August was my absolute favorite delivery from The Dapper Dog Box! It was themed “Aloha Nights”.

It comes with an information card that gives you a few details about the items inside, but really just highlights 1-2 items.

Bowaddo “Aloha Nights” Bandana – Value $20

Let’s start with the best item of the box – a Bowaddo bandana. I’m not sure if this was created for the box, but I couldn’t find it in their shop, so the value you see is from the information card – but does line up with a lot of their other bandanas.

It’s got that beachy vibe to perfectly suit the theme.

My favorite part is that it connects with a button! Much easier than trying to tighten and knot it, in my opinion.

The only way this could be cuter is with a cute puppy…

Our hearts collectively broke when we saw this picture – too cute!

This turned out to be much more comfortable than past bandanas – he wore this the rest of the day!

Patchwork Seahorse Toy – Value $13 on Amazon

The first of two sea-themed toys is this large seahorse.

It’s got a squeaker inside – besides that, it’s your normal plush toy.

Buckles was prepared to fend of all sea creatures on this day! While the toy was on the large size, it actually worked quite well for him.

Grriggles Shark Toy – Value $5-6

The second toy comes from Grriggles – the red shark.

Like the seahorse – it’s a larger plush toy with a squeaker inside.

Staring down the enemy.

HavePaws Talkin’ Turkey Jerky Chips – Value $10

This month also came with a bag of treats – turkey jerky to be specific – two words that make Buckles go crazy!

These were easy to portion control – which was important because our dog goes a bit bananas for anything turkey or jerky, so the combination is a real hit.

Those are determined eyes!

Barkworthies Large Beef Gullet Strip – Value $2-3

The last item is a really larger beef chew.

It was the size of the box! Our dog has digestive issues with chews like this, so it will have to be gifted.

Verdict: As soon as I put on the bandana, it was over, this box was a winner and my favorite from The Dapper Dog Box! They did a good job with the theme, while still including a clothing item, treats, and toys – I really couldn’t ask for me from a dog box!

What did you think of the August 2017 box from The Dapper Dog Box?

  2. How do you get Buckles to stand/sit still like that for the bandana pics? He seems to be looking intently at something…

    • For any photo you see of Buckles, it’s safe to assume someone is shaking a treat bag behind the camera 😉

  3. I 👏 lOVE 👏 BUCKLES 👏

  4. Buckles in the Aloha bandanna! I don’t have words! So So Cute!!!!

As always he looks like he was a great helper in this unboxing and review.

We need a plush or key chain of Buckles if you ever do another sub box. Buckles for all!

  5. Love the little dog. Is he a rescue to be given away? I will take him and call him Buckles.

    • Oh no Virgina, Buckles belongs to Liz and Eric. if anyone gets Buckles, I will have to adopt him first. i saw him first and already use buckles as my passwords. I love Buckles

    • Buckles belongs to Liz and Eric. I would love a Buckles too

      • Ahem. Liz and Eric belong to Buckles. This is plainly obvious to me. Hahahaha!!! 😂😂

    • I have a dog about the same size as Buckles so I think it would be in the best interest of Buckles for us to have first dibs if anyone else is to get Buckles as Buckles would have a companion to play with and share similar sized subscription boxes.

  6. These pics are so freakin cute! I love how big buckle’s eyes get when he sees treats…
