I received a thank you note along with 2-sided info sheet detailing the contents of this month's box.

Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pen - Value $2.47 (linked to different color)

Please excuse my crude attempt to write something nice with this brush pen. I follow a few calligraphy a brush pen accounts on Instagram and they make it seem so easy! Clearly, it is not, but I'm still excited to have this tan brush pen to practice with.

Ohto .5 mm Mini Sharp Mechanical Pencil - Value $3.35? (linked to similar)

This is the teeniest mechanical pencil I have ever seen! It measures only 4.25" long, but comes complete with eraser and metal clip. This is the perfect travel companion when you don't have much room.

Uni-ball Signo Broad UM-153 Gel Pen - Value $2.50

Oooh, another Signo (I just received two in a different box)! This one is of the broad variety and contains white ink! White ink, as you can see, is super stunning against dark paper. This gel ink really glides across the page and is super pigmented.

Zebra Mackee Dual-Tip Art Markers in Blue and Black - Total Value $4 ($2 each)

Not one, but two dual-tip markers from Zebra, my favorite pen maker! Every subscriber got a black version, but the second color was randomized and I received a baby blue color. These are pretty standard permanent markers with a broad and narrow end on each. They tend to bleed on most paper but won't come off of more slippery surfaces like plastic.

Pilot Frixion Erasable Stamp in Smiling Poo - Value $2.30? (linked to similar)

Hehehe! I adore stamps, and I'm happy to report that this is NOT my first poo stamp. Very similar to the beloved poo emoji💩, this little guy has a smiling face and comes with self-inking orange ink. The best part though is that this one is ERASABLE! Just use the rubber eraser on the other end to delete any unwanted poos.

Deco Rush Petit Decoration Tape - Value $3.67? (linked to similar)

I have never heard of Deco Rush Tape before! It looks a lot like the glue dots I've seen, or like correction tape, but instead, it rolls out cute little designs. The one I got looks like little watercolor splats of color. The info sheet suggests using this in your planner, and since I just bought one recently, this is going to get used so hard!

World Craft 4mm Washi Tape in Lace - Value $2? (taking a guess since I can't find online)

Whooooa this is some skinny washi tape! This one happens to have a gold lace pattern on it, which will certainly fancy-up some letters I send out.

Paper Pocket, Pack of 2 in Green - Value $2.50? (another wild guess)

This is a unique item I haven't seen. It's a craft paper 2D "cube" that opens up to reveal a pocket. It has a sticky back so that you can put it on the inside of a notebook to hold notes, or I suppose even inside a locker or something. I like the cute chevron pattern too!

Tombow Mono One Eraser - Value $2.55

I don't know why I get excited when I see something in a stationery box that I already own. I should be bummed, but I think it's a feather in my cap to say "Oh, I am in the KNOW. I already know about this cool Japanese product!". Silly, I know. So, I have this same eraser in blue, which I don't even really where I got it from. I may hoard this orange one anyhow, or pass it on to a pal who loves office supplies like I do. Isn't it cool though? It's an eraser tube that lives inside this plastic holder which you turn to move more eraser out of. It even has a cap! I just love the design and how cute and chubby it is.

Washi Monogatari Chiyogami Paper, 25 pack - Value $5? (I took a guess based on other 25 packs online)

It looks like you could receive either Chiyogami or Origami paper this month, and even after reading the info sheet and looking it up online, I'm a little confused about what the difference is. The info sheet says that Chiyogami is more textured, so I'm going to say I got that because mine is very wrinkly like homemade paper. My pack comes with five different beautiful soft pastel colors, with five of each. I tried to make a paper crane out of one, which didn't turn out as well as I had hoped but gets the job done.

Maruman Croquis Sketchbook - Value $4.45

I've seen this brand before at my favorite stationery spot, Kinokuniya, and have always loved the simple design. This small sketchbook comes with 55 blank sheets for you to doodle your heart out. The craft paper cover has the Croquis design on the front and a blank back with spiral binding. Each page is 6 inches wide and 4.2 inches tall.

Apica Water Repellent Notebook - Value $2? (blerg, it's no longer sold at JetPens and I can't find it anywhere else online)

The last item is a bonus item! Yay! This small black spiral bound notebook is filled with 40 lined water repellent sheets, so you can jot down ideas even if you're waiting for the bus in the rain. The cover is a thin plastic with a cute little umbrella on the front! It measures 5 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide.

Verdict: ZenPop Japanese Stationery Pack has done it again! My second month included 13 items of Japanese stationery goodness that I just adore for $29.50 (with free shipping). After finding and guessing at some retail prices, I came up with a total retail value of $36.79 for this box, so I'm well over my cost. I love both notebooks, and all of the pens the most!!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Since it's currently October, if you order today, you will receive November as your first box.
