Now, on to the items!

Schatzii Wally Dual USB Wall Outlet Charger - Value $20

This wall charger has two USB ports in addition to the standard outlet. Simple, practical, and totally useful - it's already in charging my iPad!

Schatzii Bullet Bluetooth 4.1 Earpiece + Charging Capsule - Value $150

This thing is SO cool!

It's the world's smallest Bluetooth earbud! This silver capsule houses both the earbud and acts as a rechargeable power bank.

Here is the earbud:

It's surprisingly comfortable, and it has a built-in microphone, so you can use this for making calls or listening to music. (I've tested it both ways and I'm officially addicted to this little device.) I'm going to become one of those people that look like they are talking to themselves because you can't see the headphone wires!

And the back flips open to charge. (It comes with the wire as well.) The charge bank holds a 4X charge, and each charge is good for 1.5 hours of talk/music.

I first thought listening to music with just one ear would be weird, but that wasn't the case. It's great for podcasts, too. (And I imagine it's ideal for anyone who is commuting and still needs to hear noises.)

ShapeMixer Clear Acrylic Cord Stand - Value $18

More sleek design! These pieces fit together to form a cord organizer:

I love this for organizing cords and keeping a desk looking tidy - it's practically invisible!

And there are 7 cord spaces, so this will cover everything I need!

Phoozy Thermal Capsule - Value $30

Besides being fun to say out loud, this Phoozy protects your phone from sun, heat, cold, and shock.

It snuggly fit an iPhone 7+, so it should work for all/most phones.

It velcros shut, so you can still charge a phone while it is in the case, or connect headphones.

And the case doesn't interfere with Bluetooth or cellular reception. Plus you get bonus padding for drop protection!

I'm not spending too much time in extreme weather, but there have been a few days this summer where my phone powered down because of sun/heat exposure, so this will be great for anytime I need to be in the sun with my phone. (This would work great for winter sports, too!)

Hatton Henry Bag Co Calf Hair Cord Keeper - Retail Value Listed $8

This little snap case is designed to hold earbuds or other wires you'd like to stay tangle-free.

Here it is in action:

This is the one item for me in the box that I wasn't loving. I don't own any Calf Hair leather products, and it just felt a little off-putting to me. (Totally my personal preference, I'm sure I have a friend who will gladly use this.)

Verdict: This box has a retail listed value of about $226. I think that's great for a $100 box, especially considering that Happy Rebel did a technology box - I'm sure margins make it harder to get a good value on a technology box than on a beauty box. (And I LOVE the Bluetooth earbud!)

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? As of 9/26, yes! (If the box for the current season is available, your first box will be shipped within 5 business days. If the current season’s box is sold out, your first box will be shipped the following season. Email [email protected] to verify before placing your order.)

Coupon – No coupons available at this time.

Value Breakdown: At $100 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • USB Outlet: $8.85
  • Bluetooth Earbud: $66.37
  • Acrylic Cord Holder: $7.96
  • Phoozy: $13.27
  • Earbud Cord Keeper: $3.54

I wasn’t really sure at first how I would feel about this box, but I really love it. The cord keeper, the acrylic cord holder, and the plug (I got lime) are pretty useful, the Phoozy sleeve thing is going to be really cool to try, and I am going to use the earpiece at the gym, I think.

Hmm nothing in this box goes with their Jill-Kargman-adult-punk-goth-chic that they originally seemed like they were trying to do. Each box really just seems to get further from that, and this has nothing that screams, or even politely whispers, “rebel” to me. It’s a good lifestyle box aside from that though.

I think this box is great. I will use almost all of it. The one item that is not my style I will either gift or put on swaps. I am really happy with the fall box.

I didn’t think I would like the earpiece and the phoozy bag, but they are awesome!! My fav part is the bullet is a charger so you get some extra life from the battery when you’re on the go. I’ve been using it every day. Great job, Happy Rebel.

This is the sort of lifestyle box that’s perfect for me, but the price is too rich for my blood. Oh well. Maybe one day…

Gracie

Calf??? How tacky and CRUEL.

jenny

a simple google search would clear up your misconception. calf hair is leather with the cow’s hair still intact. it is made from adult animals.

Thank you for that, was getting ready to recommend a self-education here as well. Lol. C’mon people!

Ellie

Hi Liz—could you please answer a question about the phoozy? It sounds like it will stay on while in the case? My phone overheated twice this summer while using it as a gps. This sounds like it might be a great solution!

@HappyRebelBox

Hi Ellie! Yes, the Phoozy can remain on while in the case. It protects your phone without disrupting the signal. Feel free to email us if you have any additional questions!

Product made of skin…no one bats an eye. Said skin has a hair on it…everyone loses their mind.

Reply ButtonReply

Erin

The one I got has hair about an inch long – I tried to give it away but everyone was creeped out and said it was “too much” or “too real.” This is why people are more likely to be put off by fur products. It’s much harder to disassociate when you can pet it.

And worse than that, they have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about! Calf is just another name for leather, it’s not made from baby cows. Similarly, kitten heels aren’t made from kittens, and girl scout cookies aren’t made from girl scouts. The level of ignorance is astounding!

Reply ButtonReply

Punkykiki

The total lack of compassion here is also astounding.

Amanda

Your equivocation here is astounding. Are any cookies made from people much less young girls? Are any articles of clothing actually made from kittens?

It is not unreasonable for a person who sees a leather product described as “calf” to assume it is made from the hide of baby cows. Could they be incorrect in this particular instance? Yes. However, there are in fact high end handbags and other goods that are actually calfskin, i.e., made from actual baby cows. So perhaps you are also in a group of people who can be described as “no idea what they’re talking about.” Perhaps your level of ignorance is also astounding.

Stefanie

I love this comment. I am amazed how many people open their mouth without the knowledge to back it up. Unbelievable.

Erin

Michelle – it’s not akin to kitten heels being made from kittens. Millions of calves are slaughtered annually as waste of the dairy industry (think… veal).

Personally, I don’t think it makes a difference if the being is a baby or an adult, which is why I don’t use leather. But if that’s a deal breaker for some people, then great. Maybe they will buy less leather!

JA

So, does this mean that my favorite candy, Nerds, is NOT made from kids in the chess and science clubs? I want to be sure……

glenda

“kitten heels aren’t made from kittens” LMAO!

Helen

It’s disgusting with or without hair. It’s a BABY cow for goodness sake. I am totally turned off this box now.

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

It’s not from a baby cow, that’s just the name. Just like pony hair shoes/bags aren’t from ponies, or horses for that matter.

It’s the same as leather, essentially. If you’re ok with leather or eating beef, you should be fine with this.

jenny

it’s not baby animals. it’s just leather with the hair still on it.

Terry

Yep.

Zo

Double yep

Helen

I am someone and I most certainly do bat an eye at products made from the skin of baby animals.

Makenzie

I love how each box gives to a different charity. I respect that. 🙂

This is my first Happy Rebel box and I am totally digging it! Such a neat box of useful items. That Bluetooth is gonna get tons of use and I love the wall charger too. It’s not often I can say that I pulled two items from a box and started using them right away! I’m really glad I got this box!!!

Darcie

Hi Liz, I think the Phoozy retails for $30.

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Thank you – updated!

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

Phoozy value says $7.
Then at the end with the value breakdown says $13.27?

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Whoops! That should be $30. Not even sure how I made that mistake! 🙁
