This is my 3rd month with BeautyFix and I’ve enjoyed every box but this month was great I thought. I’ve used the Luna play morning and night and I’m hooked. I already know I’ll be buying the rechargeable mini when the luna runs out of juice. The boxes for me are well worth the price because they send something I’d never buy on my own.

I just got my box and I’m so disappointed. Besides birchbox, this was my first larger sub box and I’ve always been pretty happy with it because I loved the brands dermstore carries and I can buy all the full size products I use on their site. This box blows. They basically could of sent the three spoilers and left the rest out. Nothing is large enough to see actual results. I just signed up for benevolent beauty and glossybox. I was thinking of trying goodbeing or the art of organics instead of this box because I’m just not excited about it anymore. I’m liking the idea more and more of incorporating niche, organic brands into my skincare routine. Any thoughts on boxes that would be a good swap for this? I also get allure beauty box, birchbox, scentbird and fitfab fun. I did bless box for awhile but the prices they said the box was worth were so inflated and the reason I do sub boxes is to get introduced to brands and products I won’t find at a drugstore or TJ Maxx.

Dermstore sent me this code for $5 off, then they wouldn’t let me use it!!!

I really liked the products in Yuzen box. The fall box is about to ship. In the summer box, I got a Full-size Purity of Elements Radiant Face Serum that was worth $58 in the box and my sub was only $35. All products are eco-friendly and cruelty free. I just recently signed up for Benevolent and New Beauty Test tube. I’m thinking they would be along the same lines as Beauty Fix. Those might be options that you can consider.

If you prefer to receive mostly skincare, you might like New Beauty TestTube.
For makeup I would recommend Boxycharm.

This just seems kind of ok to me. Wish I was interested in the swap, that would make it a lot more worthwhile to me 🙂 I just don’t have it in me to load as much product as I have on the site, even if I’d get fun stuff I’d like, I don’t think, it’s easier to donate it.

This box was terrible compared to other boxes in the past. I have held on in keeping this subscription because of a few items here and there that I like. However, this box was NOT worth it and I will definitely try something else for the time being!

I got a code in the mail for 5$ saving and could not wait for the normal 10$ they offer each month (for the new customers)

Thanks for the code Nika 🙂 Would the $10 off codes not work on the unsubscribed customers?

I just got my July box today and I’m excited about getting my August box! Bring on the fun!

The two DCL products in full size (1oz ea) total $240. If they send 5 ml samples, those are still worth $40. I think this box looks pretty good. I’m going to try the powder supplement in overnight oats. I agree that you can’t see results from the Keranique sample in a week but you can see if you find taking it tolerable.

Brands are great, but wish they threw in a lipgloss or something to make it more fun.

I am excited! I don’t mind small samples when it’s such pricey stuff!!
I’m really looking forward to trying the face wash, from reviews it seems the smell is not nice but product works really well. I have sensitive, blemish prone skin with large pores, I don’t care how it smells if it works.
I already taken Olly skin gumies and biotin, but I don’t mind switching it up. Samples from another sub is how I started on olly vitamins anyway.
I’m happy to see they have a set of higher end face creams, so we can use them as intended rather than only getting half a system.
I don’t understand the negativity about this box, it seems quite good to me. Just the first 2 items more then cover the cost of the box.

Agreed! I’m excited about the box 🙂

This August box will be my second box from Beauty Fix. I am not all that impressed. I just signed up for my 8th sub and my husband is subbed to 4. (Seems unfair, but he actually buys more full size products than I do after our sample/trials). If box #3 for me, in September, is like this one, not too many products I look forward to trying or if it’s like the July box, too many tiny samples. I will be looking for a replacement sub. Any suggestions for me, I am signed up for Allure/Macy/Yuzen/Walmart/Ipsy/BoxyCharm/GlossyBox. I am enjoying all of the other subscriptions and would like to look at similar boxes.

Beauty hero is good if you like a full sized luxury product with great reviews.

I get most of the boxes that you do. Allure/Macy/Walmart/Ipsy/BoxyCharm/GlossyBox. Plus I get sephora play, which I usually like 4 out of the five every time. I also still getting lip monthly which is hit and miss a lot. I did get last months beauty fix then cancelled, just wasn’t impressed. And I’ll probably be cancelling glossybox if they keep sending me stuff for the wrong skin type (yes made sure my profile was correct). I cancelled Birchbox and BB5 and stop ordering Targets. My top 4 would have Boxy Charm, Ipsy, Allure and Sephora. BeautyCon also has a nice quarterly box too.

Thank you,
I will check into them!

While the supplements are definitely not too exciting, the last ones they sent out (the melatonin ones) I would up buying a full size, so I guess you never know. Personally, minus the supplements I’m excited about everything that was sent!

I am so so angry right now. I called and canceled this sub THREE WEEKS AGO and I just got charged for it today. WHY DON’T THEY HAVE AN UNSUBSCRIBE BUTTON?! I am so done with this company.

Marissa
That’s so odd. I just emailed them and they unsubbed me each time I’ve done it.

