drops so I can dream this will be in there!

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

It’s a face palette by crown. He says boxycharm is launching both palettescwith crown. You can see the outside of the face palette in the background. Same packaging.

Reply ButtonReply

Cheyenne

I think the palette in the background you are seeing is the eyeshadow palette.

Candace

I won’t use this personally but I will Depot it and put it in one of my kit palettes. That’s the main reason I signed up for Boxycharm in the first place but so far I’ve ended up keeping back a lot of stuff for personal use. I should be ashamed of myself but somehow I’m not 😋

Reply ButtonReply

Krista

What does it mean to “depot it”?

Reply ButtonReply

Yesi

When are they going to stop giving eye shadow palettes in every single box and start give something different? 🙄

Reply ButtonReply

Alex

Oooh I love metallics. I’d love to see a foil shadow palette in the future. Love Boxycharm

Reply ButtonReply

LoriD

I’m so excited for January’s box now with both pallets!! They’re getting better and better! ❤️ 🤗 ❤️ I’m not giving up boxy even though I am giving up glossy after this month cuz it’s my last $10 box. Gave up a few others but keeping boxy, Allure and Ipsy… They’ve been doing great for me lately ✨💖😊😍

Can’t wait to get my December box && can’t wait for the rest of January spoilers I live for boxycharm!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Kimberly

Why do they send us face palettes? They can’t possibly make one to satisfy the rainbow of skin tones their subscribers have.

Reply ButtonReply

Alex

I hope it’s not contouring. Maybe a highlighter palette but I agree that it’s nit going to work for every skin tone.

I’m happy to see some shimmer/metallic in there. My makeup mantra, for at least the next year, is No More Nudes! I want color and fun. I’m curious about the “face palette”.

Someone mentioned parabens. These shadows do have parabens. I don’t want to sound like a jerk in saying this, but if we want harmless makeup we need to go all-natural or organic. The phenoxyethanol, sodium benzoate, etc. that replaced parabens is not safer. I’m only bringing that up to put some info out there. We need to be vigilant and research ingredients but if we’re using commercially made cosmetics we are putting lab-origin synthetic preservatives, stabilizers, and such on ourselves. If we were to make our own cosmetics at home we would need preservatives, or make very small batches at a time. This is a thorn in my side. I have recently returned to using mass commercially produced cosmetics after using only organic or all-natural for several years. It is a choice we make.

Another member asked whether or not these cosmetics are cruelty free. I do not believe they are. This belief is my personal feeling based on what I see, and do not see, on their website. I do wish Boxycharm would commit to cruelty-free only. I wish they all would.

Melody

Breath of fresh air.

Reply ButtonReply

WB

Crown is on the cruelty free lists and seem adamant that no animals are harmed for their brushes. That being said, I checked their site and they ship to China so unfortunately the same can’t be said about their cosmetics. Makes me so sad that these companies won’t refuse to sell there until the laws change.

Reply ButtonReply

Rosemary

RoguesEn3D Your comments hit home for me. I especially want cruelty free products. There is absolutely no sense in testing on animals these days, as tissue culture tests are more accurate and effective. There is no need to torture live animals.

Reply ButtonReply

Leslie

oh please “organic” makeup is a bunch of bologna. i wish people would do their research on things like this,

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

Natural doesn’t mean good for skin either. Many natural ingredients are irritating for skin.

Reply ButtonReply

Christy

Translation: everyone thought the December box was lame so we spoiled a January palette so people wouldn’t cancel.

Reply ButtonReply

Soleil

Precisely.

Reply ButtonReply

April

Exactly! Consider the cluster-F of the limited edition box and how many people were hacked off, they really should have stepped up their game for the December box!

Reply ButtonReply

Christine

Word. I also wish they wouldn’t try to flood this website with “updates” and act more like the other beauty boxes. Desperate much Boxy?

Reply ButtonReply

ashley shen

hahahahahaha im dying!!! this is hilarious but so true!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Dianne

I’m getting December’s box and then I’m going to cancel. I’m spending to much on makeup. If I stop buying extra makeup I could save 100 dollars a month.

Reply ButtonReply

lor

boxycharm is only $21 for 4/5 full sized retail items , stop buying makeup anywhere else and just keep boxycharm , you’ll save lots with full sized makeup products

Reply ButtonReply

Rain

Or, you know, use the $21 on cosmetics you’ll probably actually use.
Don’t get me wrong, some months BC hits it out of the park but, more often than not, boxes fall short. You may end up with an item [maybe two] that you like but, then have 3-4 full size products taking up vanity space. That’s kind of a big trade off for ‘value’. And $21/mo builds up, especially if you end up not liking / using what you get [yes, yes, swaps – not everyone has the energy for that].

I cancelled my subscription. After the LE fiasco and generally not feeling any joy with December spoilers, it was time. January seems to be shaping up as another lackluster [to me] box.

Sam

Anyone know if crown is cruelty free?

Reply ButtonReply

Tanya

Thank you Boxy!! Guess budget wise I will have to plow thru January. I was down to Boxy and beautyfix but now with allure popping this month and January, that’s three! With all the deals on past boxes I have five this month and 4 going out to others!!! I am almost out of a color palette from Estée Lauder I was using. The shimmery browns work on my skin for day! On plus side, I hardly eat lunch out since I spend here!

Reply ButtonReply

bmcd3713

I think I just may be maxing out these days (save for skin care). I don’t ‘need’ a bunch of eyeshadow palettes, but DO need practical shadows that I can use daily, So called face palettes are still welcome even though…

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

That spoiler looks great compared to December’s box!!

Reply ButtonReply

Dawnn

excited already! LOVE these colors!! Boxy never disappoints me

Reply ButtonReply

ppzhang

I like the palettes, very out of my comfort zone (which is exactly what I want from subscriptions). I might have to find new space to store palettes…

Reply ButtonReply

Bee

This is beautiful I cancelled before I got charged for December. I’m taking a break I want through the last few months and realized I was getting rid of most of the things I was receiving. Now someone excited for the box van have the spot.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

I think I may sit this one out. I feel like I’m on overload lately with shadows (is that possible?!) I always love boxy but it sucks to get back on that waitlist when you want back in.

Reply ButtonReply

lesli

for real, thats where I am at. youd think they would maybe let you ‘pause’ your account, that would be nice! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

Oh ya!!! I am so excited to get 2 palettes in one box!!! What a great start to the new year!!! I’m not too excited for December’s box, but I really can’t complain for $21 bucks it’s still a decent deal. But I really can’t wait for January!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Melody

I can see why a lot of people really like this palette! It looks gorgeous.. . Just not my colors. A little too dark for me.
