Kitty Camper Toy 2 Pack – Value $6.99
These are a Meowbox exclusive. I think they are adorable. They are the largest of the plush catnip toys we received this month. They seem well-made and I know Monkey got a kick out of them.
Camp Meowbox Toys 3 Pack – Value $5.99
These are smaller, round catnip plush toys and they are also a Meowbox exclusive. These were super popular. Madison rolled all over them and Monkey licked them until they are wet. Sometimes the simplest toys are the best!
Cat Camp Ball Chase from AnimaLove – Value $10
This seems a bit pricey to me but it is another Meowbox exclusive and that’s what they’re selling it for in their shop. Dangly things on strings are always good with my crew and both Angus and Sneaky took an interest in this. Angus liked biting and chewing on the wicker balls, which is a little odd but was fun to watch.
Kettle Craft Savoury Canadian Turkey Recipe (3 oz) – Value $3?
This is a treat that appears to be available only in stores in Canada, so the value is an estimate based on similar American brands. These are semi-moist, turkey-flavored treats that were pretty much universally popular among my crew. (Unfortunately, Mr. Kitty can’t have them, but everyone else enjoyed one or several.)
S’Meow S’Mores Purrlease – Value $5.99
This is yet another Meowbox exclusive toy that goes along very nicely with the campfire theme. These seem pretty sturdy so far and the marshmallow faces are pretty cute. (These are also catnip plush toys.) These got played with by several cats, but Mr. Kitty actually seemed interested (not so much playing, but sniffing, which ought to count for something since he is old and nearly blind), so that was wonderful!
Gratuitous cat photo time:
Angus with a treat.
It’s a little hard to see, but he’s biting this.
Just after the ball swings away. I like the look on his face.
I caught Madison and put him in the bathroom so I could get some pictures of him when he was not under the bed. He really enjoyed rolling around on these.
And we got some good pictures with treats, too!
Monkey licks a treat. I believe Sneaky ultimately stole it from him, though.
Monkey also spent a lot of time rolling around on the floor with toys.
Most of my pictures of Sneaky are like this, these days.
But she did bite this toy, too!
I usually have to pose Mr. Kitty with toys when I start taking photos.
He was actually investigating the smores on his own! (His pictures are a little blurry because I have to turn the flash off so he will open his eyes.)
And I caught him yawning, too.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $32 for the July Meowbox. That’s a really good value for a $23 cat subscription box (cat boxes are notoriously low in value). Also, every single toy was a hit, every cat liked at least one or two things, and the treats were very popular with my guys and gal. This month was a big win for us from Meowbox!
What did you think of the July 2017 Meowbox? Do you subscribe to any cat boxes?
