It looks like Yume Twins will have a new look coming soon!
I’m so excited about this month’s box, so let’s get into it!!
Mocchizu Plush Cushion in Black Cat – Value $9.12
I shrieked when I saw this big squishy cat because it looks JUST LIKE MY CAT, KIT (aka Kit Cat, aka Kitters)! There were four possible variations, and I’m happy to report that I got the best one!
The fabric is SO SOFT, I am actually hugging it and burying my face into as I type this.
Even the body shape is just like Kit’s! This 11.5 inch long plush doubles as a cushion, so you can use it to lay on while you read or binge watch “Insecure” on HBO.
The only way to tell this plush from my Kitters is that the eyes are blue while Kit’s are green. Now I have to get the Tabby cat that looks like my other cat, Gregg!
This is the perfect travel comb for me! My hair is always a mess, but I normally carry a small purse, so I don’t want to take up valuable real estate with a full-size comb. Folded up, this one measures about 4 inches. This pink comb features Rilakkuma stuffing his little face with bread from a bakery. 🙂
Huzzah! Look at it open up! It even has a ball chain attached so that I can hang it off of something if need be.
Here it is fully unfolded (7.5 inches). The opposite side is blank.
Sumikkogurashi Drawstring Bag – Value $4.99
I have not been paying enough attention to San-X lately! I got stickers with these cuties this month in another subscription box and didn’t even realize they were San-X characters!
On this pink drawstring bag, they’re all dressed up as cats! Eeeeee!
Same design on the other side, just as cute!
Totoro Chopsticks – Value $10.99? (This price seems expensive but on par with others I found as well)
I’m super excited to see yet another Totoro item come in a subscription box! This time, it’s in the form of some plastic chopsticks featuring the small white Chibi Totoro!
Chibi Totoro sits atop some acorns on a purple background on top of the chopsticks. He’s just so cute and smol!!
The ends have little grooves to better grip the slippery noodles you may be eating.
Sumikko Gurashi Digital Watch – Value $5.09? (I feel like this is worth more and the cost I found is a wholesale price, but it is available at this cost)
Yay! Another Sumikko Gurashi item! I love these little cuties, and also happen to collect watches (mostly Swatch), so this is a wonderful item in my eyes!
I couldn’t resist taking a shot of the box with some of them eating and flying about. Too cute!
I lucked out and got the blue variation, which is my favorite color!
The face of the watch features the whole gang at a hot spring, with Mt Fuji (presumably) in the background. The face is about an inch and 1/4 in diameter, and the strap measures about 9 inches long from end to end.
I have small wrists, so I’m pleased when watch bands are small enough to fit me well. This watch also has a date option that displays the month and day in addition to the time. I love it!!
Verdict: This is hands down my favorite YumeTwins box to date! I received five high quality licensed items and loved every single one! I was happy to receive only a few items that were substantial and useful as opposed to more items that didn’t feel quite as special. It’s really hard to pick a favorite this month, but it’s between the plush and the watch! The cost of this box is $29.99 (with free shipping), and the values I was able to find online totaled $37.18, so I think this is a great buy!
