Orglamix Subscription Box Review + Coupon – July 2017

Orglamix July 2017 Natural Beauty Subscription Box

Orglamix is a vegan and cruelty-free beauty subscription containing loose shadows, glitter pigments, aromatherapy roll-ons, and more. Many of the items in the subscription will be unique to the subscription and not available in the Orglamix shop (although they will have the same great formula).

They are now doing custom box prints every month and they’re quite pretty.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The box came with an information card detailing the items for July as well as the monthly theme (“Beat the heat”).

Heatwave Natural Eyeshadow – Listed Value $12.50

You’ll get at least one loose powder eyeshadow each month with Orglamix. The shades, like this one, are usually exclusive to the subscription box. I really like the formula of these; they blend well and over primer, they last on my oily eyelids all day. This color is also very wearable for me.

Healthy Bronze Glow Bronzer – Listed Value $18

I am pale and bronzer makes my face look dirty. But, this has enough pink that it can totally be used as a blush. I have an Orglamix blush in a slightly different color with the same formula that I use a lot and I am happy to add this to my collection as well. (Sorry no makeup look. I had oral surgery last week and there were complications requiring an ER visit and I am not really wanting my face on camera at the moment.) I believe this is also an exclusive shade but the value is consistent with other bronzers on the Orglamix site.

Citrus Splash Sugar Balm Body Scrub – Listed Value $12

Body scrub is probably my number 1 favorite bath/body item to get in subscription boxes. I use it every day and go through it so quickly. This smells really nice and I like that it’s low on the liquid and high on the sugar – I find dense scrubs like this more effective than really liquidy ones.

Neroli Floral Essence Setting Spray – Listed Value $15

It is so hot here this year and my skin has been so oily, I need all the help I can get. This has a light floral scent but it hasn’t irritated my skin. I haven’t worn a full face of makeup in almost a week due to the oral surgery issues mentioned above but this also worked quite nicely as a midday face mist.

Hyaluronic Acid Serum – Value $32

This is really lightweight and moisturizing. It doesn’t take much to hydrate my skin and because it’s not super heavy, I’m much more likely to continue using it long term. I’m just not feeling thick, heavy moisturizers or oils right now. (I don’t really have wrinkles or fine lines yet, although hyaluronic acid holds a lot of moisture close to the skin and is supposed to help with those things.)

Here are swatches of the eyeshadow (top) and bronzer (bottom). Sorry if the picture is a little weird; I’m testing a new photo setup and I’m not sure I’ve hit the right combination of parameters yet.

Verdict: I calculated a value of $89.50 for the July Orglamix subscription box. I had to take most of the values from the information card because many of the items were exclusives, but the price of the eyeshadow, for example, is right in line with non-exclusive shades from the Orglamix shop. I definitely feel like you are getting a good value here. There is a little bit of a risk with this subscription in that some months are more fragrance heavy, some are more skincare heavy, and some are more makeup heavy, and you don’t always know which of those to expect. I happen to be open to most items in these categories (especially since I don’t have many beauty subscriptions any longer), so I was happy with the box this month.

What do you think of the July 2017 Orglamix box?
