The box came with a small folder containing an itemized price list. The list showed the retail price as well as the discounted price it will cost you to keep that item. My son is signed up as “preppy” so his articles of clothing may be very different from what you receive based on your style selection.
A mailer envelope was included to mail back any items you don’t wish to keep. Shipping both ways is entirely free.
Long Sleeve Raglan Softest Tee – Retail $12.99 (Superbox Price $8.59)
This raglan sleeve tee comes in many other color options but we really like the white and blue. It’s a cotton/poly blend and has a medium weight to it. It’s soft with some stretch.
Pizza Print Long Sleeve Softest Tee – Retail $12.99 (Superbox Price $8.59)
This pizza tee is easily my son’s favorite item in the box. The navy blue tee is 60% cotton and 40% polyester so I’m a little concerned how it may pill up in the washer and dryer, but we had to keep it with the adorable pepperoni pizza print.
Classic Plaid Long Sleeve Shirt – Retail $19.99 (Superbox Price $13.21)
I love this classic red plaid shirt. He will be wearing it for the upcoming holidays with cords or khakis and it will look great when he performs in his school’s winter concert. It’s 97% cotton with 3% spandex for a little bit of stretch.
Deconstructed Knit Waist Karate Jeans – Retail $29.99 (Superbox Price $19.82)
My son prefers knit joggers (what he calls softies) to jeans, but these are a great compromise for when I don’t want him in sweats. The knit elastic waist means no fiddling with buttons and zippers, he has the comfort he desires and it gives him a little more slim leg, stylish look. These are a great find. They aren’t currently stocked with this deconstructed blue, but I’ve linked to the gray wash in the same style.
Fleece Full Zip Hoodie – Retail $19.90 (Superbox Price $13.18)
My son can always use another sweatshirt. He wears them constantly when the weather turns chilly, often preferring one over a jacket. This black zip-up won’t show stains, is loose enough to comfortably fit over a long sleeve tee and has a hood for added warmth on windy days.
Marled Sweater Beanie – Retail $9.99 (Superbox Price $6.60)
The knit beanie is 100% acrylic. It fits snugly and my son said it kept him warm outside at recess. I’m happy to see it’s not itchy and is machine washable. The hat is no longer available on Old Navy in this marled gray so I linked to the red one that is still in stock.
Here’s my son in the raglan tee and karate jeans.
Here he is modeling his favorite new pizza shirt and the karate jeans.
He’s a bit more dressed up here in his button-down plaid shirt (a tad big, but that’s because I sized up).
Finally he’s modeling his hoodie and beanie, cozy and comfy!
Verdict: We were happy with all the items in my son’s Old Navy SuperBox. The box is $69.99 a quarter with free shipping and you get 6 items for that price. That works out to be about $11.66 an item (on average). I think that’s a good value, but some people may argue that with the fabulous sales that old Navy runs you could get these same pieces at an even better discount. What this box offers though is convenience in that you don’t have to stalk the sales and you can relax knowing that every 3 months some new clothing will arrive in your child’s size and style. With free shipping both ways I think it’s definitely a box worth checking out.
