NatureBox
4.2 overall rating

NatureBox has updated their subscription model. NatureBox is now a members-only snack buying service - the membership cost is free for your first month then you are charged $50 for the year. You will also receive a $50 credit to spend on snacks. You can cancel your membership at any time. You may buy as many snacks as you like each month - the $50 is simply for access to purchase the snacks. If you do not use the $50 in during the month, it will roll over to the new month.

If you were on a recurring subscription plan, those deliveries will continue - which also grants us a free membership to the new Club - so we can buy additional snacks. NatureBox is no longer open to new subscriptions, though, only to the new NatureBox Club membership.

Vanilla Bean Wafers, 5 0z - Value $3.75 (Buy a pack of 2 5 oz for $7.49/Member Price $6.49)

These cookies are basically an elevated version of the vanilla wafers you can get at the grocery store. I absolutely love vanilla bean flavored anything, but the best part about these wafers is that they are made from real vanilla beans! The wafer itself is small but packs a lot of crunch. The vanilla bean gives each wafer a creamy like flavor which made them great to enjoy with a hot cup of coffee. With less than 10 grams of sugar, you can really enjoy these delicious wafers with little guilt!

Big Island Pineapple, 4.5 oz - Value $6.00 (Buy a pack of 2 4.5 oz for $11.99/Member Price $7.99)

I was really shocked when I took these dried pineapples out of the bag because it is literally big slices of pineapple, so fresh! Each slice of pineapple is sticky and oh so sweet, which are from the natural flavors of the pineapple so zero added sugars. I really loved the natural flavors that you get in each bite. This snack is gluten free and vegan, coming in at less than 150 calories making it perfect to pack in your bag for a quick and healthy pick me up.

Whole Wheat Strawberry Figgy Bars, 6 oz - Value $4.50 (Buy a pack of 2 at 6 oz for $8.99/Member Price $6.99)

The thing that I love about snack boxes is that they always take me out of my comfort zone and teach me new flavors that I thought I didn't like! I have assumed my whole life that I don't like figs, but boy was I wrong! The strawberry and fig filling is thick and sweet. The outer cookie is made with whole wheat flour and oats which give it such a cake-like texture. Each bar comes individually packaged, and since each bar is packed with less than 10 grams of sugar, I was happy to throw a few in my diaper bag to share with my son at the park!

Crunchy BBQ Twists, 3 oz - Value $3.75 (Buy a pack of 2 at 3 oz for $7.49/Member Price $5.99)

This bag did not last long in my house, everyone wanted a handful! Unlike other salty snacks, each twist is made with lentils and is half the fat of a regular bag of BBQ chips. Each bite will give you a little sweetness and a little spice, like any good BBQ sauce will! This snack is a great way to curb those salty cravings.

Verdict: This was my first time trying Naturebox, and I was really excited by the variety of items I received! You also receive so much of each snack that I was able to put these out when we recently had house guests stay with us for a few days. I also love that each snack was something I was able to share with my toddler. I received four snacks this month with a calculated value of $18. With the new membership fee of $50 for the year, this seems like a great overall value for snacks that you can share with the whole family! I am excited to see what next month's box brings and hopefully it will continue to take me out a bit out of my snacking comfort zone!

If you want to try some of the snacks before you get a membership, Target stocks Naturebox snacks, and sometimes has cartwheel deals on them (I picked up a couple bags at 50% off a week ago). I also think Ibotta (if yo do that) has $1 back on a bunch of the Naturebox snacks.

And, totally agree with the previous commenter, these snacks are GOOD. 🙂

I forgot about those delicious pineapple slices! I really enjoyed my Naturebox subscription but it’s just me in my household and I ended up with a stockpile of snacks so I canceled last year. I don’t know how with their new program the costs of snacks are so I can’t comment on if it’s worth the money now but it was when I was a subscriber so I can imagine they’ve kept in that same cost range. I can tell you the snacks were delicious! I can only think of 1 I didn’t like, can’t remember which 1, and that was because I didn’t like a main ingredient not because it was bad. I do remember thinking I wouldn’t like anything with that ingredient in it, had I paid attention when selecting my snacks I wouldn’t have chose that snack because it contained an ingredient I knew I don’t like. I might pay for a membership for a year now that I can control how much I receive. I finally made it thru all my Naturebox snacks a few months ago so I’m ready to restock with my favorites and try new ones!
