Just got this box and I am impressed. I’m going to try the foundation although I normally don’t wear it. It’ll be fun to play with at least. I’m looking forward to trying the skin booster since ive been really into serums lately. Overall pleased with this box. Way better than ipsy in my opinion.

I got this box today and love it. It’s literally the first time in since subbing for 18 months that I’ve gotten the bag I most wanted. I wish they wouldn’t do variations, at least not so vast. But I’m glad to finally have lucked out. 😀

This is my box and I received it today. The foundation works so well with my combo skin! I’m totally impressed. I already have those cover fx drops from a previous Sephora gift from last December and the sample size is still half full. It’s SUPER silvery toned so use the tiniest amount and build if needed. It’s hard to remove too, so be careful! I’d be willing to swap the cover fx for another foundation sample in R230. I love it so much!

I’m swapping my whole box!

Jenny

Looks like I’m getting 743 and would love to swap for 677. Email me: jennyrivver at yahoo 🙂

I love the perfume sample. Every month I put together all my products from Ipsy, Play and Boxycharm in a make up bag and use it for that month. Looking forward to this one.

I didn’t love last month’s box, but this one looks great! I’m excited to try all of it. They look like nice-sized samples, too. Yay!

The Cover FX in Moonlight looks too dark for a Highlighter for us pale skinned ladies. I’m extremely pale, use the lightest shade foundation color in all foundations, red hair blue eyes… anyone else that’s similar profile and tried this Highlighter shade before?

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy B

I’ve messed around with it at Sephora and sparingly it looks beautiful. I’m pretty much vampire status as far as skin tone and I’m thrilled to have it in my box.

Mikayla

I’m very pale, lightest foundation always as well, and I don’t have this exact stuff (yet, this is my box so I will have it lol) but I have pressed powder highlighters in darker gold colors and I love them!! You just gotta blend extra well so it doesn’t just look like a gold line. I’m excited for this one because you can mix it with foundation or moisturizer so I’m sure you’ll be able to customize to what look you want and tone it down easily if it is too dark

Reply ButtonReply

Jules

you can sheer it down by mixing it with a moisturizer. I usually do that for an all over healthy glow. im fair skinned dark hair. play around with it. Its more of a silver. they have other shades that are more bronzey that can be tricky. I already have this shade from their mini kit that has four or five shades for the price of one full one. I love how it looks though and though its tiny it lasts a long time. I might keep this as a back up or put it in a birthday gift for my crush lol

This is my box and I’m pretty happy with it! I already have the MUFE and Laura Mercier but can just use them as backups or test a different shade of the MUFE. It appears that there isn’t really any skincare item included. The MUFE skin booster was included in the makeup section in the full spoilers post, but that’s ok, I prefer makeup over skin care. The Cover FX seems like the odd one out this month as it is the only item not related to complexion given out this month. But I’m happy to get it because a full size of those Cover FX bottles are expensive and so when I want to use it I can just use the sample. It may be too dark for a highlighter, but I can use it as a shadow. I’ve been curious about the Becca as well, since it has a violet base, it can just be fun to try out and may actually look nice. Don’t know much about that skin booster, but it sort looks like a primer and those are always useful.Usually not a fan of Chanel perfumes but it may be ok. Overall, this a great box! It may not have revolutionary new stuff but at least it’s stuff that is useable and trustworthy.

The make up forever item is skincare. The Sephora page for it was kinda vague but make up forevers website it calls it a “hydra-plump serum”

This is my first box and I can say im happy with it. I was doing ipsy but switched to sephora and im happy with the switch so far. I don’t wear foundation but ill gift it out to someone who does or play around with it. Never hurts to expirament.

My last 4 Sephora Play boxes did not wow me. I was giving them a few months to get better or I was going to cancel. My box is #677 and I love everything! The Cover FX shade moonlight is a slivery shade prefect for cool toned pale people, in case anyone was worried it would be to dark or orangy.

Toni

Love box 677 hope I get the Laura Mercier Translucent settler powder. I would love to try it out . A lot of the products their sending out this month look amazing

Reply ButtonReply

Mary

Is there no skincare item in Box 677?

Reply ButtonReply

Mikayla

The skin booster is a serum

Jules

to me the skin booster is skincare. I know it was under makeup in the spoilers but I consider any treatment or oil to be more skincare.

