That Daily Deal is a site for daily flash sales at deep discounts. They also offer two subscription boxes, the Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter and the Mini Mystery Box by Jamminbutter. The super-random assortment of products in these boxes are a true surprise—no themes here! Just lots of unexpected fun.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This review is for the Mini Mystery Box by Jamminbutter, $9.99 a month, box.

The Subscription Box: Mini Mystery Box by Jamminbutter

The Cost: $9.99 a month

The Products: The products you receive are a complete mystery! There's no theme and items are pretty much gender neutral.

Ships to: U.S. for free

I got two scratch off cards in this box which offers a discount when you order from the 13 Deals shop. Both codes ended up being only 5% off, but I'm not sure if that's the only discount, or if you can get something better.

There's another card that details how you can win two gravity chairs by sharing on Facebook.

And on the flip side it reminds you of their other mystery box, just for dogs.

Urban Solar Butterfly Stick Ornament - Value $7.69 (available via Amazon)

This is a garden ornament featuring a little purple butterfly that twirls around it's base, powered by the sun. I'm not a butterfly type of gal, but my aunts all love them, so I may ship this over to one of them to enjoy!

It's super easy to put together, only consisting of connecting the length of the stick and adding the butterfly on top.

The butterfly is a lightweight plastic that allows it to flutter around on the wire, powered by the solar panel on the pole.

The bottom has a stake to easily stick into the ground in your yard or garden.

The Original Red Nek Party Shot Bottle Stopper - Value $13.22 (via Amazon)

This item strikes me as a gift for a just-turned-21-year-old college student. It's not for me, but I may try to pass it on to a cousin who fits the bill.

The solo cup is iconic, but since I skipped going to college, I missed out on the whole beer-pong party-phase of my life. I'm ok with that.

I'm really surprised by the retail price of this, but it is a solidly made item. The mini solo cup is made of melamine, and the stopper is stainless steel and rubber.

Here I've put it in a bottle of wine to show how it fits as a stopper, but I assume this is more widely used on a bottle of liquor, so you can use the solo cup as a shot glass.

My Boom Wireless Speaker - Value $9.99 (via Amazon)

I have a bluetooth speaker that recently stopped working, so I can't listen to any jams while in the shower anymore. I was hoping this little fella would remedy the situation, but I don't think it packs the punch needed to exceed the sound of running water.

It's about the size of an iPhone charger wall-plug, which is actually quite impressive.

It also comes with the USB cord necessary to charge it up, and a lanyard so you can have it hang from your headphone jack (unless, like me, you have an iPhone 7 that no longer has such jack. Blerg.).

This speaker is really easy to use and only has one button that you hold in power up or down. I effortlessly connected it to the bluetooth on my phone. It even talks you, saying "My Boom! Ready to Boom!" upon powering up and says "Powering Down" when you turn it off.

Even though the speaker is all about that treble, that treble, no bass, it has something much more useful to me: a built-in remote shutter button for your phone's camera! I don't have anything like that, and normally I'd have to use the timer setting to take a selfie that doesn't have my arm in it. Once this cube connects to your bluetooth, you can keep it in hand and use it to trigger your camera wirelessly. Pretty cool!

Verdict: This month's Mini Mystery Box by Jamminbutter was mostly a miss for me, but I received items I can easily pass on to others that would make good stocking stuffers at Christmas, and can now take better selfies. The overall value of this month's offerings is just over $30, which is actually quite a good deal considering it only costs $9.99.
