This lipstick is infused with sunflower seed oil, shea butter, coconut oil, lavender extract, and lemon extract. This shade, ‘Posh,’ is a beautiful peach with fine golden shimmer and a subtle vanilla scent. The quality of this lipstick is spot on! It was really pigmented, moisturizing, and lasted as long as my MAC lipsticks!

They also included information cards and a five-dollar discount code to purchase products from their website.

Elanveda Skin Renue – 5ml Value $14

The brand notes that this natural blend of essential oils ‘balances moisture levels in dry and oily skin’ and ‘help(s) to diminish the appearance of existing wrinkles while reducing the formation of new ones.’  This serum is formulated with organic borage oil, organic açaí oil, organic pomegranate seed oil, marula seed oil, and many more!

The roller ball applicator made it hard to gauge how many drops I used. This serum has quite a strong herbal scent that I’m not a big fan of, but I think it absorbed quickly when applied to slightly moist skin. While I didn’t notice any difference in my facial oil production (it didn’t make my face feel any more or less oily than usual), it moisturized and soothed my skin well.

Gaffer & Child Facial Cleanser – 59ml Value $26

Gaffer & Child products are 100% raw, organic, vegan, non-GMO, and made in the United States using sustainably sourced ingredients. I’m impressed by how short and easy to understand their ingredient list is.

Despite all the oils (sunflower oil, coconut oil, olive oil, etc.) included, this cleanser is very light and refreshing, with a hint of lavender scent. I have been using it as my morning cleanser, and I really like how it cleaned my skin without stripping off the moisture. I couldn’t lather this product as suggested but I don’t think that affected the quality of the product at all.

Mooi Lab Eyeshadow Compact Duo in Benevolent – Listed value $12

This eyeshadow is custom made exclusively for Benevolent Beauty Box subscribers! Unfortunately, mine arrived crushed. I emailed their customer service right away and received a response within 24 hours – impressive!

“I’m so Sorry! Normally I would have a replacement sent out asap but because these were made special for the box, it will take longer. I’ve had other subscribers with the same problem so I just wanted to let you know I’m in contact with the vendor to see if we can get things sorted as soon as possible. Please know that if you would like a replacement, I would be more than happy to send one, just let me know!”

So if you have a similar problem, please let them know and I’m sure that the replacement will be sent out shortly.

Orglamix Helium HD Flawless Finish – 2.5g Value $24

This translucent powder is super fine, mattifying, didn’t change the color of my makeup, and did a great job blurring out my pores. I don’t think I can ask any more from a setting powder! A little goes a long way for this product, too! Orglamix also sells a subscription box (check out Ragan’s reviews to learn more).

And this is the look I completed with everything I received from Benevolent Beauty Box this month. I love this lip color!

Verdict: The value of this box added up to $98, which is more than 3 times the cost of the box! I like that their product selection is a mix of makeup and skincare items, and I’m happy to learn more about new, natural, and cruelty-free brands as well. Being able to choose my color preference is definitely a big plus!

Jira discovered the world of subscription boxes when she first moved to New York in 2017 (subscription box is not a thing in her home country!). Thanks to MSA, she’s now subscribed to almost 10 beauty and lifestyle boxes, with FabFitFun, BeautyFIX, and Clean Beauty Box as her favorites. Ps. Her boyfriend thinks that she’s only subscribed to Ipsy, so please keep this a secret between us 😉

  1. Used the Orglamix powder today and it has a smooth silky feel. Going to either buy another powder or get a second sub for my daughter! This is definitely replacing my smashbox powder!

  2. Thank you Benevolent Beauty, another classy and luxurious box!

  3. Benevolent Beauty, you delivered another classy box!!

  4. That lip color looks so nice on you!

    • Thank you! I love it too 🙂

  5. I went to order that beautiful lipstick but on their website but the Posh color looks like a purple color on their site. There are a couple that look like the peach shade you have but am not sure which one :/ Phoenix or Siesta maybe, but Posh is definitely a purplish color.

    • I was so confused by that too. I got Mulberry in my box and it looks more like the Posh on the website in the tube (deep purple) instead of the mauve shade they say it is. Luckily it’s not that bold on my lips. I also gave up trying to buy more since I was afraid they wouldn’t match the pics.

    • Oddly enough, it says ‘Posh’ on the lipstick in this review

      • I received the same core as the one in the review and the name on my lipstick says “posh”… Weird? Maybe contact Beautiful Birdie Cosmetics in Color and check – could be wrong image on their website…?

        • *argh color not core

  6. Mine was the same. They are going to try to have more made and sent with next box. I really liked the lipstick.

  7. This box looks awesome — you look beautiful!

    • Thank you Ash! I agree that BBB is doing a great job curating too!

  8. My eye-shadow was crushed too. I emailed a pic of it by my shipping label (per website) and quickly received the sane response.

I really love their customer service and in a time when I have decided to par down my subs Benevolent Beauty Box has elevated itself amongst other subs. Of course, if I didn’t like the products I wouldn’t continue to survive but I love the products.

Just an all around great beauty sub.

  9. Every month I’m so curious what the other color variations are and have to check them out to see if I have FOMO. And so far every time the color I get would be the color I would have chosen. This time I got the Mulberry lipstick (I also have neutral and light as my preferences) and despite it seeming dark in the tube it still goes much better with my cool skintone. I’m sooooo impressed with the personalization with this sub. And I love trying out the different products that I normally would not get. Easily one of my favorite subs. I’m hoping it never changes. 😉

  10. Great review…makes me want the box!! 🙂
