Glamour Ghoul Box's logo is NOT messing around! That looks like a severed zombie hand to me, clenching some makeup and a knife!

This month's theme is "Luna", which is perfect, with the solar eclipse n' all. Here you'll find a breakdown of everything you received.

There's also a card announcing that Spoiled Lips has a new lipstick subscription service and they're offering Glamour Ghoul fans 50% off!

Mystic Moon Bubble Bar - Value $7.50

The first item in the box is a really cool large bubble bar! Glamour Ghoul always includes products from Etsy sellers, and this one comes from Nature's Whimsy. The bubble bar is handmade and contains all sorts of essential oils and vitamins. When you're ready to use, you break it up and drop it into a hot bath. It smells wonderful!

Full Moon Necklace - Listed Value $12

Next, we have a necklace made by GoreJess Laboratory (I see what she did there). This isn't quite my style of jewelry, but I like that it's on black metal and that the chain isn't ridiculously long (when stretched out flat, it hangs about 9"). The scene inside the bubble-like pendant is a half-lit moon amongst a cloudy night. I do like it but will most likely pass it on to a friend.

"Moon of My Life" Wax Melt - Listed Value $ 1.75

I didn't know what a "wax melt" was until just now. Apparently, these are wickless scented candles that you put in a melter of your choice. I don't have anything that would melt this, so, unfortunately, I can't use this unless I were to purchase one. Wish it was a candle! This particular wax melt is pale pink with gold holographic glitter in it and is scented with a sugary vanilla. Pretty!

Full Moon Soap with Glowing Stars - Listed Value $9

Sick Soaps has some pretty gross and amazing soaps! This one is not gross at all, but very awesome! I didn't notice it was a beautiful blue color until I was photographing it. I love that the scent is Basil Sage Mint - that's one of my favorite combos and I actually recently ran out of a similarly scented handmade soap I bought earlier this year. I bet this is gonna look even cooler as I continue to use it!

Pink Moon Keychain - Listed Value $10

Something about this keychain from Koffinco looks edible to me! Or it looks like a sponge due to its moon craters. I can't tell what this is made out of, but it must be a plastic/resin sort of material. It's super lightweight, and even though I want to eat it, I think it's pretty unique! I'll have to use this for an extra set of keys for friends, the pink will make them hard to lose!

Moon Child Sticker - Listed Value $2

I'm not sure that this sticker is worth $2, but it is cute. It's 2" squared and just a glossy paper.

Pocket Crystal in Moonstone - Value $2?

This itsy bitsy Moonstone crystal is from The Risky Rabbit (oh hey, they're in Pittsburgh!), and isn't listed on the info card for some reason. I love crystals, so this is a great little item, but it is TINY (about the size of my pinky nail). Maybe it's just a free bonus item?

Verdict: For $30 plus shipping (it was $7.10 to Pittsburgh), Glamour Ghoul Box didn't really wow me. It seemed like their boxes normally contain makeup, but I didn't receive any this month, which is a bummer. I really loved the Luna theme, but most of the items didn't seem like things I'd choose on my own. I am excited about the bath items, but the sticker seems like a freebie and the wax melt is useless to me without owning a melter. Lots of buts in this verdict, ugh! I really wanted to like Glamour Ghoul because I love that they are spotlighting small Etsy makers and have gothy/horror vibes. Perhaps next month will be better?

Marne, welcome to the wonderful world of wax melts! 💗😆 It’s much cheaper than candles and WAY more fun! There’s tons of Facebook groups for those who enjoy melting and a TON of different indie wax makers!!! Love this stuff!!!!!!! 🤤😍

If you decide to buy a warmer may I suggest this one, or a similar electric design and not one with a bulb. bit.ly/2w3BNOT I own two of these and three of the older bulb style warmers and definitely prefer the electric style (they are safer also!)

For wax melt may I suggest:

-Vapid (they also make indie nail polish & skincare!). http://vapid.mybigcommerce.com

-Satin Suzie Scents http://satinsuziescents.com

-Barrett Wax Crafts https://barrettwaxcrafts.com

-Back Forty Wax https://www.backfortywaxco.com

-The Melt Zone http://www.themeltzone.com

-RG Wax Melts https://www.rgwax.com

-Super Tarts (my fav although they all are amazing!) https://shopsupertarts.com

OMGosh, Mandy! Thanks for all this info! I will have to look into this. You’re so sweet to recommend a great warmer! Glad to see how much of a community there is for these. I had no idea!

I wish I would have got this box instead of the classic monsters box theme I got. I like moon themes. This one seems to have a usable value. I was disappointed with the quality of items for $35 my first box too so I canceled. The themes seem cool, but I want items I can use/feel I’m getting my money’s worth

I’ve subbed with GG for the last few months and this box was a big disappointment to me. I think it was a great theme but the items picked out were very cheap to me. A sticker should be free – it costs pennies to make. I know the creator of the keychain placed the value at $10 but I wouldn’t pay $10 for it. And TWO soaps? I get one is a bubble bar but let’s be honest, they’re basically the same thing. I was saddened about no makeup or anything useful besides a necklace. And the moonstone would be cool if it was big enough to do anything with: I know if I unwrap it I’ll lose it.

I didn’t get the moonstone either. Too bad, I would have liked it :(. I was disappointed with this months box.

Didn’t jump in on this one but did go for the Spoiled Lips for $7.50 to try. Thanks for the honest review.

I had gotten the Nightmare Before Christmas box and was highly disappointed with the quality of items. I decided after that I would no longer get the box, was such a waste of money to me.
