Let’s check out the items!
By Lilla ‘Boss Lady’ Hair Ties - Value $15
By Lilla is a company that exclusively makes these fancy hair ties. The packaging encourages you to “Rebel against the black elastic” and replace your old ugly hair ties with some cute ones. This set comes with 3 hair ties: one blue, one red with gold beads, and one thin black elastic with “BOSS LADY” spelled out with beads. I mean, if I’m going to have hair ties around my wrist all of the time, they might as well double as bracelets. Plus, they are actually functional and don’t get caught up in my hair.
Botanic Farm Melting Heart 2-tone Balm, No.2 - Value $18
Botanic Farm is an all-natural South Korean skincare and beauty line. This balm is a two-tone balm (one part color one part moisturizing balm) that can be used to get an easy gradient lip look. The color I received is the red shade, but they also have peach and berry. While not as low maintenance as a typical balm (you need to look in the mirror when you are applying this), I find it to be moisturizing. My gradient lip (shown below) didn’t last long as the color just got mixed up when I blotted my lips together, but it was still bright and fun and left a nice stain once the initial shine wore off. The tube is super cute and magnetized so you won't have to worry about the cap falling off in your purse. Win!
Aeria Skin Rejuvenating & Firming Eye Mask (pack of 7) - Value $28
First of all, I’m thrilled to get a set of 7 masks in this kit. Second, I like that these are free of a lot of irritating ingredients. There isn’t a noticeable fragrance at all. Oh, and they look like masquerade ball masks! The sheet mask covers the entire eye area plus about half of the cheek and above the brow bone (shown below) which is the area of my face where I need the most rejuvenation. They stay put and stay saturated for about an hour before beginning to dry up. My skin looks hydrated, bright, and less puffy. And bonus, there is enough serum left in the pack to spread onto the rest of your face and neck. These are going on my ‘to be purchased again’ list.
Milk + Sass Macaron Hair Brush - Value $12.99
This ADORABLE brush is similar to the other wet hair detangling brushes that are everywhere now. Except, it is way cuter and the fact that it closes up makes it perfect for on the go de-matting of my hair. The outside is a soft-feel matte plastic that looks like a macaron. Once you pop it open, you’ll find long flexible bristles, meant to detangle your hair without breakage, and a little mirror.
Etude House My Beauty Tool Lovely Etti Hair Band - Value $5.20
This headband is a little different than the one listed on the info card but still has about the same value. It is made with a super soft terry cloth and has tiny ears on the top. It does a great job of holding all of my hair out of my face without squeezing too tightly. I also find that it leaves my hairstyle intact. I usually use plastic headbands when I need to hold my hair back but this is so much better. There aren’t any washing instructions but I’m sure it would be fine going through a regular wash cycle.
Sh-Glam Hair Treatment Pack, 2 packs - Value $12
This hair mask is packaged like a sheet mask and works like a shower cap coated with product on the inside. First, you shampoo, then slide this on over your hair and use the tab to secure it. The steam from your shower will then help the treatment really sink in. I had a difficult time with this process. My long hair wouldn’t stay up in the plastic and it as sliding around because the tab wouldn’t stick. I didn’t notice my hair looking any better after using this but, it might work better for short or finer hair. Since they sent two of these, I might try the next one on dry hair and see if it will stay on better.
The headband works perfectly to keep my hair out of the way while wearing one of the eye masks. See how much face it covers?! So much better than eye patches. I’m also wearing the gradient lip look from the lip balm.
Verdict: Peachy Box really put a great box together this month. The theme was fun and each item fits perfectly within it. The total value was $91.19 with free shipping. I’m so happy to see a higher value than previous months and products that felt high-quality. I like being introduced not only to great products but also to the companies that make them.