Bella01

wow, Fantastic box

My box and I’m so excited!!!! I really hope the foundation actually works for me, but even if it doesn’t I’m excited for the rest. Already tried the Becca primer before and I like it a lot, and the rest is new to me! The coverfx looks so fun, not that I need more highlighter but it’s somethif I’ve been wanting to try, and I know the Laura Mercier powder is a cult fave and I’ve been meaning to try it. The skin booster also sounds really fun and I love getting nice serums/oils/etc to try out

Every month Sephora makes me happy. This month is no different. This is my box and it’s amazing. For 10 bucks a month I love Sephora play and has beaten all the other subs I’ve had by miles. Thank you Sephora again. Yayyy can’t wait to receive my box now and try all these.

Brandee

So agree with this! The brands in Sephora’s box surpasses others by far, especially for $10.

Reply ButtonReply

Julee

I totally agree with you! My box is 925 and it is perfect for me! Hooray Sephora Play! Im very happy!

Reply ButtonReply

AAC

This is my box… is it missing the skincare item? I thought a previous spoiler said there were variations with makeup, skincare, and fragrance. But I’m not seeing any skincare at all…

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

The makeup forever item is a serum.

Reply ButtonReply

AAC

@jen thanks for the info! For some reason, Sephora lists it under face primer/makeup.

Beccah

This is the best box ever! I am so mad! I am getting #925 which is way worse than #677! I have gotten the it under eye 6 times from play! Enough!

Reply ButtonReply

Deidre

How do you know what’s in #925?? I’m getting it too. And ugh I’m sick of the under eye stuff. I like the original but not the illuminating one

Reply ButtonReply

H

Anyone who is interested in swapping the Becca for the Tarte (whenever the info comes out), let me know 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Lily Henry

I’ll swap for the Tarte! What are youwilling to swap for? I have box 743.

Reply ButtonReply

mimi

This is my box, and I’m looking forward to it! Not sure about which foundation color, but they say if it doesn’t work you can bring it in and exchange it for one that works, which is good. As far as the Monlight Enhancer drops. the picture looks too dark but I’ll have to see it to be sure. I’m 59 but like sparkly stuff. If it is too dark i’ll either swap or gift it — and maybe buy one of the lighter shades.

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

I have box 677! I can’t believe I’m getting everything I wanted!

Reply ButtonReply

Cara

Me too!! This is the first Play box, out of 5, where I am excited about everything in it!!

Reply ButtonReply

Lethe

What?!? So psyched! \(^o^)/
I can scarcely believe the goodness of the this box. So much goodness.

– I have the Cover FX drops in celestial & lurv them intensely. I have assumed moonlight would be too dark on me, but I can’t wait to mix it with stuff and, ya know, PLAY! (snort).
– Whatever the MUFE foundation shade, I’m sure it’ll be to dark, but I’m still interested to try the formula.
– People are bonkers for the Laura Mercier setting powder, so really happy to get to try that.
– Never tried a BECCA primer, so another fun experiment.
– I already have a baby MUFE skin booster, from somewhere(?), but I haven’t given it a go yet. Anyone here have any experience/opinions? Is it like a toner? A serum?

Anyhoo… Guess it’s apparent that I’m pretty pleased. (^_^)

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

MUFE Ultra HD Skin Booster is a serum 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Kara

Omg this box is beyond perfect! <3 I hope #743 is as good as this one!

Reply ButtonReply

leigh

I’m getting #743 too – someone in another thread confirmed we’re getting the box pictured above with the tarte mist

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

Wow, that is an awesome box. I’m also #743, fingers crossed it’s as good as this one.

Reply ButtonReply

CJ

743 over here too

Gabi

I’m getting #743 as well and this would have been perfect for me too. Hopefully that means we’ll get a similar box!

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole B

I’m getting this box and I’m really looking forward to trying the Laura Mercier Setting Powder, everything else not so much. I have been subscribed to Play! since May and every single single month my boxes have been completely opposite of what I hope to get out of the box variations being sent out. My preferences have exactly what I want but I guess I need to tweak it somehow.

Reply ButtonReply

Lizette Rocha

I liked the first box variation best. I am excited to try all of these products. For $10.00 it really is not bad. Hopefully I will get the first box listed.

Reply ButtonReply

Adele

I would have loved this box, but I’m getting 925. I seem to be receiving the lower value boxes lately.

Reply ButtonReply

Beccah

Me too! #925 is not good at all! I only like the Sunday Riley.
