We have the first spoiler for the POPSUGAR Must Have Limited Edition Fall 2017 box! (POPSUGAR sent us this item early so we can answer any questions you might have about it.)

The POPSUGAR Must Have Limited Edition Fall 2017 box will include:

Hat Attack Lightweight Layer Black Poncho - Retail Value $88

When the weather gets a little chilly, this stylish poncho will keep you cozy atop a dress or pair of jeans. The on-trend cover-up can be work off the shoulder or as a boatneck, depending on how you adjust the incredibly soft material.

This is a soft, 100% acrylic knit, that you can wear as a boatneck style, or diagonal.

Here's how I'm wearing it:

My fall/winter go-to look is: leggings, boots, long-sleeve mini dress, and a vest. I've been thinking about getting a poncho and/or a moto jacket for alternative vest options, and I'm digging the poncho look!

And we're doing something a little different for this spoiler! Several MSA reviewers are modeling it so you can see how it looks with different styles and body types!

From Jess:

I love the lightweight, open knit of this poncho! It makes for a versatile transition piece leading into chillier months (seriously though -- is it fall yet?). It's also awesome that you can throw it on over a tee shirt and jeans for an instantly polished look, and that's exactly what I did here. Being that I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant, loose and comfy is the name of my game. I finished the look with my favorite suede mules, some bold earrings, and a unique bamboo clutch to make a bit of a statement.

From Anna:

I'm not super into the boho/festival trend. I wanted to create a look that felt more like the countryside of Sweden than the mainstage at Coachella. To do that, I knew I had to match the breeziness of the poncho with something structured, like this striped, collared shirt. The wood-soled platform shoes have a 70s vibe that complements the retro feeling of the poncho, but again, their simplicity and structure saves the look from seeming too hippie for my tastes.

From Nicole:

Ponchos pair incredibly well with jeans and boots for the fall, but I wanted to try to go in a different direction. I paired the poncho for both looks with an effortlessly cool and classic long sleeved striped top. I couldn’t decide what look was my favorite, so I decided to showcase the poncho and my striped top in two different looks. I wanted to bring a pop of color, so I threw in the whole paint can with my golden Eloquii neoprene pencil skirt. I topped off this bold look with knee high black socks and my T.U.K leopard buckled creeper oxfords. You can’t go wrong with leopard print, am I right?

For my second look, I wanted to feel like Iggy Pop if he wanted to go “Search and Destroy” for a haunted hay ride in a cozy poncho. I put on my favorite ASOS Curve spandex black disco pants and my new Torrid boots that have this fantastic stud and chain detail. You won’t be a forgotten boy or girl in that look!

From Sara:

Wow, the open crochet is lightweight, but also surprisingly warm! I love to pair oversized tops with skinny denim or leggings, so this poncho is a match made in heaven with my beloved faux leather leggings from Trunk Club. Since there are no sleeve holes, I decided to shift the poncho a bit to create a boat neckline, rather than a v-neck in the front and back. Combined with a couple neutral textile accessories in my wardrobe, this outfit is full of texture and getting me excited for the cooler weather heading my way!

What do you think of the first spoiler? Is it helpful to see the spoiler modeled this way?

If anybody wants to swap the poncho, I would love to get one. 🙂 Name is linked to swap profile.

I would totally buy this box if I didn’t suspect my husband would leave me; I might have went a bit crazy with subs this year. 🙁

Hi Liz, do you have any insight as to when the Fall LE box is going to ship? I might need to update my address depending when this ships.

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

The website says by September 21st.

Amyr

Does the poncho go over the head or is it open? I love it whatever especially after seeing it style by so many people with different body types and style. Every single one of them is adorable 🙂

I think having all you beautiful ladies try this item on was amazing. Super helpful! It will remind PS thatt we all come in many sexy shapes and sizes. I could never throw down this kind of cash but for those of ya that can this spoiler is a nice one… I always loved PS and can’t wait until black friday again to get the year deal instead of the 6 month. They really haven’t had a great deal since and they slowed down on the mystery boxes which is good for me because I haven’t recieved a few boxes so the mystery box will prob have a few things that I don’t have already.

Cynthia

Oh it was very helpful I don’t want it now. Thank you.

