Play! By Sephora September 2017 Box #904 FULL Spoilers!

Does anyone have any ideas what the October box theme is? Or what products they well be giving out in the boxes??

I received box #498 and I love the products I got. I am really happy with the monthly Sephora boxes. I might not like all the products but it does give me a chance to try and learn something new too.

I received #912, and ever since the lip colors spoilers, I was SO HOPING not to get the orange red color Diva. Welp, I got diva! 🙁 I had a one in six chance of getting any other color, but I got the one that is the most unwearable color….boo. Oh well, hopefully next month will be killer!!

Question for those who have subbed to Play for awhile, do you think posting reviews influences what you receive in subsequent boxes? From what I’m read, it does seems to make a difference for Ipsy boxes.

Is the wander lipstick full size

Hi everyone, so I’m new to this subscription and up until yesterday the sephora site showed me the contents of box #498 but suddenly today (after the box already shipped) the contents on the site changed to #904?? Has this happened to anyone?

Does anyone know why some of the boxes did not come with a perfume sample this month? I think I’d have preferred it over the foil packets of hair products that I’ll never use.

I am getting 514 and I am not happy about any of it, obviously they don’t go by the profile. I canceled today! Boxycharm and ipsy are way better and they wont wait to charge me on the 18th! I am not dealing with sephora anymore, they know how to piss people off real good.

Just discovered the world of subs and will be receiving 904 which I’m pretty excited about since this will be my 1st box ever! and it seems to fit my profile perfectly. My skin concerns are dryness and aging so those two creams are going to be put to good use. The rest of my profile is Medium, brown eyes, brunette straight fine hair.

I have box #514 if anyone is willing to swap their box?

This is weird combo to me. As a 40 year old, I’d expect to get anti-aging products and a berry lipstick. Glitter eyeshadow though – really? That would go over well at work… I guess at least it isn’t one of the useless fragrance samples.

And I’ve been getting this box since the first one and every month now there is something that is a repeat from the past. I think this is black sephora eye pencil #3 for me.

Is anyone else’s Touch in Sol eyeshadow dried out? I understand one of them is supposed to be flakey, but the other is not creamy like in the pictures.

I am so unhappy with Sephora Play. Another Fuscia color lipstick. Do they not even bother to look at the beauty profile or the age of their subscriber’s. No 51 year old wants Fuscia lipstick. Some of the boxes this month are great but the others junk. Canceling this box. Ugh

Box 904 this month, box 221 last month… Only two boxes in, and I’m already cancelling. They have consistently sent me unusable samples that are soooo irrelevant to my profile. 🙁

If anyone would like anything from either box, let me know, and I’ll happily trade. I used the micro beauty blender from last month and might keep the Wander lispstick from this box, but everything else is (or will be) still untouched.

I am receiving #904. There is nothing in it that excites me. Another black eyeliner, another hair mask (I have gotten 4 samples of this particular mask and a full size tube in other sub boxes…too heavy for my fine hair), and 2 face products, one of which I have already tried. The only thing I will like use is the lipstick. I think it’s time to step back on the boxes.

People will literally complain about anything we get. Cancel if u hate it so much. There are a lot of people to please some will like some will hate. It is what it is. U could take your 10 dollars and buy small sizes of things that u directly want instead of being surprised each month and trying maybe something new or something a second time. These subs r for fun.

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream – TWO FACE CREAMS? WOT? This is okay, I have used it it in the past, but again – oily skin here – its too rich for my skin type.

Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Mask – foils.

I am about ready to cancel my sephora box. What a horrible box.

I finally subscribed today after months of trying to decide! (my only sub has been Ipsy for a year now and I love it)

Does anyone know if I’ll get September’s box since I just subscribed today? (Sept 17)

I emailed CS but I’m impatient, so I wanted to ask the MSA experts. 😉

I got box 904 but was really hoping for the Amulet lip color and the Gimme Brow. I am willing to swap anything from my box for them 🙋🏻

This is my box and I love it. I was hoping for that lip stick and that eye shadow and I got it!!! I didn’t have a preference in the skin care this month but I’m super excited about the two I got. I’m excired to b getting this wed!

I didn’t think I’d like the idea of the Touch in Sol, but anyone looking to get rid of it? It’s growing on me. Perhaps for a black liner or mascara? 😂
Seriously though- I’ve got Sephora, makeup forever, it cosmetics, eyeko… among a billion other things. I’m really particular about my mascara and liner, so getting rid of extras in those arenas that im not excited about would be ideal.

I got 498 and I love it! I’m so happy with my box. I think this is the first box I’m satisfied with (I’ve had 2 other boxes). I’m so grateful I didn’t get the Laura Mercier lipstick because the shade would’ve looked so bad on me. The Urban Decay lipstick is really grungy (with a brownish tint), but I enjoy it. I did get the Sephora eyeliner, but I’m not mad. I’m thrilled with the 2 skincare items. The Algenist cream smells really great and a little goes a long way with its solid formula. I haven’t tried the Belif cream yet, but I’m excited about it. I did give the foil packets away because my hair is so long it’s hip level and there’s no way on Earth that those packets would be enough for one wash. I also wanted the Give Me Brow product and got it, so that’s a plus. I hope I will be as happy with next month’s box! Woot!

This is my box and I’m pretty satisfied with it. Only thing new to me is the wander & the touch in sol eye stuff, but this is such an inexpensive sub I don’t mind having things that I have used already to travel with.

This box is awful. And i used to subscribe to birchbox! at least BB strived to not send me the same thing 2 months in a row..
A 1x use foil packet of S&C for dry hair that i dont have, almost black brow gel? Same belif gel cream (which is not as good as the hype, bu that’s besude the point) another blackeyeliner, which i got the mufe black pencil eyeliner last month!
Plus, This is just a boxof silicones. At least the lipstick is not in a clownish hot pink.

I get 2 subboxes, i am by no means rich. i consider these subscriptions a luxury… My husband shows some interest in what i get in my monthly “mystery” boxes but this month Im tooembarrassed to even him show couse i cant justify this use of money

I’m so happy I didn’t get yet another liquid lipstick!! I hate them and they are in every subscription box!! Also, another black eyeliner?? This the third Sephora box I’ve gotten with that and I have the Algenist from a 100 pt pick. Plus I got another Briogio hair item…the second one in a row from Sephora. I am excited for the Wander Beauty lipstick and the metallic eyeshadow and possibly the Fresh cream but I have sensitive skin so it’s always a toss up. BTW… where’s the purfume sample this month??
