Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that caters to plus size women between the sizes of 10-32. Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like and they are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items sent to you are at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. I just started using the service last month and can say I am really impressed with them!

This review is of the one item at a time for two items that I received between June 27th through July 18th.
Reiss dress in Bauhaus Print by Rachel Antonoff, size 3x
As soon as I received this dress, I was kind of bummed I didn’t have a special event like a wedding to wear this piece! It is so unique, but I feel like that is something to expect from Rachel Antonoff’s designs! This dress is gorgeous and you feel like a walking piece of art in it! The fabric has a nice stretch, but the cut almost felt like it was tailored for my body. The fabric is a bit thick and stretchy, but is quite structured; similar to the scuba fabric that was popular a few summers back. The fluttery sleeves are such a sweet touch too. I really loved this dress.
Cait Dress in Darkest Indigo by Ainsley, size 24
I am a sucker for a peter pan collar, and I am especially a sucker for one on a dress like this one. It harkens back to fashion icons of yore for me like Courtney Love in the 90s to fictional characters like Wednesday Adams and Nancy of the old Ernie Bushmiller comics of the same name. I picture pairing this up with a faux fur coat and boots in the winter time months or a pair of saddle shoes to give it a sassy and classic Audrey Horne vibe. It is a timeless look. I love the soft and sheer chiffon-like fabric of this dress; it makes it perfect for work in an office in these humid summer months. The stretchy under slip is great too because it not only keeps the dress from being completely transparent but also makes it incredibly comfortable to wear. The cut is great and I love how it defines my waist. I have similar, cooler weather varieties of this dress in black; so I am of course tempted to keep this one for my own because it could be worn all year.
Verdict: Gwynnie Bee is awesome! The pieces they sent me this month were both fantastic and it will be hard mailing either of the items back. I love that they are a rental service, so you actually can wear the items out and about and return them at your convenience. It really allows you to play with fashion and try items you may never have chosen due to style or cost. Plus I like that you are the one selecting the items; the only roll of the dice is which piece will be sent to you first! Why not take that chance? I think it is worthwhile.
