NINE WEST - Cold Shoulder Top In Blue
Oh no! So, live and learn, Nine West seems to run small. This is why it's so important to look at other member's reviews and Gwynnie Bee's own suggestions. This spandex top was meant to be body conscious, but this one was too small for me as well. It looked great on the model!
This silk tunic is absolutely gorgeous, but, like many Johnny Was pieces, it looks a little frumpy on me. It was comfortable, though, and I actually got some compliments on the embroidery. I think it would look a lot better on someone taller and/or more long-legged.
CITY CHIC - Boho Zip Front Tunic Dress
This is the third or fourth City Chic dress with this exact cut that I have rented, and I absolutely love them! You would think that the blousing at the hips would be a bad move, but for some reason it works and is actually a bit slimming! Perhaps it's because of the definition at the waist.
LUCKY BRAND - Tee Dress In Navy Multi
My husband commented that this dress is "elegant." That seems like an odd comment to me since it is a knit tee dress, but it dressed up beautifully with pearls and neutral pumps for church one day. It was also really comfortable, obviously! I am huge fan of Lucky Brand!
AINSLEY - Jaime Dress In Darkest Indigo
This dress looks fine on me, I think, but not particularly flattering. I wanted to try it because it looks crisp and simple, like the ideal PTA Mom dress, but it's just not my style at all. Oh well!
LUCKY BRAND - Open Floral Printed Top
I really liked wearing this top! The underlay is knit and very comfortable, and the chiffon faux outer layer is really pretty and makes the top look much dressier. I also like the cut out detail on the sleeves. The only problem I had with this top is that it seems to have been washed by a previous renter, and it had a weird smell. I always mention this in my review when this happens, and if you look back at my previous Gwynnie Bee reviews, you will see that it is a rare occurence. I washed and wore it anyway, and it felt great.
Verdict: I love Gwynnie Bee! This month I loved both the Lucky pieces and the City Chic dress. I also got some misses, but that happens sometimes. I like trying new things all the time, and Gwynnie Bee gives me loads of new options! It's so fun!
