Olia Box Jewelry Subscription Review – September 2017
Olia Box is a jewelry styling box that sends you 2-3 pieces that complement your style each month. Subscribers fill out a questionnaire when they sign up to let your stylist know what tones of metals you wear, what necklace style you prefer, and any other comments you might want to tell them (like pierced ears or ring size).
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
The Subscription Box: Olia Box
The Cost: $34.99 monthly + free shipping
The Products: 2-3 pieces of jewelry
Ships to: U.S. (free shipping) and international (shipping fees apply)

Included is a card explaining some basic jewelry care tips to maintain your new jewelry. They talk about taking care of your jewelry to get a season’s wear out of it. I don’t know about you, but I plan on getting more wear out of my jewelry than that!
When you sign up, you’ll get to answer these questions:
- Which metal tone(s) do you wear? (Gold Only, Silver Only, Mix Gold & Silver, or Surprise Me)
- Which necklace style(s) do you prefer? (Everything Dainty, Bold & Chunky, Long Pendants, or Surprise Me)
I chose Surprise Me for each of these. You can change your preferences anytime by sending customer service an email.
There is also a comment box that you can add any additional info you want your stylist to know. I added that I have multiple piercings in each ear.
Now let’s see what my stylist picked!
Triple Layer Necklace – Value $16.99?
Included this month is a triple layer necklace. The metal is gold with gray and pearl accents. This is a very dainty piece that is super versatile. I’ve styled it below with a simple grey t-shirt, but it could easily be paired with a sleek dress for a nighttime look. I like the different textures on each layer. The quality is similar to what you would find at Target’s trendy jewelry section (which is not a bad thing).
The lobster claw clasp is pretty easy to open and there is an extender attached so you can adjust the length to your preference.
The druzy detail adds a bit of sparkle.
Dangly Earrings – Value $7.99?
The next piece is this pair of dangly earrings. I love these! They are simple while still being unique. The bottom half of the hanging gold chain holds different colored metallic beads. These earrings are so light comfortable, I hardly noticed I had them on. They hit just above my shoulder in length. These look great paired with the necklace or by themselves, which is my favorite way to let them shine.
Round Crystal Stud Earrings – Value $7.99?
The third piece I received was this pair of studs. The metal is gold-toned and the stones look like diamonds (obviously not real). They are the perfect size to wear alone or to pair with some dangly earrings. They come with wide backs so they feel very secure.
The studs looks great on their own.
The set works nicely together. I have the necklace clasped to the halfway point on the extender here for reference.
Verdict: This is my first month of Olia Box and I was pleasantly surprised! For $34.99 with free shipping, I got three pieces of jewelry that can be worn together as a set or worn individually. There are no brand markings on the jewelry, but compared to prices for similar pieces (at Target.com), I feel like the value of this box about equals the cost. I like that they took care to make sure the metals compliment each other. The pieces are dainty and I’ll get plenty of wear out of all of them. If anything hadn’t been my style, I could have reused the box for gifting. Since I chose Surprise Me, I’m hoping next month includes a totally different style. And, hopefully, a value that exceeds the cost of the box.
