They forgot my candle and the oil spilled everywhere too and they confirmed I ordered in early and on time. They are shipping me out what I’m missing. Make sure to message their customer service team ASAP!

I contacted BOS customer service, they cancelled my pending subscription and I was able to get my voucher to go through. The rep also confirmed that I would receive the candle.

I subscribe to several boxes and have for a very long time. Nothing frustrated me mote than paying full price for yearly subscriptions only to see these deep discounts of which I cannot benefit. Ready to drop a few regular longtime subs.

“pending ” status update: you need to take action. I emailed customer service 11/28 in the am. They just got back to me and asked for my code. I sent a copy of the voucher. Then they cancelled the sub that was having trouble. I got an email in 3 minutes telling me I could try again. No problem this time. It went right through and I got a confirmation instantly. No mention of the candle

I hate that there was no way to see whether you made it in the 600 first people or not… what stops the company from not sending out any candles at all? Sorry been burned quite a few times by boxes lately that promised certain values and didn’t deliver or certain amount of items and then conveniently forgot to add an item to the box. I wish I read the fine print first. Still at steal at $60 even without the candle but one I’m not going to go into again.

I think the way it works is if there’s a promised “first XXX to receive X free gift with purchase” then it goes in order of the number of vouchers purchased.

So if you were in the first 600 vouchers purchased when this launched, I think those are the 600 who will receive the free gift offer.

This is the fair way to do it, since there is always an obvious and unpredictable time delay from the time you purchase the deal on Gilt (or wherever) to when you actually receive the order processed/voucher code confirmation email, to when you can then actually log on to make the purchase.

If the 600 free gift redemptions were done by the RZ site, it wouldn’t be fair to the people who purchased this specific deal via Gilt, because the purchase and enticement of a gift to the first 600 and the power to then distribute the code needed to make the purchase go thru, is all in the power of Gilt City.

Not the consumers fault for any lag and turnaround time in receiving the actual voucher code email OR any lag or difficulties encountered in processing on The Zoe Report site.

The current incentive on the BOS site is for the $20 off, the candle offer was (from what I’ve seen and read- though please let me know if I’m wrong) exclusive to the Gilt City deal.

I would suggest to maybe check your Gilt City offer cert # and maybe if there’s a sequencing, then that may hold some kind of indication of who the first 600 were and who’s getting the candle. (The same could apply to your BOS order number, but referencing the above logic of how they should fairly determine the 600 candle recipients, I’m not sure that would be as helpful).

I reached out to BOTH companies for clarification because I have had trouble making mine go thru and spent too much time trying to figure it out, with only “Pending” showing. And I still haven’t heard back.

TLDR: ALL THIS FOR A FREE FREAKING CANDLE? I may have hit rock bottom, lol. I really should just go to Marshalls and buy a dang candle for $7.00… SMDH. (lol)

I don’t think I got the candle. Her site almost would not let me create a new account but I bet the site was being flooded with orders.

Now I realized I made a huge mistake. Never again do this! Especially for a freaking candle!

I usually avoid this box because of the frequency of including leather goods (I know many covet leather, but for me it’s the opposite). This box and inclusion of a cruelty-free product is great! Got in pretty early so hoping for the candle, though it’s not mentioned in the RZ email.

Anyone get it to work successfully? I tried applying the voucher on the BOS site with a new email and got the message “there is an error, please try again later.” However in my account it shows the subscription as pending.

Same. I sent an email to cs. Maybe they are stuck verifying the vouchers? I did try again a few times. Looks like 1 subscription was started and 1 winter box has been paid for pending verification. No mention of the candle. Perhaps that’s the issue. Only 700 vouchers contain the candle? It’s confusing to be sure.

Great promo! But as an annual subscriber I definitely don’t need two of these boxes. The earrings and scarf are such a specific style I don’t know that I could gift them. I am for sure not renewing my annual…the seasonal discounts are so good that I feel like I’ve wasted money since there’s no benefit to signing up for the full year.

I think that RZ sends a confirmation and then you should know whether or not you got the candle. I did not see a choice anywhere so we shall see.

I will sell the clutch, planner, stole and earrings.

I want to keep the eyeliner and the face oil though.

I have really gotten into candles!

This is such a great deal but every time I think about the hassle of canceling this box afterward, I’m like ” do I really want to go through those hassles ?”. Seriously, while I really like the box, their customer services are just as bad as glossy box. If they don’t want to check emails for people canceling their boxes, why don’t they make it easy, like Ipsy or Boxy charm. One click then done and done. Boo ! If their customer services are better, I would have jumped to this deal already.

I canceled after after the fall box with just one email. A couple days after I sent it, I got a confirmation. I’ve heard about their spotty customer service but haven’t experienced it.

This is such a good deal but this box is not for me. I’m way too casual to use most of it.

I cancelled, and they confirmed, but then they charged me and shipped the box anyway. I did get a refund and I sent them the box back but I don’t want that hassle again. This is a tempting deal but thanks to their cancellation policy, it’s an easy pass.

I was worried about that too, since I was subscribed and decided the winter box wasn’t for me, and wanted to cancel. I emailed them Nov 10, and Nov 14, I received a response letting me know my account was cancelled. So it was very easy. They make it clear that you must email them by a certain time on Nov 15, so as long as you do that, the onus is on them IMO.
