I got my box today. The eyeliner does NOT work for me. All I’m getting is a VERY thin line that isn’t easy to get straight. As someone with VERY oily skin, I don’t have any use for the Kiehls or Hydra gel stuff. I’ve yet to try the Biolage shampoo/conditioner. I think I’ll wait until sample choice day to see some options, but I”ll most likely cancel after only 2 boxes.

I received my October box on Saturday. This was the second month in a row that my box was a complete “dud”. I received a broken lip pencil and the Smash box primer ( I feel like I have a hundred of these things) in the same box. I had just subscribed to them again a few month’s ago and I’m gone again. This time for good! It’s not because the lip pencil was broken but because there was no value or thought was so ever to the box sent to me. The actual box was the nicest thing about it.

All new products for me so I’m super excited for this box! I love that I have a couple skin care items which is what I prefer.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray – I probably don’t need this but I’ve heard a lot of good things
Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner – yay, I’m out of black liquid eyeliner so perfect timing
Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin™ Cream – excited to try because I have dry skin
Avène Hydrance Intense Rehydrating Serum – My requested item because I have dry skin
Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick – Probably the only thing I won’t use. I’m just assuming it’s going to be a light color which won’t work for my skin tone.
OUAI Rose Hair & Body Oil – My hair is dry so this might be nice

This box is a major win for me!

The link said “page not found” for me. I made sure I logged in as well.

Does anyone else feel like birch box pay zero attention to your preferences?

Anyone want to swap for the avene hydration syrum and the Dr Jart cream for dry skin?

I have normal to oily skin and regularly add in reviews and update my preference to say stop sending me dry skin products. It’s like a joke- I received 2 this time! TWO samples in one month made for extreme hydration. I can’t even try them. The other products are great and brands and products I love. I just wish they would pay attention to the most basic information. I would have loved to recieve the shampoo & conditioner. The love scent is amaze!

Yes, I feel like they pay no attention to preferences. In fact, I just purchased a six month subscription for my husband, who is bald (which is in his profile) and they just sent him hair texturizing gel. Awesome.

It depends on the month for me. I’ve given up on the constant haircare and just use those items on my toddlers. I also dislike getting Dr jart creams because they are just too thick for my oily/combo skin. So far this looks like a decent month though:

•Balance me wonder eye cream (cool beans)
•Estée Lauder lipstick probably in some
hideous-not-for-dark-skin shade
•Lavanilla fragrance in vanilla coconut (I’m ok
with this if it’s a bonus)
•[comfort zone] hydromemory cream gel (I
have hopes for this. Hopefully it isn’t too
hydrating and is similar to the belif aqua
bomb)
•Ouai rose hair and body oil (preggo stretch
mark therapy maybe? It was the least
offensive of the three sample choices)
•The beauty crop glow milk liquid moisturizer
(worth trying. I loved the liquid lipstick in
imma bawse and glamazon highlight stick)

I never thought I would be more excited for Birchbox items than Ipsy but hell froze over this month.

My whole box is awful this month. Usually I am not totally wowed but this is a big disappointment. Another black eyeliner, hair products for kinky or frizzy hair which I don’t have, lip liner which I don’t use, rose hair and body oil I don’t like rose scent and a night cream I will use. A total miss

Mine was a total bust too. The lip pencil was broken and that Smashbox primer that these companies must own millions of. I cancelled immediately. I usually don’t bother with the internet and typing on a weekend, but I made an exception. I logged in and cancelled them.

The rose hair oil doesn’t smell much like rose, just generic light floral

Lauren

I’ll swap you for the rose hair oil!!!!!

I picked the Curated box so I already knew what I was getting. I excited to try the liquid eyeliner because I’ve only ever tried pencils and the Biolage Shampoo and Conditioner.

How do you make it curated?
