Now, on to the items!

Earthwise Beauty Nap in the Meadow Serum – Value $50

This is the most lightweight serum I've ever tried. And the first ingredient is organic aloe leaf juice, so it is super hydrating and refreshing. It's designed to be used on a freshly cleansed face before any heavier oils/moisturizers. I used it right before this next item:

Earthwise Beauty Ruby Facial Oil – Value $58

This oil is my favorite scent in the box. It is made with guava, raspberry, and cranberry oils, and the scent is light, fruity, and fresh. (It almost smells like cucumber to me, but that's not listed in the ingredients. There is celery, though!)

Where the Nap in the Meadow Serum felt lighter than water, this feels more like a traditional oil serum. It still was pretty lightweight for an oil, though, and it absorbed into my skin within a few minutes.

Earthwise Beauty Farizad’s Veil – Value $50

And this last product is a sunscreen powder you can mix with any facial oil to make your own SPF treatment. (It mixed wonderfully with the Ruby Facial Oil.) And from what I read on their site, it sounds like this is the healthiest/cleanest SPF you can get:

The sun protective ingredient here is highest-grade, minimally processed non-nano and uncoated zinc oxide (particle size 325 nm), which is the healthiest, safest, and most reliable sunscreen ingredient available today (the only other nontoxic option is titanium dioxide, another mineral sunscreen, but it does not offer full-spectrum UV protection; all other sunscreen options are chemical compounds). Nano particles are controversial and it remains to be proven whether they are safe for our health, and we specifically used uncoated zinc oxide as the most unrefined, most natural version (coated zinc oxide means that the particles have been coated with another substance).

It's a bit tricky to determine how much SPF you are getting, though. Here are the instructions:

A barely whitened skin will give an SPF of 20–25, skin whitened by one shade will give an SPF of 30–35, and slightly more whitened skin will provide an SPF of 50.

The whitening part is the only downside for me (it is subtle) but since I apply this before my foundation, (which is full coverage) it ended up not being an issue.

Verdict: The June Boxwalla Green Beauty subscription box has a value of about $158! I think that's a great value for the $49.95 price if you are looking for high-end natural and organic beauty and skincare products. I especially liked how all the items in this box worked together. What a perfect introduction to the Earthwise Beauty line.

This was a lovely box! Only thing is, if you are sensitive to scents the “nap in the meadow” may be a little too much as it is VERY strong (lavender scented predominately) – after I use it, AND all my other (way too many!) products at night, I can still smell this long after it’s been applied! I do like so far (and the Ruby oil even more!), but a little worried the “Nap” may end up being aggravating because sometimes lavender can bug my skin 😋

Try mixing it with your oil before applying. Might cut the scent down enough for you 🙂
