Simpli Mandi Mermaid Treat Scrub, 4 oz - Value $6.88 (Listed Value $11.00. Buy an 8 oz jar for $13.75 at Simpli Mandi)

I love a good scrub! This pinkish potion contains super fine sugar crystals that polish the skin ever so gently and coconut milk to soothe and moisten. I loved the softness this cruelty-free, organic formula brought to my skin, and I was in love with the rosy fragrance—it's soft and natural smelling, rather than overpowering or artificial.

I did notice that it's a bit cheaper on the Simpli Mandi Etsy shop than it is listed here on the info card, just FYI.

Cypress Skincare Face Love, 1 fl oz - Value $20.00

While it comes in a spray bottle, I found this nourishing oil to be a little too heavy to just spritz on my face like a mist. Instead, I spritzed a bit onto the back of my hand and massaged it onto my face like I would a moisturizer. It instantly made my face say "ahh"! A little goes a long way, and I found that it took a moment to fully absorb into my skin, so this little bottle should last a good while.

Z Glow Skincare Deluxe Sample of Blueberry Antioxidant Mask - Listed Value $6.50

This sample doesn't come with any information on how much product is inside the 1.5 inch tall container, so I'm going to defer to the listed value on this one. I wasn't sure how best to use the mask, either, since there aren't instructions, but as it goes on as easily as a moisturizer, I popped it on that way and just let it sit. It ended up soaking in/drying on my skin, so I didn't have anything to remove, really. But it did make my skin feel soft and nourished. Best of all, it smells like blueberry jam!

Palmetto Derma Get Glowing Rose Refreshing Toner, 1 fl oz - Value $8.00 (Listed Value $18.00. Buy a 4 oz bottle for $32.00 on the Palmetto Derma site.)

Again, I noticed a little pricing discrepancy with this item. The info card lists it as $18.00, but when I pro-rate the cost based on the vendor's price, it's just $8.00. There may be some shipping or other fees that make up that $10.00 difference, but I was surprised!

This toner is really lovely though. It's cruelty-free and made with organic ingredients and really did leave my skin feeling lighter and more awake with just a quick misting. I love that it's a smaller bottle that I can tuck into my purse and use on the go!

Verdict: Kloverbox only costs $25.00 per month (with free shipping), but I received about $41.00 of product inside, based on my estimations. There were some discrepancies between what the info card valued things at and how they're priced elsewhere online—while I was confused about the difference, I don't feel like I didn't get my money's worth out of the items I got. The products are mostly small (I wish there was maybe one more full-sized product in the box), but I like that they'll work well for travel or on the go. I love the scrub best of all—especially after a summer of tropical scents, I'm so glad that this mermaid-themed item mixed things up with an earthier scent that can see me into fall!

What do you think of the August Kloverbox

I have that same face oil and use it with facial scrub/peels so that I get the exfoliation without the dryness.

I too have that face love oil and also found it very heavy. I spray it on a cotton round and it makes a great make-up remover. I love that its organic so no harsh chemicals or fragrances on my eyes. 🙂

I use the face oil as part one of a double-cleanse at night (part two is a gentle facial soap). It removes eye makeup very well, and the castor oil in it is good for your eyelashes and eyebrows, too.

The first time I tried an oil as a cleanser, I was giving it major side-eye, but IT. IS. THE. BEST. THING! My makeup comes off with barely any effort, and my skin feels soft and moisturized afterward. I can’t wait to try it with this face oil, like you did, Kathleen! Thanks all, for reading 🙂