I’m having an airhead moment. Do we know when this box is going to start to ship???? I remember quite a few of the PopSugar LE boxes letting us know, when they were shipping, in the advertising of the box going on sale. I think I remember receiving it within the same week of the Fall Rachel Zoe Box of Style box last year.

Does anyone know when this is going to start to ship??? Thanks guys!! 🙂

Susan

They said it would be shipped BY September 21st on their website under more info in the LE page.

Thanks, Susan! I knew I was having an airhead moment. LOL

The poncho is cute, I would get this box if I didn’t already have two ponchos. Great idea for your audience in having various writers model the item!

The poncho looks so beautiful on everyone! Liz, those boots 😍 (If only I could wear heals that high!), Jess, that bag 🤤, Anna, I need your jeans! 😜 Nicole, I love your bold and fearless style! 💗 And Sara, I think your styling of the poncho is the closest to my style. That being said…I am a cat mom to two (one is horribly mischievous 😼) and I am 1,000% certain that I will be a walking talking cat toy if I wear all that fringe and I’ll have an $88 ball of acrylic yarn for him to drag around the house! 🤦‍♀️ Unfortunately, I’ve already purchased the box so mine is already up for swap. 🤷‍♀️ What can a girl with major FOMO do? 😬

Lil

Acrylic is on my list of itchy fabrics — not as bad as wool, but it still itches. So, big no on this for me.

Love this spoiler! FFF totally flopped this fall. This black cover up is feminine and versatile. I am smitten with how it looks on many different women and body types. I feel like PSMH’s staff made an effort to try and pick something that would appeal to grown women who don’t want to wear a blanket shawl or carry a denim gym bag with horrific grammar (FFF). The last time denim bags were “in” was the 80’s. Let us not re-live fanny packs, side pony tails, and crimped hair shall we? #justsayno

Reply ButtonReply

stfne

I’m pretty sure the 80s are back “in.” I’m seeing fanny packs all over every festival and concert I’ve been to this summer. As for these ponchos things….I haven’t worn one since high school so….apparently PS is taking us back to the 90s haha

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I agree! This summer alone, I’ve seen so many people (mostly guys) in cutoff jean shorts. I honestly can’t remember seeing that in years! Also, I’ve been seeing more & more guys with the 80’s haircuts that always remind me of the teens in the first Karate Kid.

Emily

You all look adorable. I would never wear this, but I love the way this was presented!

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

I was disappointed seeing the spoiler being a poncho at first, but seeing it styled so many different ways definitely changed my mind. I’ve been waiting for a spoiler before I made the purchase and I do love a poncho but it’s not enough to make me buy this box. You guys all look so adorable and I love seeing everyone’s different personalities shine through in how they style it! If the next spoiler is good I’m definitely in on this box!

Reply ButtonReply

Sadela

I think I will order the boots Liz is wearing. I would like to recreate that whole look lol! Have to decide it I should order this box first though…

Reply ButtonReply

Sadela

Well, this poncho caught my attention. Was planning to wait until box goes on sale until I read MSA. Now I see that I kind if love ❤️ the poncho AND i dont have anything like it AND i have been wanting to try this style for like 2 seasons already. Thank you so much to comments for pointing out fall LE box has sold out previously so there’s a good chance it might not go on sale 😬

Thoughts pls— do y’all think this would look nice belted??
Also, think it’s going to pill quickly?

Kc

Don’t like this- up on swap already.

I keep hoping one day Popsugar will do a LE Spa box. Maybe for Mothers Day or something. Just think, Cozy luxe bath robe, chocolates, fancy stemware, mud mask, oil diffuser, etc etc. SO MANY possibilities. How fun would that be?!? Please Popsugar??

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

Love that idea!

Reply ButtonReply

Amyr

It would be nice to see one of these during the holiday season. I would rather have something like this versus the Neiman Marcus boxes. I am so wanting a real silk robe but they are so expensive!

Reply ButtonReply

Adele

Add me to loving that idea, I would buy that box!

Reply ButtonReply

Meredith

I would love if they did a spa box even if it was limited edition I would buy it, can never go wrong with doing an at home spa. Especially in winter months 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Kiales

I’m all in on this theoretical box! haha

Reply ButtonReply

X

OMG! Best idea ever! That box would surely sell out.

