The Blue Rose Dress, size 2x (brand and retail value unavailable)
I decided to call this dress “The Blue Rose” because I am a gigantic Twin Peaks nerd and this feels like something Annie may have worn on a day date with Special Agent Dale Cooper. Perfect since it is from the “Romantic” category, right? The material is light polyester with ample stretch. Considering this dress could be forty years old, its condition is impeccable! There are no stains, worn spots, tears, odors— it is in fantastic shape. This is doubly impressive because it is often near impossible to find quality vintage in plus sizes. Any big, bodacious babe that is a vintage fiend can tell you that the struggle is real! I was leery that the dress wouldn’t fit me due to being disappointed so many times before ordering plus vintage on Etsy or Ebay. This dress fits perfectly though, like a dream. The matching belt is such a cute detail and adds great definition at the waist. I styled it with my gold Aerosole flats, a necklace from Jewelry Subscription Box, and my trusty biker jacket to bring a modern twist. This dress is a great value too because it can easily translate into fall weather with tights and ankle booties!
Verdict: I love CHC Vintage! I am a huge fan of hitting up flea markets, antique malls, estate sales, and thrift stores in hopes of finding vintage clothes, but it can be a challenge for a woman of size like myself. It’s like looking for a unicorn at instances! With CHC, you get a high-quality vintage piece for a reasonable price without having to jump into a bin at Goodwill or spend out the nose for it on Etsy. This is an incredibly valuable and convenient service!
Do you love CHC Vintage as much as I do? What is your favorite piece from them?
