Sephora is offering this limited edition Play! by Sephora box! This time, there are two editions available!

The box is only available for VIB Rouge clients now but it will be available to VIB clients on October 27th, and to all clients on October 28th — while supplies last!

VIBs – can you tell me if they are charging shipping for this ? I know they don’t charge shipping for the normal Play box, just tax. Thanks

Thank you for the info Leah. The one I want is sold out now too. I wouldn’t have been able to get it if they were charging shipping, not enough on the card I use online. I keep checking the swap site to see if anyone has listed one, but nothing yet.

Yup, pretty much just want the bag. Only reason I can think of getting one is that I’m $60 shy of renewing my VIB status.

I like the bag, but I kinda feel like I want to know what’s in it first– particularly if Sephora is gonna start doing this every month to get an additional $20-40 out of me. Plus, I still have samples from the last one that I haven’t had an opportunity to use yet, so I can wait.

I bought the two previous and gave most of it away.

I HATE the smell of La Mer and I am guessing that is a large part of the value.

YSL lipstick bleeds on me, though no other lipstick ever has!??

I am interested in the Armani and Givenchy (maybe?).

I think this is a hard pass for me, now to just stay busy until it is sold out so I don’t cave! LOL

I can’t stand the smell either. Definitely smells like old lady heavy floral perfume to me. The YSL lipstick in the first box was not a color for me. I ended up selling most of it on eBay (got a decent amount for it too!). I didn’t buy the second box.

I’ve always thought it smells like the “cold creams” my mother and grandmother used in the ‘70s.

What does La Mer smell like?

To me it smells like a combo of talcum powder and grand-old-dame floral. I use it, but I always think the scent smells old fashioned and kind of “cheap”

I have received samples three times, so I don’t think it is just a bad sample. I can’t describe the smell, it is just not appealing to me at all. I typically use natural products so it may be something that most people wouldn’t notice.

I am currently using one. To me it does not smell at all. If it smells, I cannot even think of any smell and I am using it every night.

From the available pictures, this looks to be all foil packet samples.

The products in these are ALWAYS deluxe samples. Even the perfume. No foil packets or tiny vials. Definitely recommend!

If you get the email for it, it has an animated GIF. The foil packet with the cards is on top of several products in boxes. So the products aren’t in the foil pouch.

I think they are only showing the bag and the six cards. There is no way foil samples could equal $140 and the first two editions were not foil packets.

I resisted. I just placed and order and had them both in my cart and then removed them at the last minute. I just have a feeling it will be another lipstick, mascara and primer so I decided to be sensible and gamble that there will NOT be some great product that I am dying to try.

Hmmmm…wonder if I will regret it?

I bet the Tatcha is the same Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil that they gave away in a Play boxes a few months ago. It’s a nice product, but I don’t know how I feel about paying for a product that I received in a previous Play box.

I totally caved and bought both. I cancelled play recently because it just was not doing it for me. I’m going to keep the one I like (given the overlap) and gift the other.

I ended up getting both. 🙂 I don’t mind the duplicate products (heck, I bet I probably already have the non-duplicates in my stash. ha!). Unless any are mascaras (which I love), I’ll be gifting at least one of the makeup duplicates, but all of the skincare is all mine!!! I also added a $5 eye mask to get the Bag of Cheers GWP. I don’t mind foil samples, and they all look like pretty good options to get in the bag, so I can’t wait to see what I get! Oh, and I got the Boscia 500-point gift too.

Me too LOL I got both and added a Dr. Jart sheet mask to get the cheer bag. Then thought, I wonder if my daughter would want a set and went back on and ordered another round but the cheer code is only good once per account. Bummer.. I also added on that cute catch all tray 🙂 #Addicts

I got that catch-all tray. It is NICE! I thought it was going to be plastic, but it’s ceramin, and bigger than I thought (about 7 inches long.) It’s really worth the points.

Ordered edition 1. I’ve was pretty happy with the last 2 so excited to get another one. Wish they had done 2 entirely different boxes. I would have been all over that.

Not getting this until a spoiler comes out, and if it sells out I’m ambivalent. I’m bought the last two as soon as I saw it was on sale, and was disappointed both times.