Reply ButtonReply

Lil

Oh my goodness. A luxe, non-polyester, real, cozy bath robe is something that would be wonderful and yet I don’t think I’ve ever seen it in a box. Millions of throws, towels, scarves, and blankets, but no robe! I hope someone does this. I would buy at least 2, maybe more!!!

Reply ButtonReply

judy

I LOVE that idea…. “Queen for a Day”…… we may have to build our own box!!! 😀

A few thoughts:

-Glad some of you love it!! Always happy to see PS doing well and people being happy with the boxes.
– I don’t hate it. I’ll use it. Doesn’t seem very exciting to me, though, nor very fashion-forward. Also not very luxe given that it’s acrylic and RV is $88. But that’s ok, I will wear it.
-Really wish this was shipping sooner because it would be perfect (cozy!) for the plane to Europe this fall!
-I am happy that although it doesn’t seem too luxe at $88, that leaves $350+ of value! I also appreciate that the RV isn’t suuuuper inflated like most pieces in these boxes. Although $88 is a little high, it’s to be expected that the values are a little inflated.
-Love the new approach of all the models! Really helps.
-I’m a teensy bit tired of the one-size-fits-all stuff. I think that it either looks huge on smaller people or doesn’t fit larger people most of the time, and that’s not really fair to most people. Would much rather they take our sizes and send us something more custom.
-Hoping for some nice luxe skincare and some fun jewelry!!

judy

Good thoughts….. I second your last ……. hoping for some nice LUXE skincare and fun jewelry!!! (I’ve already gifted this spoiler… )

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

It was SO helpful to see the poncho styled different ways, on reviewers with different body types. You all look fab!

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

I second that! Love this idea and you all look awesome!

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

You all look great and kudos for showing options for everyone. However, it doesn’t tempt me at all. Not a poncho gal and definitely not a ‘fringe’ gal.

The next spoiler would have to make me drool in order for me to get this one. That’s okay, I have bought too much lately!

Reply ButtonReply

mtvb

Totally agree. Easy pass for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Joanna

I’m more of a blazer girl than a poncho girl, but you all look great!!

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

Love both the spoiler and the idea to show it on a variety of models. You all look fabulous, and I’m glad I ordered this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Courtney

I love seeing the poncho on different body types! It looks great on everyone!

Reply ButtonReply

Lt

Everyone looks cute. But, that said, there is no world in which an acrylic poncho is worth $88. There is nothing luxe about that poncho- you really could get lambswool or even a cashmere blend for that price (or on sale for that price). That’s about what I paid for a gorgeous cashmere blend one from garnet hill last year. This looks like something you can easily pick up at target.

Reply ButtonReply

Moe Q

I seriously value your honesty. I was thinking the same thing but wondering why most of the people in the comments seemed to be okay with how cheap it looks. If it were cashmere or wool, it would be another story. If this is the only spoiler they intend on giving out, its a terrible one. I hope that they give us a one up else I will be bailing on my plans to purchase a fall box this year.

Reply ButtonReply

judy

Moe Q …. in total agreement – all the girls looked super cute but – I’ve gifted mine and am hoping that the rest of the box is better – I will forever wait for spoilers will all boxes going forward – and yes, a cashmere wrap can easily be bought for $88 by Thanksgiving at any Macys….

Jessica

Love the Garnet Hill brand! In general, I would also prefer natural materials to synthetic. But I also acknowledge that it makes sense for sub boxes to include synthetic materials–many subscribers may have allergies or ideologies (such as veganism) that would prevent them from wearing fabrics like wool or cashmere.

Reply ButtonReply

Punkykiki

Thank you, Jessica!!! There are quite a few of us who prefer bunny hair to stay on the bunny!!! And that goes for any fur, skin, wool, silk, feathers, etc. Do not think that just because the final product may not actually kill the animal (like wool), it is still incredibly cruel. The animal is slaughtered when he or she stops producing the same amount or “quality.” Get all the happy cartoonish images out of your head and instead, watch some “real life” videos. 😔

Erin

I would never EVER buy a poncho, so I’m happy to get one in a gift box. I love that my subs take me out of my fashion comfort zone! I never thought I’d wear a kimono either; but I’ve gotten tons of compliments on the one from RZBOS!
