Contacted customer service, they said I was missing an item, so I listed all the items I received… Let’s see what happens. I actually like my bag but the value they advertise wasn’t there….

Called customer service today. They were very nice. They are sending me an eye liner. Not sure why the code didn’t work when I used it. She offered me black or wavelength (blue). Decided to try the blue. I hope it is not too bright. I suggest calling or emailing customer service if you have a question.

I dont think that highlighter promo code work for this deal, when I put it, it didn’t show in the order as two items.

They are sending me another Highliner in a color of my choice!! I just explained to them the issue I had. I’m guessing your right, that the Highliner promo didn’t work for this deal. Werid..smh

Heard back about returning my mystery bag. YES, THEY ARE RETURNABLE! So yay for that at least! You can fill out the return form from their Web site by clicking customer service, then clicking returns where you can print a free return label.

How many items was the medium mystery bag supposed to have? And does anyone know if you can return open items? I also got extremely bright lip stick and lip gloss that won’t work for me even for Halloween 🙁

Got the medium bag today – WORST $50 spent. All super bright pinks (it’s Autumn) and they aren’t complexion friendly at all. Im returning and emailed Corporate. Why fill out a profile if you don’t even try to follow it?

Got my medium bag today and it is awful. It came with a baby pink polish, two bright fuchsia lip products and a highliner in a super light grayish purple. Already e-mailed to ask about returns but I’m expecting I’ll be stuck with this bag. Won’t do this mystery bag again.

Total disappointment. Last round’s products looked really good and that why I wanted to buy. All I got was a brown nail polish (I don’t know that I will ever wear this color) and a red lip gloss (which isn’t really wearable either). What a letdown.

I ordered one of each….. what a let down 🙁 All I wanted was some shadow and wearable lip colors. No shadow, fuchsia and red lip products with one neutral color. WOW $170 for 1 lip color (that I can wear), a nice face brush and powder that I couldn’t care less about, everything else is not my style. Has anyone confirmed if these are returnable. I wish I would have just spent the $170 on Sephora and snagged stuff I would actually use. Thats what i get for trying to get out of my comfort zone. I know not everything is a hit in mystery boxes, hence the mystery. I feel like for the price we should have gotten more than flop colors and inventory that just isn’t moving. I get that they need to clean house but come on give us a few goodies in there

I just got my $29 bag which contained some very putrid nail polish and unwearable lipgloss. I also got the $49 bag and it had more ugly polish, lipgloss that looks very old and crackled in the tube, lavender glitter highliner, and neon pink old lady looking lipstick. If I can retun these I will be and wont ever make this mistake again. Im not picky but I expect more for $80.

I was curious because I couldn’t find the lipstick or eyeliner colors on the website. I looked them up on the 2 websites that tell you when cosmetics were manufactured and everything but the brush is 6 or 7 years old! Not sure if I should use it or not. Also I thought I had applied a code for a free eyeliner. Not sure if I got it or not because the stated value is not there if you subtract the eyeliner.
What did everyone else get?
My invoice said Mystery 9

I’ve used the free highliner code previously and the free shade is Introvert — so that was the bonus eyeliner, not part of the bag.

Then without counting the highliner as part of the bag, the value is only 150.00. Not the promised 170.00.

I got the exact same thing. I kind of expected more for $99. I won’t be doing this again. My Pur mystery bag was much much better and only $25.

I got exactly the same thing and had also used the code for the free highlighter, which does make it appear that the retail value was short. I’m calling customer service today, will report back on what I hear. I was disappointed as well, had really hoped for eyeshadow or blush, personally don’t like nude lip colors and really didn’t need another powder, brush or mascara.

I’m somewhat disappointed as well. I love all the products but disliked the lip shades. I got the medium bag. Inside:

Le Marc Lipstick in”Clara” a hot pink
Enamored Hi-shine Lip Lacquer in “Whip It” a bright fuchsia
High liner in “Obey-ge” a frosted pink
LE Nail polish in “Pearl Jam” a light pearlescent pink

It definitely felt like they were just getting rid of unpopular summer shades to make room for winter colors. I would have loved the large bag! And I am sure some out there would have enjoyed my bag. I’m itching to swap my box. That’s mystery boxes for ya :\

Correction. I just found different batch numbers on 2 of the products and when I put them in they are only a year old. That makes me feel better. I was still hoping for a nail polish, but that is why it’s called mystery.

Isn’t it a better deal buying 2 of the medium bags? It would be $98 for $202 retail value, while the large bag is $99 with $170 retail. Or, do all of the medium bags have the exact same items??

Under the company’s return policies you can buy, try out the products and return a bag if you don’t like it. That makes these one of the lower risk mystery bags featured on this site. Of course there’s the risk that if you order all of them you’ll want to keep them all…

I’m not sure that’s the case. I remember a commenter being very upset after the last mystery bag deal from Marc Jacobs because her lipstick arrived broken and customer service refused to replace it because it was a mystery bag. Given that info, I highly doubt they will refund your money if you simply try the products and don’t like them. I will say though, that I LOVED the bag I recently got from them, the products were high quality and a part of my every day makeup routine at the moment.

Are you sure these are refundable? It might make me purchase a second bag. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen comments on previous mystery bags that they would not even replace damaged items in mystery bags, much less refund them. I hope I’m wrong though.

I bought the large bag today. I’ve never gotten these bags before, but everyone seems to love them on the reviews…so I went for it. Fingers crossed it will be colors that fit me and not something outrageous!
