Nilai Summer Bangle Cauri - Value $55

This piece is made of brass and gilded with 18K gold (or soaked in a silver bath if you went with the silver option.)

It's easy to adjust to get your ideal fit, too.

All Emma & Chloe pieces also come with a certificate of authenticity:

Verdict: I'm not sure if everyone will love the lobster claw bangle this month, but I've been in love with lobsters ever since Pheobe told Ross that Rachel was his Lobster, so this is my new favorite bracelet!

In general, if you love delicate jewelry like I do, I highly recommend this subscription.

Plus I love that they let you specify if you want gold or silver - I think that really helps cut out the risk of this subscription. And the packaging and presentation of this subscription box are amazing. This definitely qualifies as a gift to yourself - it was so fun to unbox!

Has anyone had any problems trying to cancel your subscription? I’ve sent 3 emails telling them I want to cancel and have had no response.

I was pretty much prepared not to like this piece, based on the spoiler pics.

However, I just got it today and totally love it! I wear it with the shells down and it looks and feels absolutely lovely.

I’ve loved almost everything from this sub so far, many of the pieces seemed “not me” at first but I’ve grown to love them all, except the last set of earrings. They look good, but are too hard to put on.

All quality stuff here, I’ve wanted to try other subs but they seem like mostly costume pieces.

I just got mine and am wearing it now. I like it more than I thought I would!

I’m wearing mine at work today, paired with the braided bracelet from 2 months ago’s box. They look very cool together and have had several compliments on the combo. It’s kind of a conversation piece and I like the backstory of the cauri shell which it’s patterned after. According to legend it brings the wearer wealth, prosperity, luck and travel. I AM ALL IN for all of that!!

I just received mine & also paired it with the braided bracelet. It’s both fun and unique. Plus – just perfect for summer. I have loved all the pieces I’ve received and look forward to my box each month.

Cauri=Cowry/Cowrie Shells a symbol of prosperity, of fertility. Cowries have been used as currency, jewelry, and good luck charms. They’re beautiful shells, and their undersides can indeed resemble a vulva to some folks. You may not like it, but it is, to me, a really cool cuff-the pictures do not do the fine detail casting justice. It’s well-made and substantial, but delicate. I personally am a fan. Paired with some other shell bangles and cuffs it is right on the nose for this summer’s trends. Looks great with last months necklace, and May’s earrings!

They don’t look complete enough to be shells, so they look more like claws to me. Either way, I prefer my jewelry to not look like things, so this isn’t my favorite E&C piece. I probably won’t wear this piece much, or I’ll find someone to gift it to.

I still love this sub, though. Looking forward to next month!

(I do wish they would invest in a small box or card to hold the necklaces so they don’t tangle.)

Thanks!

Hey-your attitude about this is really nice to read! I have been surprised by how abrasive the reactions to this piece are. It’s awesome to see people who have a positive mindset towards subs-ie not everything may suit you exactly, but that’s okay!

And yes please! Card those necklaces guys! Or put the chains in a tiny zip bag-they just get so tangled in transit ://

It’s not a lobster claw, lol. It’s cowrie shells! I love it, but it is really small. It looks awesome stacked with my Hawaiian shell bangles, which are super popular. This is so on trend and perfect for summer! Love!

Jennifer

I’m with you! These are definelty cowrie shells. They don’t even look like lobster claws to me?

Jen

I think this is cool and different, and can add variety and texture to a stack. Of course, now I have “Rock Lobster,” running through my head.

JB

the va-jay-jay bracelet!!! LOL…

My thoughts exactly. This has to be the worse. I wanted to cancel but I was 2 late. Out of the 4 pieces they have sent me, the rope bracelet and a pair of earrings are the only ones I liked. I hate having to pay for junk I don’t want or like. Discounts for days for new comers but no incentive for long time subscribers.

I know I have big wrists – I am 6-foot tall, so I guess that’s why! – but I thought this was a child’s bracelet at first. It looks OK stretched, but I signed up on a six-month deal, and I hope the rest are necklaces and earrings. I hate to see what a ring looks like.

Kristy

Oh no! I’m 6′ also and still waiting for mine to be delivered. I hope it fits because I love the design!

Julie

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this but I got my box today and it looks nice on. I put the claws on the inside of my wrist. It is nice because it is adjustable and I can make it fit my tiny wrist.

Renee

Nope. This is fairly ugly.

Anna

SO UGLY!

It’s ok and I’ll probably wear it sometimes. It looks like bones to me, not too crazy about it. I did like the necklace last month and the earrings before. Somehow I lost the earrings though and I’m so sad, hoping they turn up sometime. But I am actually cancelling the sub after this month, just don’t feel it’s worth $35.

Daria

It’s ok. I think I’ll wear it with the claws on the inside of my wrist. I find the whole cowrie shell/claw thing just a little disturbing. Kind of weird and almost icky. The band itself though is nice.

I don’t know about this one. This is my second box with them and I don’t think I’m going to be too crazy about this bracelet, but we will see. I’ll be curious to see how many of these wind up on the swap site. I did like my necklace last month and I’m very much looking forward to the next one!