I just received a shipment email today, and I cancelled a week ago! I’m not sure what to do now to get rid of this subscription.

I had to call to get rid of mine last time. It was an easy no question process once I figured out that they don’t cancel over email very often.

I keep hanging in there, expecting it to go back to more of the full sized products that they used to send. Supplements, really? Seems like “filler” products to me. This used to be my favorite box, but it is slipping and so will be reconsidering my sub with them. Lots of other great subs out there (and the sub folk seem to forget that). Oh well.

I completely agree! Beauty Fix used to be my favorite box, I thought I would never cancel. I cancelled a year or more ago and NEVER have FOMO. It used to be loaded with goodies, not free samples.

How did you cancel your subscription? I called and even received a cancellation email, but I was still billed.

I have subbed off & on with Beauty Fix since last year, and I always emailed them when I cancelled. I also would receive a cancellation confirmation email, and I never had any issues. Since you received the cancellation confirmation, but was still charged, it sounds like a technical or human glitch. I would email them by replying to that cancellation email to prove you cancelled, but were still charged and that you’d like them to refund the charge immediately, or you will be requesting a chargeback from your credit card company if you don’t hear back from them in 2 days (or however long you want to give them) confirming the refund.

You can still get it.

I wanted the Play badly, but after reading reviews a lot of people say it dies after a few uses. 🙁

it is meant to be used only for a short time. anywhere from 2-4 weeks of daily use. I am looking forward to it, since I don’t want to shell out over a hundred dollars for something I may not like.

The Luna Play costs $40, not $100. However, you can get the Luna Mini (which does cost $100) on eBay for $45, and it’s large, rechargeable and has different speed settings.

I am so conflicted about Beautyfix. On one hand the sample sizes are tiny and I don’t feel like the value is what it used to be. On the other hand, they do a remarkable job including an item I need or want each month.
Last month’s eye cream came about a week after I ran out of my normal eye cream. June’s eyelash serum arrived a couple weeks after I lost a cluster of approx 5 eyelashes when curling my lashes. And this month’s hair supplements are exactly what I’ve been wanting to try.
With that said, the sample size for the supplements are too small! There’s no way we can see the effects of supplements in one single week. 🙁

Are there any August promo codes for this box? I was very disappointed with my July boxes I got two $53 late felt like I was ripped off nothing but small samples & cancelled my sub but I like this box

with the exception of the Juice Beauty, I can /will use everything so to me, this is a nice box, esp since the last 2 have been.. underwhelming. and lots of interest in the JB so I know I can trade that without much effort. I am especially excited to try the Luna Play as I have been wanting one but couldn’t;t justify the price point of a full size one.

My, what a fickle group are we!!!??? I was around for last year’s May Allure Box (at least I think it was May). People were LOSING THEIR MINDS about not getting the Luna play because they oversold the box to new subscribers or had some other snafu. I was a subscriber so no drama from me but it was definitely fun to read all the comments. It was worse than Walmart on Black Friday. Someone was even so angry that she reported Allure to the Better Business Bureau. People on the thread were being AWFUL to each other. Fast forward to August 2017. The Luna Play is featured in the August 2017 BeautyFix box. The response? A resounding “meh!” People are even canceling because they DON’T WANT the Play enough to get the box with what they consider to be less than stellar contents. 😸🙃. I personally love the box and may buy a second for the Juice Beauty Cleanser.

I love the Juice Beauty, so am happy to get my two boxes. I don’t take my Clarisonic when I travel, so the Foreo seems like a useful item, too. I’m happy to see no real make-up for the first time in awhile except for the setting powder which I can pass on to a niece. So, this is a win box.

Christine
Allure is a $15 box and BeautyFix is a $25 box. Also, the Luna was newer and more novel last year. Many received from Allure, many have bought the full size since then and other devices have been released. Even newer models of this device have come out since then.
And a lot of dermatologists don’t recommend these gadgets as much anymore as they can be too abrasive on the skin and cause broken capillaries. People have moved on to more sophisticated chemical exfoliants and so the hype has gone down.
Reply
Donna
People’s reactions might be different this time because a lot of the Foreo Plays received from the Allure box died after a few uses and it’s not rechargeable. Thus the Play is seen as a less valuable item after hearing about the low battery life.

Omg I accused my 12 year old of messing with it and leaving it on. I feel so bad!

So this box is pretty much just the Luna . , ,

Yeah, that’s how I feel, too. Well, the Juice Beauty cleanser is nice, but everything else seems like filler.

I’m on product overload, but needed an acne cleanser for the hot summer and I’m excited to try the foreo when I travel and can’t bring my clarisonic. The hair vitamins are also useful. Not my favourite box from beauty fix but I’ll use everything so I’m happy!

Yikes…i have loved this box, but August will be a bust mostly. Due to no gallbladder, ibs, and gerd. All supplements will have to be given away or garbage. At least the foreo covers the cost of the box, and I have always wanted to try it. So that will keep my spirits up.
